Hi doctor I m having rheumatoid arthritis for past 2 months, which type of treatment is best allopathy, siddha, or homeopathy?

Dear ayurvedic treatment is best for joints problem, follow the tips they will help u: Increase intake of barley flour, horse gram (a type of bean), split green gram, honey, celery seeds, cumin seeds, dried ginger root powder, garlic, bitter gourd and castor oil. Avoid eating fish and milk together or milk and jaggery together. Avoid incompatible, heavy, and oily foods Avoid an improper diet and lifestyle, such as waking up late in the night, suppressing natural urges of the body, and getting direct exposure to cold winds. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Ankle stretching. Ankle strengthening exercises. Avoid squatting. Quadriceps exercises. Core strenthening exercises. Stretch calves get a custom made insole. Hams stretching. Sports taping. Hot fomentation.

This is due to lack of intake of less water intake and pure foot care particularly feet hygiene you must be walking a lot you must apply cream foot after proper washing and drying properly. You can consult a dermatologist for the same.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Goodevening lybrate-user kumar I have read your question. First of all back pain is very common nowdays. Due to sedentary life style and not doing proper exercises our back problems have increased. Very important point improper posture causes most of the back problems. I would advice you a few simple but very important exercises. > lie down on your back and then lift you hip up and hold for 10 seconds. You must bend your knees when you do that. > tilt your hip side ways right and left. > then in the lying down position you could raise one leg at a time and hold for 10 counts. >then get back to lie down on your stomach. These set of exercises are for spinal extension. You could raise one leg in the extended position and then bring it down. > then do a cat camel position so that you dip your spine downwards and upwards. >then stand against a wall and do squatting exercises that will compress your spine and then this will increase disc space. Kindly do all thses exercises morning and evening 5 times each. Apart from all this you take a hot water fermentation for your back atleast for 20 mins. Preacuations - do not suddenly bend down and lift any heavy object - you could lie down with a pillow under your knees. - do regular exercises and eat healthy diet. - make sure that your posture is straight and you do not stoop to fowrad or backward. - do not continuously sit in front of the computer for long hours. Please let me know how you are feeling after 20 days. You will see a difference.

Firstly avoid sitting cross-legged and squatting, do hot fomentation if not having high blood sugar. Take medicines and apply local diclofenac gel. Walk with a tripod stick. If still pain persists then go for joint replacement. Do not delay if there is severe pain.

BACK ACHE sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. (b) use no pillow under the head. i would advise you to go for mri lumbosacral spine to rule out vertebral or disc disease....painkillers will give short relief...avoid prolonged standing or sitting and carrying haevy loads..visit ur nearby neurologist. good luck

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
