I am 25 years old. Since december 2014 I am suffering from back shoulder pain. This pain is moving up and down from my left shoulder to neck, head and chest on left side and this is continous. I have consulted two orthopedic surgeons they tell me this is muscle pain. I take medicines from them and doing exercise consulted by them but not getting relief even 1%. Please suggest me where to go for now for a neurologist or again for orthopedic or any other doctor. Please help me get me out of this pain because this is now becoming unbearable. .

You are very young and actually should not be having persistent pains in your shoulder and other regions. Since you have already consulted two doctors, can you please attach their prescriptions, your relevant investigations and what treatment have you received thus far? it will be better as I can understand and maybe exclude certain issues by seeing your papers and then advise you accordingly. Hi lybrate-user, This is due to the dryness in bone tissues. Please start massaging your body with sesame oil mixed with almond oil. Also do NABHI Massage, Because NABHI is connected to all 72000 naadis, And which ever naadi is going dry, It will lubricate that and hence lubricate connected tissue.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

Dear lybrate user, * you may not be hydrating enough. Try hydrating before bed. Drink something with electrolytes in it. Keep a bottle of water by your bed. * pain could also be because of poor blood circulation - you should start walking or swimming a few times a week to improve circulation. * before you go to bed, and when you wake up stretch your body. * check your thyroid levels. * deficiency of vitamin b12 also causes body ache often. Try out the above ones and you will definitely feel good! regards!

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight (even while sitting or standing), avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Always select a chair with proper back support and hand-rest. (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Apart from these, stress could be the major cause of pains! Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. (The mind and body are deeply connected. If the mind is occupied by thoughts and worries then the shavasana will be unsuccessful. Therefore one has to acquire the stability of the mind along with the stability of the body.) Management: -Sit straight with a back-rest or back-support. -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

It might be of cervical spine of shoulder muscle strain do consult neuro physiotherapist and have ift and laser therapy for 12 days followed by mobilisation exercises.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Cervical spondylitis is due to the decrease of intervertebral space in neck causing pressure on the nerve root. In spondylitis there is chronic pain in neck during neck movement.Take crocin 500mg one tablet sos after food , apply hot fomentation,volini gel and take rest. If there is recurrent pain take x ray cervical spine and consult orthopaedic specialist

Do hot fomentation twice daily. Postural correction- always sit with a small pillow at your low back. Sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises like bridging and bhujang asana x twice daily. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees or on your sides with a pillow between your knees. And get vit d levels checked. Go for regular walks follow 30-30 rule when at work. After every 30 min of work. Do 30 sec of stretching or stand and walk a bit.

Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day. Avoid junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Tea. Alcohol. Avoid alcohol consumption. Do pranayama early morning.

First of all you need to take care of your routine diet, which should be healthy and adequate for your age and work profile. Next you need to regulate your sleep and waking up timings and incorporate done strengthening exercises too.

Use warm water fomentation + any analgesic spray for 4 times daily upto 2-3 days. If possible find any kinesio taping therapist nearer to you. This should be useful to you primarily & if it doesn't subside then you need to consult a physiotherapist asap.

After surgery you'll need extensive physiotherapy to get back to normal. After acl sugery it takes few months to get back to the same normal condition as before, so you have to keep patience. You r in bangalore, so go to sparsh hospital at the narayana health campus. If surgery not done yet, consult ortho surgeons there. If surgery is done, you'll need physiotherapy, so go to their physiotherapy department and meet physio

Sometimes when I stand for long hours, my foot starts paining. I do see some swelling around my ankle. Sometimes even the veins puff up. What could be the reason?

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.
