I suffer from uncontrollable head jerks (which also makes my arms fly up) and weird single hiccups. These happen all throughout the day and is making me go crazy. I want it to stop! These head jerks cause terrible headaches then feel like my temple and brain is pulsating. I have also over the past.

Doctor of Naturopathy & Natural Medicines, DM - Clinical Haematology
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Agra
For head jerks start putting 2 drops warmed cow ghee in your both nostrils, your head jerks will be gone permanently, do not go for allopathy medicines your condition will only worsen, cow ghee on the other hand reaches those areas of your brain where allopathy and even homeopathy fails to reach, secondly keep your head in east or south direction while sleeping. Start doing surya namaskar and brahmbari pranayam for yet another amazing result. Start drinking shyam tulsi kaadha everday, put mashed 10 -15 leaves of tulsi in water boil it and drink, throw the leaves or swallow it, dnt chew d leaves, tulsi has mercury in it you may break your teeth. For hiccups: common causes of hiccups stretching of the stomach after eating or drinking sudden emotional excitement sudden change of air temperature (eg. Cool shower very hot/cold food or drink alcohol or excess smoking heartburn or acid reflux other serious conditions may include: irritation of the diaphragm by infection hiatus hernia brain infection or tumor severe kidney failure infections such as malaria multiple sclerosis remedy: peel a small piece of fresh ginger and chew on it slowly to get rid of your hiccups. Thanks!

: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.
