My mom is allergic to dust, she often gets I'll when she is prone to dust while cleaning and also has asthma at starting stage, she gets suffocated when there is cloudy weather with aches in her back, also she looses her energy often in whether change. Pl guide.

1. Dust allergy could be because of so many agents (it could be due to pollen, mite, feathers, dander, mold, droppings of birds, pet hair/feather/fur cockroach etc) 2. I advise you to do an allergy test after consulting an allergy specialist/immunologist to find out the agent which is causing dust allergy. 3. Follow the advice and treatment given by allergy specialist/immunologist. Treatment 1. Anti histamine like levo cetrizine 1 tablet at bed time 2. Decongestant steroidal nasal dropspray like rhino cort nasal spray one spray to each nostril three times daily, 3. Remove wall to wall carpet in bed room, 4. Keep pets out of bed room/house 5. Minimise house hold humidity 6. Keep home clean, ensure good ventilation, vacum cleaning of carpet, furniture, drapperies, wash bed linen frequently in hot water, instal a/c, 7. Use face mask when going out 8. Consult allergist for further advice.

I am suffering from back pain. I am also suffering from knee joint pain. Ankles of my both feet are also paining too much. Is there any possibility that these are the symptoms of authorites or these are signs of some other serious ailments? if so then please advise me some medicine for this so that I can get rid of this painful problem. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain.

Don't do any pressure on affected area for 1more week. After that starts some exercises after consulting physiotherapist doctor.

.Take crocin 500mg one tablet sos after food, apply volini gel twice daily, give local hot fomentation. If you have recurrent attack of neck pain, take X ray cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist . Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest .

Hello lybrate-user, to achieve weightloss - think long term. Weight loss achieved over short term, always comes back. There is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. Try this general approach (see below) for 4 weeks. If this works then continue. If this is not enough then revert for further assessment and customised approach. With customised lifestyle modification approaches, people over 100-150 kg are also losing weight for long term. 1. Do not eat anything sugary or sweet. Zero sweetness in diet. 2. Eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner along with other foods. 3. Do not drink any liquid calorie like cola or fruit juices. 4. Go for brisk walks or jogging for 45 minutes every day.

Dear lybrate-user, kindly get same examined as it might be postural lbp or pivd. Kindly improve your sitting posture. Avoid slouching or sitting without back support for long duration. Avoid long hours of continuos sitting. Take break after every 1 hour & move around. Take proper diet/milk & do 10 minutes of back strengthening ex's.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmfl. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.

I am Suffering from dizziness from last 1 month, there were variety of problems occurring in this one month, and all were not standard varying. Dear you can follow these methods for relief from backache (back pain): * first correct your sitting posture. Do not bend your lower back. You can use lumber belt for support. * do regular back strength exercises. Move your clockwise and anticlock wise. * do not sleep on very soft bed, sleep on slight hard cotton mattress. * do tadasana and bhjangasana for back strengthening. If you can not understand these asans you can consult me. Surya namaskar is also best asan in back pain. * take calcium rich diet and calcium and vitamin d supplements regularly. *do not take any heavy weight or heavy work. * if you are over weight then follow a good and effective diet plan to loose some kilos of weight. You can consult me to get a diet chart.

Keep Top of Computer Screen at level of eyes. Avoid working in long stretches. Take a break every 45 mins or less. Start neck exercises to strengthen your neck muscles. Get adequate sleep and plenty of water. Consult a pain physician if pain persists.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

I'm 57yrs old suffering from knee pain from past 1 months occurs during walking and climbing staircase.No problem while sitting or just standing. I got operated thigh bone due to fracture because of which couldn't walk properly from past 4 months. I vistied doctors in my place. They suggested for x-ray and then doctor advised due to not walking much. The knee bone has been degenerated. Only solution is to walk more. I am doing so but no improvement. Dear you can aproach physiotherapist. He will help you in relieving pain and teach you knee strengthening exercises. You should also change your life style like avoid knee bending more the 90*, avoid squatting, sitting down, use western style for toilets. Avoid stair climbing. Check your calcium level and body weight. Take care.
