Hello sir, I have been suffering from gingivitis three days, please give suggestions.

Hello sir, I have been suffering from gingivitis three days, please give suggestions.
Hi lybrate-user, Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

My brother is 13 years old he has a problem of pigmentation in his teeth and he also went through root canal can you suggest me any toothpaste which whitens his teeth

MDS Prosthodontics, BDS
Dentist, Chandigarh
Pigmentation can be internal or extetnal. Extetnal pigmentation can be treated by dental scaling and polishing. But for internwl pigmentation ie discolouration from childhood cannot be removed by scaling for that other treatment plan is to be done. You may consult me for same.

Hello I have undergone root canal of my tooth. It has been 2 months but still it has sensitivity; Though not always but often when I brush my teeth or while having soup etc. What should be the cause & the solution. Thanks.

Certified Implantologist, BDS

Hi..There are only two reason.. 1..The live near be tissue could be left over in canal causing the problem 2..It could be sensitivity due to adjacent tooth , A carefull examination would definitely revel the problem...

Hello lybrate-user, your case appears to be that of a failed root canal treatment (rct). Ideally, in an rct-treated tooth, there is no vital tissue or nerve that can cause pain. However, in your case, it seems as if the procedure was not done properly. Taking pain killers will only provide transient relief. Most likely, you will be required to undergo a re-rct to get permanent riddance from this problem. Before initiating the re-rct, however, you will be required to take a 3-day course of medication.

My teeth are not in regular place, how much does it cost to fix that with transparent clips?

My teeth are not in regular place, how much does it cost to fix that with transparent clips?
Costs vary from 25 to 80000 depending on the doctor and area. These treatments are done once in lifetime, hence always go to a good doctor, rather than thinking about money.

I am 49 years old. I am suffering from toothache in a right upper gum tooth. This tooth has been eroded badly since long. What should I do, whether the tooth needs to be pulled out or to be filled up by some method. Please advise.

Have an x-ray to that tooth if there may be bone loss around the tooth it must be better get it pulled out n if no sign of bone loss or pus formation below the tooth u can undergo rct followed by capping.

This condition is known as dysgeusia. A disorder of the taste buds. The reasons for this are many and they are not long lasting if you treat it in time. It can be because of gum problems. Periodontal problems. Dry mouth. Dental abscess. Vitamin deficiency. Consult your dentist.
