Both UTI and kidney stone can cause pain on flank. However UTI is usually associated with burning sensation in urine and is more common in females. I would suggest you to get an Ultrasound KUB done and a Urine routine/microscopy done that will help us to make conclusive diagnosis. For now you can take Tab. Drotin A twice a day for pain And Syp. Alkasol 2 tsf twice a day (in a glass of water)

I am suffering from frequent urination with constant urge to urinate. Took random blood sugar test and urine analysis both came normal. I drink 2 ltr water daily but urge to pee constantly peeps in 20 min after emptying the bladder. Some doc says it might be overactive bladder. My age is 23. Healthy and energetic but still that urge never goes. Looking for a permanent cure. Homeopathy can help me.

Hello lybrate-user Good to know blood sugar n urine test normal As it rules out diabetes and urine infection. Homeopathic treatment can help you yes but I need a detailed case analysis to find out how far we can help. Another aspect is anxiety which I need to investigate. Often anxiety causes a constant urge to urinate. I suggest you to please contact me on private chat for further discussion and treatment.

My wife age 25 years feels frequent urine & it feels like that urine can not be controlled.

Dear , she may have infection in urine so get it tested. If pus cells are more than five then she will have to take antibiotic like ofloxacin 2oo mg twice a day 1 hour before meals for 15 day and for immediate relief she can take urispas or flavospas three times a day 3-5 days. If she does not have infection then make sure she does not have constipation, then she should have sonography done with full bladder volume, bladder wall thickness on full bladder and post-void residual urine volume and then let me the results.

Avoid hard water to drink, drink sufficient boiled water or purified water only. Avoid fruits containing small seeds like tomato, guava, vegetables like brinjal, Duration to cure kidney stone is depends upon size, number of stone, position (kidney?, urethra?) I have stones in kidney. please tell me what can be done to get relief from this pain as well as from stones too.

I have stones in kidney. please tell me what can be done to get relief from this pain as well as from stones too.
According to Ayurveda, improper diet and lifestyle leads to aggravation of all three doshas (Ayurvedic humors) and impairment of the digestive fire, causing formation of toxins (ama) in the body. These toxins travel down the channels carrying urine, where aggravated doshas combine with it, causing its crystallization and leading to the formation of kidney stones. Tips for removing kidney stones:: 1. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. 2. Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. 3. Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day. For severe pain u shuld take allopathic medicines. Pls send ur USG report coz herbal medicines for removing stones can be given according to size and number and location of stones.

Sticky stools or steatorrhoea is found in disorders with poor fat metabolism or fat absorption, some specific kinds of sprue or gut infections, 4 mm kidney stones is a manageable entity ,location of stone is more important as with urgency of treatment. Get stool test done asap, culture too, with LFT/ser iron studies /tsh t3 t4, meet a doctor for that.
