Homoeopathic treatment------------------ topi berberis cream (wilmar schwabe india) apply during daytime------------- berberis-aquifolium 30 (sbl) drink 5 drops in 1 spoon water 3 timess daily-------------- aquiplus cream (hapdco) apply thick coat on face at night------------------ cleano face wash (lords) wash face with this face wash before applying creams------------ drink 6-8 glass water daily---------- drink 2 glasss milk daily----------- avoid fast food, junk food, fried food, chocklates, dry fruits, ketchups, cold drinks.----------------------------------- the percentage of dark spots increases as the exposure to the sun increases too. Since the rate of melanin would be decreases, it leads in turn to the darkening of the skin. So, apply sunscreen (homoeopathic suncare cream of bakson company), every time you go out and follow the recipes below in order to get relief from dark spots.-------------------------- instead of using the chemical products for your skin, try using some natural home remedies. Using home remedies can work out to be much cheaper than chemical based products and they can help treat your condition without any side effects. Caring for your skin is highly important. Here are some home remedies that allow your skin to be free of dark spots, black spots or pimple marks or even acne scars on the face.------------------ 1. Take a medium sized tomato and squeeze the juice from it, add one tablespoon of lemon juice to the tomato juice and stir the mixture well. Apply on the face and let it dry for 20 minutes. Rinse the face with warm water.----------------- 2. Take pulp from aloe vera leaves and let it dry in the sun for 5 minutes and then add few drops of lemon juice to the dried pulp. Apply this mixture on the face and wash it off after 15 minutes. The results are quite good.----------------------

My skin is oily and I am suffering from acne from last 2 years. please suggest any facewash and anti acne skin cream ...
Acne occurs when the pores on your skin become blocked with oil, dead skin, or bacteria. Each pore on your skin is the opening to a follicle. The follicle is made up of a hair and a sebaceous (oil) gland. The oil gland releases sebum (oil), which travels up the hair, out of the pore, and onto y skin. Drink water 10 glass / day wash your face 3 times / day avoid oily food eat one orange daily do not squeeze pimples, because that often leads to infections, worse acne and scars. Wash your hair often if your hair is oily. Try to keep your hair off of your face. Avoid hair care products such as gels, mousses, cream rinses, and pomades that contain a lot of oil. Use baksons sunny face wash. Avoid touching your face. Protect your skin from too much sun exposure. After 10 days revert me for complete cure.

Well along with oral and topical meds to reduce oil you will also need few treatment sessions of laser or microneedling to reduce pore size.

I have a red skin patch appeared 15 days before at centre inner fold of right arm. It also itches.
Dear lybrate-user Having a rash is a symptom and not a disease. You should note that any external malady expressed by your body is a result of the underlying internal cause. Rash is a condition of the skin wherein it becomes red, inflamed and itchy. The common causes of a rash could be- Due to contact with clothing (tight clothing, hard detergents used to wash) Allergies: in cases of contact with the allergen (specific). Disease conditions: Psoriasis, impetigo, eczema, STDs (genital herpes), etc. The line of treatment should be specific to your cause and individual constitution. It should include internal medicine with external application to provide with a complete and permanent cure. You should: Wear loose clothing (100% cotton). Apply neem based products on the rash to clear the toxins and keep the region hygienic. Keep your body hydrated. Trust this serves your introductory purpose. Please feel free to contact me. Revert back with your specific signs and symptoms such as pain, itching, odor, perspiration, color, location and any other concomitants for a more specific guide.

No medicine in the world for improving color. Improve inner color not external color. External color is God's gift. Inner color is your gift.

Your skin will be healthy and the face will be bright once you maintain healthy life style and disciplined habits. *.Take nutritious and timely food. *.Avoid fried foods and eat fruits, nuts, pulses, greens, milk and whole grains *.Drinking lots of water is good. Keep hydrated by drinking water and preferring juicy fruits.. *.Have timely and adequate sleep. Your body will be fresh after good night sleep. *.Be relaxed and avoid tension *.Daily jogging or such exercise to ensure good blood circulation which helps nutrients reaching the skin and all parts of body. Facial massage will also promote good circulation. *.Don’t expose to hot direct sun. Wear cap, full sleeve shirt and shoes which will protect you from sun.. Generally 10 AM to 4 PM is the hottest. Avoid exposure at that time. *. When you apply any cream, sun screen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of face. Your skin ‘breaths’ through its pores which are not to be closed for long. *HOMOEOPATHIC medicines are taken internally. Hence, NO DIRECT CONTACT with your delicate and sensitive skin, thereby no problem of skin allergy *Keep hydrated by drinking water and preferring juicy fruits. Your face will look brighter For any further help, we have good treatment in homoeopathy.Take homoeopathic medicine Berberis aquifolium mother tincture 5 to 10 drops in a glass of water once daily. How Lifestyle Factors Affects Your Skin?

DDVL, MBBS
Dermatologist, Bangalore
How Lifestyle Factors Affects Your Skin?

Blemish free skin, which is supple and radiant is everyone’s dream, however, there are certain lifestyle habits which can take a toll on your skin and affect it adversely.

Here are a few lifestyle habits which affect your skin:

  1. Smoking can speed up the process of aging: Smoking can affect your skin adversely as it strips your skin of essential nutrients and oxidants. This leads to degradation of the basic units of the skin- collagen and elastin. The affected units also lead to uneven skin, appearance of fine lines and sagging. A study has also proven that smoking causes acne as the pores in your skin get blocked.

  2. Stress: Stress has the power to cause major hormonal imbalances inside your body, which can affect your skin. Stress affects the skin’s barrier function which reduces its ability to absorb and retain moisture. Dehydrated skin looks dry and patchy and becomes flaky over time, leading to acne.

  3. Sleep: Sleeping for less than 6 hours at night can make you feel sleepy and tired the next day. Your skin also deals with the lack of rest which is why the radiance is lost and can lead to problems such as under eye bags, dark circles and saggy skin.

  4. Poor nutrition: Poor nutrition which lacks in essential vitamins and minerals can cause serious problems in the skin. Including foods which are rich in vitamin C such as fruits lime, oranges and tomatoes and fatty fishes such as tuna, mackerel and salmons can help you retain radiant skin. Adding colourful fruits and vegetables to your diet will help you detoxify your skin and get acne free and supple skin.
  5. Not applying sunscreen: Your job might require you to stay outdoors for long, which exposes your skin to the harmful UV-A and UV-B rays of the sun and dust particles. In such conditions, using sunscreens with SPF (Sun protection factor) 30 or above is a necessity as otherwise, the rays can penetrate into your skin, weaken the collagen cells and lead to pigmentation and tanning in the long run. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.
