Sugar is used as a natural exfoliant for skin. It is one of the best home remedies to get rid of stretch marks. Take a tablespoon of sugar. Add some drops of almond oil and lemon juice in it. Stir it well and apply directly on the stretch marks. Rub it for 8-10 minutes and then, take a shower. Continue to use it for one month or so, until the stretch marks gets fade out.

I have black spots and pimples on my face. What Any solution for removing black spots and pimples?

BHMS

I have black spots and pimples on my face. What Any solution for removing black spots and pimples?
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the over-production of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkercheif with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing facewash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifoium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Decoding Secrets Of Maintaining A Youthful Skin!

Skin is the most delicate thing which people should take complete care of regularly. There are a number of factors which ascertain the speed at which the skin decays. The factors include direct exposure to sun rays, pollution, one’s smoking habits and food habits on a daily basis.

Time plays a very significant role. A person’s skin faces different reactions as per his/her age groups.

Now, we will take at a look at exactly how people under different age groups should take care of their skin to maintain the youthful look

Process of skin care for people in their 20s:-

At this stage, the renewal of cells is quick and steady up to 30 percent. The dead skin cells hardly get shed and that’s the reason why skin gives out a somewhat dull look.

What can be done to prevent it?

Dermatologists suggest certain ways, following which people can have the necessary benefits that would be visible on their skin. Suggestions include:

  • Drinking 8-10 litres of water everyday so as to keep the skin stay hydrated naturally
  • To be careful about their food habits. Inappropriate and junk foods can lead to aging of skin in a premature manner. So, diet should include fresh vegetables, fruits, yoghurt and other supplements that add nutritiont
  • Use a moisturizer with SPF 15 daily.

Process of skin care for people in Their 30s:-

In this phase, the renewal of skin cell occurs in a sluggish manner. The dermis gets affected quite severely due to the damage caused by pollution and sunlight.

What can be done to prevent it?

  • Have a balanced diet that is rich in antioxidants, like Vitamins A, B, C and E. These will help in preventing free radicals in the environment.
  • A soothing face cream which has a rich content of Vitamin E and Aloe Vera, can be used for nourishment.
  • A night cream packed with vitamins can be applied upon.

Process of skin care for people in their 50s and above:-

This is the phase where people tend to notice brownish age spots on the skin.

What can be done to prevent it?

  • A safe and a mild kind of a toner can be used.
  • One can even use a good moisturizer having SPF and should look to avoid direct sun rays from hitting the skin.
  • A good night cream having anti-wrinkle properties can be applied.
  • Along with all these, a good healthy diet comprising of fresh fruits and vegetables is a must.
  • A lot of water intake is also necessary.

How To Deal With Boils

How To Deal With Boils

A boil or a skin abscess is a type of bacterial skin infection that leads to formation of a pus-filled red bump on the skin. It usually starts in an oil gland or a hair follicle on the face, the armpits, the neck or the shoulders. If a cluster of boils appears, it is called a carbuncle and this is a more severe infection than a boil. However, most boils are caused by minor infection and can be healed with simple treatment at home. Listed below are the various ways to deal with a boil:

  1. Boils are not entirely preventable but normal daily hygiene can reduce the frequency of the occurrence of boils.
  2. When you notice a boil formation, you should apply a hot compress on it. The heat helps to prevent the formation of too much pus by helping it drain faster. When the blood circulation to the area is improved by the heat, the antibodies help to draw out the germs.
  3. The boil usually drains on its own. You may try draining it yourself but only when it is soft. Poking a hard boil can be extremely painful; it may bleed and make the infection worse. It is usually best to let it drain by itself.
  4. When the boil starts draining, you can clean the infected area with an antibacterial soap daily till the boil is drained and flattened. You may clean it with some rubbing alcohol in order to prevent the germs in the pus from spreading to other areas of the body.
  5. The infected area can be kept covered with sterile gauze coated with antibiotic ointment.
  6. Penicillin-based antibiotics can be used to treat the boil but only if it is a severe infection.
  7. 7. If the boil is excessively painful, you can use pain relievers such as ibuprofen or paracetamol.
  8. Avoid sitting in one particular position for too long because this increases the pain.
  9. It is important to wash your hands every time you touch the draining boil because the bacteria is extremely contagious and can spread to other areas of your skin as well as to other people.
  10. All the articles which have been used to treat the boils like the gauze, cloth, cotton and hot compress should either be discarded or disinfected to avoid spreading of the infection.
