In these kind of condition, the panchkarma therapy is very effective. The aim of the ayurveda treatment is to bring vitiated vata in equilibrium. Most popular panchkarma therapy for this is kati vasti, means squeezing of medicated oil with the help of cotton cloth over the lower back & retained inside with the help of a herbal paste boundary. It is a process of fomentation, highly effective for treating diseases caused by vitiation of vata dosha. Duration of treatment varies according to the severity of symptoms of the patient. Elakizhi- special herbal pack massage with kati vasti gives strength to the muscle and improves the mobility. Requirement of therapy -7, 14, 21 days therapy course depending on the severity of symptoms along with oral medicines for 3-4months.

I am 42 years old and working on computer for about 8 hours (sitting job). I am suffering from severe pain in the back side right ribs specially in the morning when I wake up. After woke up it becomes somewhat normal but in the morning (wake up) having severe pain in the back right hand side ribs. Pls. Help me to solve this.

Hello first of all you correct your posture or sitting arrangement every two hour you take some rest like 10 steps walking your office and when you go on bed applied ice massage an early morning do some back extending exercise that's it.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Muscular Dystrophy -  How To Deal With It?

If your kid is affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), it is important for you to know about the best ways of dealing with the condition. Muscular dystrophy consists of group of diseases, which result in the weakening of muscles along with reduced flexibility. DMD accounts for being the most common type of muscular dystrophy. It occurs because of flaws in the gene, which controls how your body keeps the muscles healthy. This disease affects boys and the symptoms start appearing from early childhood.

Treatment
There is no specific treatment for DMD. However, there are several ways, including medicines and therapy, to deal with the symptoms and to protect the muscles.

  1. Several steroids such as prednisone help in slowing down muscle damage. Children taking this medicine are able to walk for two to five years longer than they would usually do. Lung and heart functions are also improved.
  2. DMD leads to heart problems and hence, you should take your child to a heart doctor for regular checkups until the age of 10.
  3. In some cases, a surgery may be required to fix their shortened muscles, for straightening the spine, or for treating a heart or lung problem.

Taking care of your child
If your child has DMD, it does not mean that he will have to refrain from activities such as school, sports and spending time with friends. By sticking to the right treatment plan, you will be able to make your child active.

  1. Stand and walk: Being in an upright position will keep your child’s bones strong and the spine straight. You can get your child braces or standing walkers, which will help him in terms of balance and mobility.
  2. Eat right: Although there is no special diet for DMD, several food items should be taken for preventing problems related to weight. Your child should eat the proper amount of food with a proper balance of nutrients and calories regularly.
  3. Stay active: You should ensure that your child exercises regularly. Regular stretching exercises help in keeping the muscles and joints limber, which makes him feel better. You can avail the help of a physical therapist for an exercise schedule.

You can look for and join local support groups associated with DMD, as other families living with DMD can be a source of good advice and understanding about life with DMD.

hi vidya!!! head n back pain is common in pregnancy.only your BP should not be high.correct posture is important. use balm for headache.use pain sprays for backache. weight will increase don't worry. indigestion and acidity is also common.avoid fatty n spicy foods.take antacid syrup like digene half hour before meals. start going for a walk daily.you'll feel more active. these simple tips will help you feel better. if not then consult your obstetrician.

I am 35 year old last year had angioplasty. No have slightly pain in back and fronts chest. Like. Stretching lipid profile in almost normal. Triglycerides is little bit higher side. Do I need to worry or its life mussels streach.

High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. Garlic,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines . Cap. Ecosprin gold-10 at night daily.

I have a temporal knee pain in the muscles beneath knee when I bent my knee. Actually I jumped from a wall 20 days ago and that pain still remains. It happens only when I bent my knee around 3-4 minutes. I apply volini as well as knee bandage over it.

Does she have pain in both joints or one only at her age its common to have dgenerativre diseases of bones the first thing she must do is not to sit on the floor she should sit about 1 1/2 feet above the ground level use only western toilet this will reduce the pain and delay the degenerative process get an xray to see what the problem is let me know after the xray is done.
