No, no chance of pregnancy, this bleeding is due to side effect of I pill. You should not use I pill frequently it may cause severe hormonal imbalance in your body. In long term. So try to use other precautions.

I am 25 year old male from india ,had a condom protected oral sex with a female sex worker .she looked ok did not have any visible lesions or sores on skin or on lips .she put condom on my penis and rolled back till the base ,held the base from her grip and performed oral on me for about 3-4 min after that she removed it easily and we did not indulge in any other for of sex ,the condom remained intact and ok as far a I remember also I did not have any cut or open wound on my penis neither did I have any std bcoz that was my first and last time I did it so far. After this act roughly in the midst of seventh month I had sore throat after eating junk food outside one day followed by high fewer all of this lasted for a day or two I do not remember having any diarrhea. Now 20 days ago I noticed 3-4 white lesions under my tongue got them checked by physician who prescribed me bifilac which took for two days also I was having constipation for past 3-4 days before going to doctor then I felt some problem the third day with my throat so I visited a ent who prescribed me becelac fort after which I had two small rashes on four day I continue taking the same medicine for a week the rashes grew a little and turned dark brown and purplish and started to fade away eventually soon after I stopped taking it meanwhile I went to another ent he did endoscopy of my throat and told me my throat was fine and that he did not see any palpable LAP only a slight effect of tonsils I took the medicine but did not continue after one day and went back to my physician coz I was more worried about the rash on my elbow he prescribed me bifilac and b -complex again even my mouth ulcers had not gone completely so he gave one ointment to apply also soon after starting to tak bifilac I has a itchy rash on abdomen next day the redness around it shrinked a lil ans a white head bump in the center next 2 days I had two more rashes in similar fashion each on one day gap one on my rib area and another one on my thigh .today I noticed multiple tiny bumps with white center raise suddenly on my rib area near shoulder and neck after a pinch feeling got terrified but soon they started settling down in 2-3 hours .i also have a history of nasal allergies severe sneezing had sneezing problem thrice for 1-2 days ech time in last twenty days following cold due to sitting under ac also had my cbc blood work done twice in same twenty days both seem normal to my physician also tlc count did drop between the two from 11000 to 4900 but remained in reference range doc says report is normal he also asked me for a gi endoscopy .constipation still there though not severe. I did not tell any of the docs about the sexual act .been also to a skin and vd doc she examined and said the skin issues are possible drug reaction I did tell her about my encounter with CSW .been under lot of stress and anxiety for last 20 days do not know what to do really scared .i had protected oral , am I at any possible hiv or any other sti risk .do I need to worry about taking a test or am I worrying for no reason and I should just move on .i would appreciate expert notions from related doctors.

General Physician,
Hello Mr. Lybrate-user. Read your complete history. First thing I need to say stop panicking as the act was performed on a condom. There is less chance of transmission through saliva unless you have visible compromise of the skin in genital area. The oral complications you have mentioned were thoroughly examined by ent specialist and diagnosed clearly that it's a vitamin deficiency. The decline in platelets is almost negligible and your tc is in normal limits. While coming to the rash, many of the drugs got skin rash as side effect and same was confirmed by a dermatologist. So stop panicking. Too much stress is the reason for your constipation. I have been treating 8000 hiv patient in a month and one thing I need to stress is hiv has become a chronic manageable disease now. With proper medication the life expectancy is same as hiv negative person. If you still need further further assistance. Please contact.

If you are on dmards for your arthritis it will be difficult for you to conceive. Ratheryou should not go for pregnancy. Once your disease is in remission and you go without pills for your rheumatoid arthritis then visit your gynecologist. Unfortunately it is a very difficult situation that you are in. Best of luck.

Do I need to bring parents at the time abortion? I am pregnant but I don't want it now.

For emotional support you may. Think again before abortion as its a life inside you. Ask similar question to yourself had your parents did it to you. A family is most important than career, money, looks or anything in life.

How The 7 Chakras Influence Our Endocrinal System.

No matter how life started in our universe, ancient knowledge and modern quantum biology agree on this essential principle: matter does not generate mind or consciousness but quite the other way around. Consciousness manifests the physical form or matter. Life is a very personal experience to each one of us. Yet we all share its fundamental building blocks: our core energy centers, called chakras in Sanskrit. The word chakra means wheel or vortex. They are the junction points between matter and the mind, between our body and our consciousness.

They are seven main chakras, intersections of vital forces, swirling, expanding and contracting, as a column of 3D spheres of energy extending, in the middle of our body, from the base of our spine to the crown of our head. Chakras are the master programs running our emotional and physical lives, each one of them expressing different characteristics essentials to our growth and well being. Unsurprisingly the seven chakras interact with our body through the endocrine system (a seven gland system) which is one of the body’s main control mechanisms

. The following description provides more detail about the chakras, their location, the related glands and the characteristics they govern.

Crown chakra (Sahasrara, color violet): top of the head, pineal gland, spirituality and divine awareness.

Third eye chakra (Ajna, color indigo): between eyebrows, pituitary gland, intuition.

Throat chakra (Vishuddhi, color blue): throat area, thyroid, communication and self-expression.

Heart chakra (Anahata, color green): heart area, thymus, compassion, love, and healing.

Solar plexus chakra (Manipura, color yellow): navel area, pancreas, self will, self esteem, courage, and personal power.

Sacral chakra (Swadhisthana, color orange): genital area, ovaries, creativity, emotion and sensuality.

