Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

first v have to look out for causes of bad breath.weather it is due to infection in oral cavity or due to gastric upset. if u have swollen gums then u need an oral prophylaxis ; or cavities in teeth then have to get the treatment accordingly. if u have gastric upset then then it has to be treated accordingly. glister or any paste will give u some freshness for some time BT not permanent.for permanent cure we have to eliminate the cause .

Is Drinking the water in the morning, before brush or after brush? Which is better ? I heard that drinking water after brush cause chemical reaction in our stomach which is there in toothpaste manufacture! I think before brushing the teeth , drinking water is good for health that clears the stomach and loose the motion! Which is better before or after.

Asking your doctor if an antiobiotic medicine can be taken is advisable as it can help in reducing the infection and swelling. It can also be taken after the treatment for faster healing.

Quit these things for always. They cause very serious oral condition like cancer leukoplakia submucous fibrosis. You may have submucous fibrosis because of chewing tobacco amd beetelnut products. You need to go for thorough investigation and biopsy to know about any transformation. Maintain proper oral hygiene by brushing properly morning and night.

Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need braces, deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent toothpaste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid affecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.

Usually it would be due to inflammed gums, if it is due to that then a simple cleaning of teeth will cure.

Usually ulcer heals by itself only within 1 week. You can take 'Becosule capsule' once in a day for 1 week for faster recovery. Temporarily you can apply mucopain gel over ulcer for relief..

Dental Implants or Dentures - What is Best Suitable for You?

Tooth loss occurs due to various reasons decay and infection, fracture, accidents, gum disease, to name a few. Tooth loss has a negative impact on various aspects facial appearance, chewing efficiency, and overall nutrition. The attempts to restore the lost tooth have led to various advancements from removable dentures to cast partial dentures to fixed dentures to implants.

Listed below are features (covering advantages and disadvantages) of both dentures (fixed and removable) and implants. While dentures can be complete or partial, implants are more often partial, of course can be used to replace multiple teeth. A detailed discussion with your dentist along with oral and radiographic examination will help in making a decision.

Removable Dentures:

Advantages:

Replaces tooth but more for cosmetic reasons than function.

Poor chewing efficiency.

Useful when multiple teeth are to be replaced, especially when no adjacent teeth are available for support.

If good bone support is not available, retention is an issue.

Not very healthy for the underlying jaw bone and adjacent gums.

Requires daily and routine maintenance.

Fixed Denture(s):

Also called as bridges, as the artificial replaced tooth is a bridge between two natural teeth.

Requires removal of sound tooth structure as abutment (support). This is the major disadvantage with fixed dentures, which promoted further work from the dentists, ending up with discovery of implants.

Promotes tooth decay in the adjacent teeth.

Good support, so retention is not an issue.

Not as harmful to the underlying jaw bone as removable denture.

Requires maintenance but not like the removable denture.

Expensive compared to removable dentures.

Replacing a bridge also means the adjacent healthy teeth are affected.

Implants:

Very good replacement alternative, replaces not just the crown structure but also the root structure.

An excellent option when the jaw bones and gums are extremely in good condition.

Almost natural restoration of both chewing efficiency and facial appearance, the person can eat almost anything.

Not as harmful on the gums like dentures.

Does not cause bone loss like dentures.

Can be used to replace single or multiple teeth, where multiple implants are placed and a bridge is placed over them.

The titanium screws that are used fuse with the jaw bone over a period of time.

The titanium is also biocompatible, thereby reducing chances of allergy.

Implants are expensive, and many insurance companies may not cover them.

If properly fabricated and maintained well, then it can last for decades.

The decision to go for a denture or for an implant should be decided based on a detailed evaluation of overall health and if required radiographic examination. Both dentures and implants have advantages and disadvantages, and the dentist will help make the right choice.
