Oatmeals are for reduction of body fat but not at the cost of lactation or child feed. You must take healthy and balanced diet.

Hi, Fever severity, duration and any associated symptoms are the main factors to consider. Better always maintain a temperature chart with you whenever your child gets fever. Use any digital thermometer to record the body temperature which is easily available everywhere. During fever spikes, record the temperature for every 4 hrs. If you child's temperature measured in armpit shows 99 deg F or more, then consult nearby child specialist.

My daughter is 13 years old, she is using Nivea Cream but want to use sunscreen now, she is playing basket ball also. Please answer the best sunscreen for her sensitive skin for daily use.

Diploma in Child Health (DCH), MBBS

There are many sunscreen lotions in the market with different spf values. Guidelines to choose a good sunscreen: spf:(sun protection factor).-the higher the spf the better it is for sun protection. -try and get a waterproof sunscreen as she will be sweating while playing. -remember that due to sweating, one has to reapply the sunscreen every 45 minutes.

Nusobee is good. But my advice is to stop bottle feeding and give only breast milk. But if you still give the formula avoid bottle and feed with spoon.

You have not specified the feeding details and urine output. His weight has doubled in four months and it okay. If stools continue to solid and hard with passed with pain each time it may be due to inadequate fluid intake on mixed feeds or formula feeds. Please get correct feeding advice. If on formula, the dilution should be as per directions. If the problem persists or becomes severe, please get paediatric surgical opinion to rule some ano rectal abnormalities. If everything is normal, adding fresh juices 50 to 60 ml in between feeds would be helpful apart from keeping cool during summer months along with appropriate feeding practices.
