Hi looks like you have tendonitis. 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. It could be low stamina, kindly exercise daily for at least 30 minutes, get your haemoglobin checked and revert.

While playing football I landed badly on my left knee and the mri reports said: 1. Tear in posterior horn of lateral meniscus 2. Mild joint effusions 3. Partial tear in anterior cruciate ligament and translation of tibia over femur 4. Marrow oedema in tibia and femur Can you please provide me with the possible treatment options for this? Can it heal up naturally? Please provide me with treatment options!

Knee advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

With sever swelling Nd pain you need to go for an X ray, till then don't move the knee, do not take weight and apply ice packs for 15 min with intervals of 2 hrs, this will help in reducing swelling and pain till some extend.

How to remove back pain?
Have hot and cold water fomentation thrice a day for 12 days of 15 minutes duration each followed by spinal extension exercise from neuro physiotherapist best wishes.

I am suffering from lower back pain from two years. Now pain only occurs when I do some heavy work for long time. But from few days there is pain in my back thighs. Is it because of back pain or something else and if ihe reason is back pain then what should I do. Back pain started while playing cricket a year ago.

1. You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2. You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3. Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4. Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5. Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6. Take light dinner. 7. Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time. 8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10. Don’t sleep in day time 11. Don’t take sleeping pill 12. If no relief consult doctor.

Ankle pain & swelling can be due to many causes. It must be investigated. X ray ankle ap& lateral views Blood & urine examination should also be done. Do not ignore it. It could be a beginning of serious problem.

I have a pain in my Rt Upper arm, not in shoulder, for over 4 months now. Shown to Orthopaedic, I am told it is common now and goes away over time. Warm fomentation was advised. The pain was not continuous till about 2 weeks back but now it is constant. Any stretch is painful. Otherwise, the shoulder has free movement.

Nerves don't usually swell but when they do then you should be worried. It can be infective or be fibrosed due to chronic irritation. You should go for a thorough check-up. What I feel you have are swollen veins that are indicative of varicose veins and might cause pain. Deep vein thrombosis are painful and cause swollen veins. Whatever the cause is you should visit a general physician or a surgeon asap. Take care.

Muscle Cramps - How to Treat them Effectively through Ayurveda

In Ayuveda, muscle cramp is known as “khalli vaata”. Vyaana vaata it is a biological force that is responsible for regulating the functioning of your voluntary muscles. In case of a muscle cramp, the vyaana vaata gets impaired. Metabolic wastes are harmful toxins that tend to get accumulated in your system if not flushed out of your body and deposited between your muscle tissues and nerve-endings. This toxic waste is known as “aama” in Ayurveda, and it is known be a prominent cause of cramps. Besides aama, vata dosha is also responsible for muscles cramps.

Ayurveda provides a number of remedies to treat the problem of muscle cramps. The following are some of the most effective remedies to relief the discomfort of muscle cramps:
1. Drink warm milk to get instant relief from abdominal cramps. The alkaline properties of milk help to pacify the acidic condition in stomach that results in cramps. It is also a rich source of calcium which is known to aid in the relaxation of troubled muscles.
2. Physical activity including stretching exercise is effective in reducing the acute pain of leg cramps.
3. Garlic compound which is also called as 'Lagsunadivati' is helpful in relaxing muscles and it is also known to calm the “vata dosha” that aids in relieving muscle cramps.
4. Do warm up exercises and stretching exercises to lessen the risk of developing a muscle cramp during your workout session
5. Increase the intake of foods that are rich in minerals, calcium, potassium and magnesium as it is known to reduce the chances of muscle cramps.
6. Massage the painful region with 'prasarini taila' or 'mahanarayana taila' to relax the strained muscle.
7. Apply ice pack on the strained muscle to reduce the swelling and pain of the muscle.
8. Sinhanaada guggulu is well known to provide instant relief from muscle cramp. It has medicinal properties which have a mild laxative effect. It eases the problem of abdominal cramps and lessens the discomfort associated with it.
9. In case of extreme pain, 'Lakshmivilaas rasa', “Prataapa lankeswara rasa”, are among the most effective Ayurvedic medications which are known to provide relief in case of chronic muscle cramps.

Hi I have facing couple of different symptoms elaborate below. Can any 1 suggest me how to cure & what exact this.

1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed.

Dear lybrate user, I am surprised that why you did not take the treatment at the time of fracture. You may apply at present arnica q ruta q mixed in equal qty. Thrice a day. Also take ruta 10 m five drops on your tounge direct thrice a day only. One dz. Of arnica 30 five drops in the morning you should take with water for three day.

Requires detailed investigation and examination Presently investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Anyway you may try sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.