Root chakra (Muladhara, color red): base of the spine, gonads, safety and survival, sense of belonging.

When the flow of the subtle energy in one or more of the chakras becomes blocked, it affects our endocrine system, which produces the hormones that stimulate or inhibit physiological processes. And we may develop physical and mental illnesses. So when we look at it this way, we realize that a change in our consciousness does affect our physical body.

Biostress Imagery can attune, unblock and balance your chakras, providing emotional, physical and spiritual healing which ultimately leads to a stress-free total health.

Right ovary is increased in size. This increase could be due to number of diseases. I advise you to do laparoscopic test to find out the cause for increase in size.

Hi, my wife stopped breast feeding our daughter who is 16 months of old now. After 2 days she feels pain in her breast. Also seems like due to production of milk, it is getting harder. Is this a usual symptom? how long this continues? how to get rid of severe pain?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
It is due to collection of milk let her continue to feed the baby. What waas the reason to stop? pain can be relieved by applying local heat and pressing out milk. It more useful and practical to continue feeding. At this age bay needs semi solid home foods also in addition to milk" breast milk is the best milk for baby"

Contraception - Myths and Misconceptions

MBBS (Gold Medalist, Hons), MS (Obst and Gynae- Gold Medalist), DNB (Obst and Gynae), Fellow- Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (ACOG, USA), FIAOG
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
Today 26th september is the world contraceptive day. Sex is a basic human right. But to have sex safely and without fear of unwanted pregnancy should be the priority. Many women across the world die everyday as a result of unwanted pregnancy, mostly due to unsafe abortion.

So, couples can avoid pregnancy and enjoy sex life fully, only if they can follow safe and effective contraceptive advice. Let me clarify some popular myths and misconceptions abut contraception.

1. one contraception is useful for all

While the ideal contraceptive is necessary but it does not exist. So, what may seem suitable for a couple may not be useful for another couple. We need to assess various points like number of children they have, wish to have further children and plan to have children, general health of wife and husband (and any diseases they suffer from), frequency of intercourse, chance of infection, age of the partners etc.

2. Regarding barrier methods
Most popular barrier method is male condom. But the myths are that" condoms reduce sexual pleasure" and" condoms get easily damaged leading to failure.

Condoms are specially useful for those who are at risk of infections, who do not have very frequent intercourse and who are not suitable for other methods. Condoms do not decrease sexual pleasure, some of the condoms have medicated products which can increase the duration of intercourse and also act as lubricant to facilitate intimacy.

But men should know how to use it properly. It should be worn in erect penis expelling all the air and projecting the tip beyond the tip of penis. While withdrawing penis after intercourse, the condom should be held at the base of the penis. Actually failure/ rupture of condoms occur because of mishandling of condom or not knowing proper use of it. So, before use, please make sure that you know its correct use.

Definitely some men can feel latex allergy and they have to use non-latex condom, which are widely available.

There are barrier methods for females also- like female condom, diaphragm and cervical cap etc. But they are not very ease to use and are not so popular.

3. Oral contraceptive pills (ocp)

Myths-" ocp causes increase in weight" ocp causes cancers.

Facts- ocp seldom causes gain in weight. The gain in weight is coincidental, that means you have some other reason of gaining weight- like not having exercise, ignoring diet control and some other diseases.

Ocp rather reduces risk of cancer- especially ovarian cancer (which is very difficult to diagnose and very lethal), cancer of colon, cancer of endometrium (inner lining of uterus). Of course, there is little risk of breast cancer, but the risk is not very high, it can be easily detected by examination by doctor. So, if you take ocp, get rid of all the fears. Just try to have self- breast examination every month.

4. Intrauterine contraceptive devices (iucd)-

Most popular is copper t. Medicated iucds are also available, that contains hormonal drugs.

Copper t does not increase risk of infection, a common misconception lies among woman.

5. Emergency contraceptive pills (i pill etc).

Often couple uses these pills regularly after intercourse. Remember these pills contain very high content of hormonal drugs, which can lead to serious side effects like hormonal imbalance, irregularities in periods (and thus can prevent you from getting pregnant in future, even when you want pregnancy), ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside tubes that are life-threatening) etc. So, use regular contraception if you want to prevent pregnancy. I pill is not meant to be taken for every time of sex.

6. Ligation-

Ligation of male (vasectomy) and female (tubectomy) is done as permanent contraception for couples having more than 2 children. Ligation in male does not disturb sexual activity. It is easier than female ligation. Again, female ligation is also a very safe technique.

So, please remove all misconceptions and myths about contraception. Have safe sex, enjoy life.

Hello, Heparin and immunoglobulin injection are fine. Since you had 2 IUDs, you have to be carefully monitored and looked after in this pregnancy. For now, take the treatment as advised and the injection might be reduced in future if everything goes well.

Actually it depends. Now a days as girls are into more sports activities during school and college times, rupture of hymen during physical exercise is normal. So absence of bleeding in a virgin lady during first time sex is a common thing.

Is there doing sex during earlier month of pregnancy is safe? And during 9 mth pregnancy.

DNB, DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Ghaziabad
Is there doing sex during earlier month of pregnancy is safe? And during 9 mth pregnancy.
Sex during pregnancy is quite safe provided you do not have any complications like pain abdomen, bleeding, low lying placenta, previous pregnancy mishaps etc. It is generally avoided in first 3 months as they are quite crucial for pregnancy. Other than that, if your obstetrician allows and both partners are comfortable, you can continue to have sex during pregnancy.
