Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Recent reports have raised the concern that clozapine increases the risk for diabetes mellitus. Accurate pharmacoepidemiologic data on whether such a hazard exists and its magnitude are needed to enable clinicians and patients to make proper treatment decisions about clozapine. I suggest you to consult your psychiatrist for more clear insight. Take care.

I have back pain from the last 1 year. When ever its come I will do the physiotherapy it recover in 2-3 day. But it is not completely cured still now. Now tell me what are precautions to be taken to avoid back pain.

Backache in young age is commonly due to 1. Muscle strain resulting from improper posture. 2. Intervertebral disc bulge or prolapse. Follow these to get relief. 1. Take anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen round the clock for pain relief for 4 to 5 days. 2.Take rest for 3 to 4 days but avoid total bed rest. 4. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily once pain is relieved and continue these exercises. Daily walk is a good way to strengthen the spine. 5.Apply analgesic cream over back followed by warm fomentation. 6. Keep pillow behind your knees at bedtime. While sleeping on sides keep pillow between knees. 7. Do not bend and lift weights. 8. Avoid sitting on floor or sitting cross-legged or prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 9. If back pain is accompanied with radiating leg pain or tingling, numbness or weakness, consult your doctor. You should also follow ergonomic measures during your daily life. Inform details of your backache and kind of work you do to guide you better regarding lifestyle changes. You should consult a pain specialist in your city for evaluation of your backache as they can identify your pain generator and treat accordingly. For further queries consult again.

Hello doctor, I am getting dryness in the face only from past 6 days only I am getting this problem.It looks ugly and not clear skin, can you help me in this problem.

To maintain the skin health and reduce the dry skin condition, follow this - 1.Bathe with gentle soaps. If possible use some natural ingredients like gramflour, turmeric mixed with some milk to bathe daily. This does not wash your skin off the natural oils. 2.Keep your bath short and do not use hot water to bathe. Use only lukewarm water. 3.Apply Vitamin E oil or warm olive oil on the body after bathing. You can also use a good moisturiser. 4.Cocoa butter mixed with wheat germ oil is also very good at maintaining the skin health. 5.You can mix some oils like – Sesame, olive, virgin coconut oil, wheat germ oil to apply before going to bed. 6.Consume diet that is rich in vitamin E, omega 3 and 6 and other skin friendly vitamins like vitamin E and A. Eat almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds, sesame seeds to maintain skin health. 7.Keep yourself hydrated. Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water to keep your skin soft and supple.

Hi ,I started jogging 2 days back when I do my lower leg muscles get to tight and unable to walk I need to take rest and get pain in both muscles and bone.

u had cramps or muscle tightness in your leg - it happens normaly as muscles need time to adapt .kindly do walking initially than start doing jogging - take rest - go for hot water fermentation take proper water and food intake also.

Hello, I am 21 years male. Mujhe aaj acidic vomiting hui thi. Ab mai thik hu. Lekin vomiting ke baad se hi mere throat mai dard hone laga hai. Khana khane mai bi problem ho ri hai. Ye vomit se hua hai kya? Nd pls advice how to cure it. Feeling pain in taking any liquid things also.

Due to acid in stomach sometime throat get erroded a little. So irritation will remain for sometimes. Take more liquid. It will go away.

My husband 61 years old suffering from pain (Both hands, Knee, Heel legs and feels digging in hands) please advice what he should do?

Rule out diabetes. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference?

Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight. * body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soupor salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * for thighs - work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times dailyd. * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories.

I am 20 years old suffering from ocd and taking a tablet ovabless daily. I had unprotected sex on 1st and 6th april and took ipill on both days. Had my periods on regular day that is 13 April. Again had unprotected sex on 26th april and took an ipill. Had bleeding on 3rd may till 6th may. No sign of periods yet. Had sex today but condom broke. Should I again take and ipill? And what about my periods.

I pill is an emergency contraceptive you should not use it in regular routine as it can cause hormonal imbalance in your body this time you can take it but hence on start taking regular birth control pills if you want to avoid pregnancy.

Do surya namskar. Nd take aloe vera juice with luke warm water. Do brisk walk. Take vegetable juice. Don't skip your breakfast. Take one fruit daily. Avoid sweets, potatoes, white rice, mango, banana, sugar. Take green tea without sugar. Take black tea without sugar.

Do take compulsory sleep of atleast 7to 8 hrs anything less than this can give you tiredness and sleepiness make your daily activities time schedule and follow it strictly to bring things on tract.
