Early Childhood Caries Or Nursing Bottle Caries In Children

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Delhi
  • Avoid nursing children to sleep or putting anything other than water in their bed-time bottle.
  • Learn the proper way to brush and floss your child's teeth.
  • Take your child to a pediatric dentist regularly to have his/her teeth and gums checked.
  • Starting at birth, clean your child’s gums with a soft infant toothbrush or cloth and water.
  • The first dental visit should be scheduled by your childs first birthday.

My son is 7 years old. But he eats very less and shows tantrums on forcing him to eat. We're always worried about this. He's also very weak and short as compared to kids of his age. We consulted a child health specialist and the tests show that his intestines are very sensitive which creates problem in digestion. We tried many cures and medicines but all in vain. Please help me out on this.

In my experience small quanity highly calorie dense stuff like kheer, eggs, soya based food even soya milk are good to provide more calories. Market made dew protein rich powders are also available and works for whose happy to have milk but not rest of food. Few hunger stimulators time being can be prescribed and you may rule out a condition known as" gerd. Chornic cause of gastritis.

What a baby eats makes a difference in what winds up in his diaper. The body tends to absorb breast milk more completely -- sometimes there’s so little left that a baby may not poop for days. On the other hand, many breastfed babies pass a mustardy, "seedy" yellow stool with each feeding, at least for a short while. Formula-fed babies tend to have darker, tan-colored stools that happen less often. But remember: Every baby is different, and there is a very wide range of normal when it comes to poop. Tips for Concerned Parents The color and timing of a baby’s poop changes as his diet changes, as his digestive tract matures, and as it gets more new, normal bacteria. It's rare that color changes are signs of a digestive problem. Usually, they just mean that there is more or less of the yellow/green/brown/orange pigments that stool picks up along the way. Let your baby’s doctor know if you see: Poop that stays chalky white. It may mean his liver isn’t making enough bile to digest the food. Poop that is tarry black. There may be blood in his digestive tract that has turned dark as it traveled through the intestines. Bright red blood in his poop. A red stool can also be caused by certain medicines, beets, and food colorings. But the pediatrician can test your baby’s poop to see if it has blood. You don't need to worry about green, orange, and yellow stools. They are par for the course and rarely a sign of a digestive problem.

I have done blood test of my 1.5 year old son. Levels were 136 Ng/ml for Vitamin D and 10 Ng/ml for calcium. After 2 days, in a spot urinary calcium, level was 3.6 We have immediately stopped giving vitamin d sachet to our child. How much risky is this and appropriate actions we should take in this situation. Please respond, your response is really appreciable.

The levels of vit d suggests there is some deficiency and not very very deficient please continue medications .do not stop. Spot urinary calcium not reliable. Blood calcium levels look adequate. Do not worry.

Go on trying to latch her on nipple for some time and then give her expressed milk before she is tired but not with bottle use spoon. Try yourself to pull nipple with your thumb and finger repeatedly if it is still persisting.

Hello, Ensure that the baby is made to eat well before he sleep, babys tend wake up again and again if they are hungry. A warm water spongying or bath will help him to sleep. Reduce sugar or any sweet item from his diet, excess sugar makes babys hyperactive. Lastly, fix up a timetable for his sleep, roz ek hi time pe bache ko sulaya karo, that works.

Pediatrician,
Acute renal failure of non-renal origin when treated successfully will have no further consequences. But in absence of information about primary reason of failure, it's difficult to comment.

Its all a marketing gimmick. They are all equally good, but nothing is better than mothers milk for the baby. You can buy whichever is economical to you.
