Always use kidodent paste with kidodent mouthwash. Brush 2 times daily. Keep practice to clean mouth after every meal. Don't give him junk food. Not only it affects only tooth but also creates other health problem.

Root Canal Treatment

Master of Dental Surgery
Dentist, Gurgaon
Root Canal Treatment

The treatment to save and repair a badly infected or damaged tooth is known as Root Canal Treatment. The backbone of the procedure includes removal of the pulp which is the damaged region of the tooth, disinfecting and cleaning the pulp and finally sealing the area. The common problems that affect the pulp are a deep cavity, cracked tooth, pain or recurring dental treatment. The nerve of a tooth is not absolutely important for tooth’s functioning and health after it has emerged through the gums. Its only purpose is sensation – whether an item is hot or cold. It is not required for daily functioning.

Damage to the pulp or nerve tissue of a tooth can break it down and cause bacterial growth which in turn leads to an infection and an abscessed tooth. The abscess is a pocket that is filled with pus which is formed at the base of the roots of the tooth. Additionally, infection at the root canal can cause:

1. Loss of bone at the tip of the root.

2. Swelling that might spread to other areas of the face and body

A typical root canal treatment, which happens over a few office visits, involves the following steps:

1. X-Ray: In case you need root canal treatment, X-rays might be taken or previous X-rays could be checked in order to locate the area of decay.

2. Anaesthesia: Administration of local anaesthesia is administered to the infected tooth.

3. PulpectomyThe diseased tooth is removed by making an opening at the area.

4. Filling: The opened roots are filled using gutta-percha material and sealed off using cement.

Hi doctors I had a tooth problem my last two teeth has a black patch and it's paining continues what to do?
A black patch on your teeth is suggestive of tooth decay. As you said that there is pain too, you surely require to get those teeth treated at the earliest. Depending on the extent of decay your teeth may require filling or root canal treatment. Tooth decay if left unattended will go on increasing leading to loss of your teeth. Please visit your dentist at the earliest.

Dirt on our teeth should be cleaned continuously or not, what is the period for cleaning teeth?

Dirt on our teeth should be cleaned continuously or not, what is the period for cleaning teeth?
All individuals requires scaling (cleaning) to be done atleast once in 6 months to maintain our oral hygiene clean. Our toothbrush is not much finely designed to clean all the plaque and calculi in the interdental areas of the teeth, which is the area where most of the calculus accumulate much and has to be removed regularly using scalers by the dentist.

It will move out in your bowel. Don't worry. But if you start having pain someday please consult a gastro doctor. Now you need to go to your dentist and ask him to fix the retainer again. Otherwise the treatment will relapse.

Hi before that you should take an x-ray to find out the severity of the infection and the strength of the tooth. If there infection is very bad you can take the tooth out and replace it with ceramic bridge. Or you can perform a root canal and save the teeth.

You need to go for cleaning and scaling for plaque removal. Rinse mouth with chlorhexidine mouthwash. Brush regularly two times daily.
