Take help of friends and family in encouraging you to quit. think daily why you want to quit or benifit of quiting. Fix small targets and on achieving those rewrda your self. can take nicotine replacement gums to reduce nicotine withdrawal symtoms. can join a quit smoking programme.

The Correct Office Posture!

If you are primarily desk-bound in your work, correct posture and alignment is essential to prevent work related pain and injuries. Most of us get a little lazy with our posture at some point. You can expect some serious health problems, aches and pains, if you adopt a poor sitting position for long periods of time, day in and day out.

Poor sitting posture can lead to:

  1. Headaches 
  2. Lower back pain 
  3. Neck pain and stiffness 
  4. Interscapular and thoracic pain and stiffness 
  5. Shoulder pain and muscular tension 
  6. Wrist, forearm and elbow pain 
  7. Lumbar disc bulging and irritation

Most people don't even know that they have a problematic posture. Those who admit to having a poor posture often don’t know what to do about it. Hence education is crucial. Correct desk and computer setup is simple and effective way to avoid these potentially disabling problems.

One other point is that many people who know that they have a poor posture (and know what to do) get lazy. It's easy to slouch or get caught up in work, sitting for hours on end. There people may even set regular reminders to stand up and stretch, but simply snooze the alarms and continue working. Just remember, it is easier to keep bigger problems away than to rid yourself of them later. Stand up regularly, make a cup of tea, take a short stroll and stretch.

A good sitting posture:

  1. Chair height should be so that your upper legs are parallel to floor (or knees slightly lower than your hips). 
  2. Both feet should be flat on the floor. 
  3. Push your hips into the back of the chair. 
  4. Ensure your chair supports your upper and lower back (use support cushions if required). 
  5. Relax your forearms on the table to keep weight off your shoulders. Use armrests on your chair if required. 
  6. Pull up close to your keyboard, placing it directly in front of you. Adjust your keyboard tilt to achieve a straight wrist position. 
  7. Your screen should be directly in front of you. 
  8. The top of your screen should be little above your seated eye level, at least an arm's length away. Use a monitor stand if required. 
  9. If text is too small at this distance, use your computer's settings to increase display resolution or magnification (as opposed to moving the screen close to your face). 
  10. Screen (and your desk) should be positioned to reduce glare from windows and other ligh sources. Use curtains or blinds if required. 
  11. Keep your telephone within easy reach. Use a headset if you are regularly on the phone. 
  12. Take 1-2 minute short breaks away from your desk every 30 minutes to stretch. Take longer breaks or change tasks every hour. Get away from your computer during lunch break. 
  13. Give your eyes a rest. Look away in the distance during your short breaks.

It depends where the stone is. If its in a kidney then your pain is not related to the stone but if its in the ureter then it could be .if its a ureteric stone it can be managed medically or endoscopically.

There are methods by which you can gain some height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. * firststand bare foot on flat surface, now move your heels upwards and raise your arms up. Start walk on the front part of feet with heels upwards. Walkatleast 8-10 steps. Repeat this exercise for 2-3 times in a day. 2. Take 300 ml of rich cream milk, 200 gm of cheese and 2-3 eggs regularly. It will definitely give boost to your bone growth. 3. Sit in sun rays for atleast 8-10 minutes in morning of evenings when the sun rays are not so strong. It will help you by getting adequate quantity of vitamin-d. 4. The growth and height iscontrolled by growth hormone whichis secreted by pituitary gland situated in the brain. So take meditation and have a stressfree lifestyle. Take 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Meditation makes your pituitatry gland healthy and working properly. 5. You can also adopt the surgical techniques which helps you gaining desired height.

Dear lybrate-user: the ideal weight range for your height is 58-70 kg. However, given your age of 24 years, you should be around 60 kg ideally. You should aim at increasing your weight through proper diet rich in multiple sources of protein, complex carbs, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. You should consult a health coach/nutritionist for getting a proper advise on how to increase your weight in the right way. The weight increasing supplements that are usually marketed on tv and media have lot of carbs and sugars, which increase your weight by the way of increasing your fat percentage, which is not the right thing to do. Hello. We can't make the grey hair turn black, but of course, prevent further greying! The causes of premature greying of hair are several. Here we have listed out a few common causes. Heredity is a major reason for hair greying Excessive use of tobacco and smoking Chronic emotional stress or psychological worries Lack of nutrients such as vitamins, iron, copper and iodine in the diet Medical conditions such as anemia, hypothyroidism, tuberous sclerosis or neurofibromatosis Home Remedies: 1. Add the curry leaves to the oil and boil it for 6 to 8 minutes, or till the leaves turn black. Remove from flame and let it cool. Strain the oil in a container and massage your scalp and hair with this oil 3 to 4 times per week before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 2. Turn the fenugreek seeds to a smooth powder and keep aside. Heat the oil and add the amla pieces to it, let it boil for 5 to 6 minutes, add the fenugreek powder to the oil, let it boil for another minute and remove from flame. Let it cool and strain the oil, apply on scalp and hair before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 3. Mix onion and lemon juice in a glass bowl and apply on scalp and hair evenly. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash off with a mild herbal shampoo. Repeat it 4 to 5 times a week for 2 weeks. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Lycopodium 200/ once daily, Acid Phos. 200/ once daily and Weisbaden 200/ twice daily – all of them for 1 month. And a multivitamin - A to Z/ 1 cap. daily once for 1 month (as deficiency of zinc, copper and selenium can also cause premature greying). Use Schwabe's Arnica Shampoo and Hair Growth Oil. Revert me back.

Hello lybrate-user, for healthy weight gain you need to make some changes in your daily diet routine. They are as follows: 1) eat more than three meals a day. 2) don't wait until your stomach starts to growl to eat. 3) eat plenty of calories at every meal. You can add peanut butter, nuts, cheese in your meals. 4) you can have banana or milkshakes in between your meals to maintain the calorie need. 5) avoid eating lots of junk food. It can wreck your metabolism. 6) drink plenty of water. 7) have sound sleep.

Hi, you should go for brisk walk in the morning and evening. Do regular exercise atleast 15 to 20 minutes daily. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night. Avoid junk food and oily food. Take small and frequent meals.

Once your tooth measurements r taken it may take about 2 days for pfm crowns n a day more for metal free ceramic crowns. It also depends on the dental lab your dentist is linked to.

Hello, Using henna for colouring your hair, no doubt, is the best option! You can use it, but try to find a genuine one as there are many herbal hennas are available in the market which contains colour or dye in it! So, be careful!
