Dear Doctor, My father had fever last month and as post fever effects he reported too much of joint pains in fingers and legs. And today I noticed that one of his foot has swelling. I have no clue what to do. Should I meet a orthopedist or general physician? In his recent blood report all the platelets are in normal range. Any suggestion would help, Thanks.

Your father must have had Viral fever. It is important to rule out Dengu fever by proper blood investigations. These will give rise to body and joint pains and aches. Pain killers like Paracetamol 650 if required can be taken. You may consult a General Physician.

You are having vit. D3 deficiency as well. Take vit. D3 60, 000unit tabs. 1 tab. Odx12tabs gem cal ds I tab odx15 then repeat vitd3 test. Why not discuss with me on video conference (facility provided by lybrate.)

Hello, you had paraspinal muscle spasm becoz of lifting heavy weight, would suggest to take muscle relaxant, rest and later physiotherapy back strengthing and stretching exercises.

Simple Knee ExerciesSpecific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Knee pain more than 2 weeks:if your knee is paining since 2 weeks, then you have to rethink whether you had any injury in the previous years. As arthritis is very common if anyone would've neglected any injury in the previous years. This is a question on behalf of my mother, she's aged 51yrs by next December. She's suffering from severe knee and back pains. She's taking a tablet named dolo kind plus to get some relief and when we check online, it's a powerful painkiller. As per the online BMI calculators, her BMI is 30.1 indicating obesity. Is there a doctor who can help her out of this situation? Is it possible? She prefers homeopathic medicines than others. Please help.

If she has severe arthritis in her knee please consult replacement surgeon with her both knee x ray. If she will free from her knee pain and improved walking then her back problems also gone and she feel happy if needed please do consultation with me audio or video video better I can see your mo. Hi, any other complain or symptom do you have? as the information shared by you is insufficient and it needs to be probe into. Get yourself examined thoroughly by a nearby doctor to come to any conclusion! medication: if the pain is due to gastric reason, take natrum phos. 6x/ 3 times a day daily for 2 days, give your feedback there after.
