It happens in perimenopausal women or around that time. You can eat more soya rich food which contains natural estrogen along with calcium. Her symptoms will go in 2-3 months time. Menses are not needed to be regularised at this age as you r already suffering from hypertension. If heavy bleeding is there then you should get sonography and pap test done.

Sir I have gastric problem and ulcer problem I need to rectify this problem with medicine I am taking lot of medicine. But not cured how to cure this.

If you have gastric ulcer, I advice you to consult Gastroenterologist for proper advice and treatment. Follow the advice given below 1. Take bland diet, Avoid foods which cause acidity like spicy, oily, fatty and junk foods, onion, garlic, citrus fruit like orange grape, lemon, tomato, cucumber, raddish, vinegar, pickle etc 2. Have proper Breakfast, Don’t skip or postpone your meal, Take home made food, Avoid food and water from outside, 3. Eat food slowly, don’t rush, take smaller meals at frequent intervals like 5-6 meals per day, and don't overeat. Limit fluid intake during meal4. Drink plenty of water (8-10 glass daily). Take your meal regularly and timely. Avoid fasting, Don’t skip your breakfast. 5. Stop smoking, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, excess tea or coffee, carbonated drinks if you are having,6. Avoid stress, have adequate rest, sleep for 7-8 hours daily in night, go for regular exercise, practice yoga/meditation 7. Take one tablet of pan40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days.

Hi, please follow these tips to get rid of constipation: 1. Drink 2-3 lts of water per day. 2. Consume lot of fibre in your diet like raw vegetables, fruits, whole grains, oats. Etc. 3. Eat one fully ripe big banana at bed time. 4. Drink one glass of hot milk with one spoon of ghee in it at bedtime. 5. Take your food at regular intervals. Avoid spicy and oil fried food. 6. Never curb the urge to pass stools. 7. Never put in lot of pressure to pass stools. 8. Take 1tsf of isabgol powder with a glass of hot water at bedtime to get an easy evacuation. 9. Do sitz bath twice daily.

Light therapy for treating Seasonal Affective disorder

One of the unique forms of depression is the Seasonal affective disorder which is characterized by the onset of depression with the start of the winter months and a full remission during spring time. Seasonal affective disorder is a form of depression that affects about 1 in 20 people around the world on average. One of the common therapies used to treat this disorder is light therapy.

What is light therapy?

Light therapy is the controlled exposure to specific amounts of bright light on a daily basis as a medicinal tool to correct depression and other mental disorders. It has been noticed that the lack of exposure to lights may trigger certain mental disorders within patients and controlled exposure to bright light over a stipulated period of time every day may be able to correct this effectively.

How it works?

Brightness within the daily world is usually measured with the unit of lux. For all types of artificial lights, the measure of luminosity is estimated via this unit. Human beings have an automatic trigger where low light levels for continued periods may cause depression. A clear sunny day outdoors will have a measurement of 10,000 lux and this is the recommended dosage for exposure for people suffering from depression.

It has been seen in studies that people with severe forms of Seasonal Affective disorder responded well to this therapy. They were treated 30 minutes daily with light exposure and over time the study showed that it significantly improved the moods of the people.

Some of the reasons why light therapy proves to be an effective treatment option for SAD include:

  • It resets the circadian rhythm - Controlled exposure to light will trigger the hormones that control the circadian rhythms or the daily rhythms of sleeping and walking cycles and thus will help reduce depression.
  • It triggers neurotransmitter function - Light exposure triggers certain neurotransmitter functions which work like an antidepressant and thus relieves stress or other internal functions that may cause depression.
  • Results in an increase in serotonin levels - This hormone is very important for mood elevation and is known to rise with increased light levels and decrease with low light levels. Controlled exposure can definitely help improve serotonin levels for lessening depression symptoms.

Acne or pimples is a chronic disease involving the pilosebaceous follicles. Sebaceous glands are found most abundantly on the face and scalp, though they are present on every part of the skin except the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. Though the sebaceous gland is a mini organ, it is anatomically and functionally related to the hair follicle. Cutaneous disorders attributed to the sebaceous gland are really disorders of the entire pilosebaceous unit. The areas most commonly involved in acne are the face, upper chest, and back. For removal of black marks you can apply pure coconut oil daily before sleeping, don't apply while going out in sun together with this constitutional homoeopathic treatment will give you best results.

I am type 1 diabetic patient. I am taking insulin 26 in morning and 16 at night. Today morning at 6.30 I checked my sugar it was 47 and after some time at 10 again I checked my sugar it was 155 without eating anything. How it is increased.

This leads to release of a hormone Glucagon from alpha cells in the pancreas. That hormone causes breakdown of glycogen in the liver, producing glucose, which in turn increases blood glucose. Body can not tolerate low glucose state for long time. Hence, this counter regulatory mechanism is activated. Thanks.

hi, since your age here showing that you are in the menopausal stage so these symptoms are normal. This is not a disease and every woman has to through this phase. I would suggest you to get your physiological health check up done first.Get your CBC, blood pressure, blood sugar, thyroid and lipid profile done along with vit B12 and vit D. you may show me the test results here on lybrate for further discussion. Eat healthy light food, drink lots of water and take good rest. And go for a brisk walk daily for at least half an hour.
