I am 33 years old woman. Last month I removed my pregnancy through medicine. But I pregnant again after one month and I didnt want any baby now. Is this safe to remove pregnancy in vvery short period again?

If done in a proper way in consultation with a gynaec it's safe. But frequent abortions are definitely not advisable.

Itchy skin in pregnancy and postpartum is a common complaint. Sometimes itching in pregnancy is caused by “PUPPS Rash” and having PUPPS rash postpartum can happen after the birth of your baby. It can be a huge inconvenience when you are dealing with a newborn and lack of sleep. PUPPS rash postpartum tends to look like hives. Here are the symptoms: Rash consisting of bumps and redness. May spread to arms, thighs, buttocks, and breasts. Itching that can be severe for around a week. Itch clears before the rash. Stretch marks with rash around them. Fatigue due to lack of sleep from itching at night. The following home remedies have been found helpful in taking care of PUPPS rash postpartum at home: Nettle or Dandelion Tea. Drink two cups daily of the organic brand. Flaxseed Oil. Take two tablespoons in a cup of milk. Chickweed Gel. Apply 3 to 4 times daily to the affected area. Pine Tar Soap. Use with each shower with warm water, not hot. Works in 2 to 5 days. Olive Oil. Do not dry off after your shower or bath, but apply olive oil to your wet skin and then pat dry. Coconut Oil. Apply to the rash twice daily. Banana Peel. Rub a banana peel to the rash a few times a day. Baking Soda. Make a baking soda and water paste and apply it to the rash. Corn Starch. Make a paste and apply to rash areas to help relieve itching.

I had caesarean on June 1 and bleeding was occurred up to July 1 and on July 20 bleeding is again comes is it normal or abnormal and also back ache is coming.

If it is fresh bleeding bright red in color and coming with clots, you may need a checkup. Small quantity of dark brown-black discharge may come off and on during the first 2-3 weeks after delivery but every day the colour get lighter and then becomes white before it stops completely. Anything ore than this needs checkup.

Pl do weight management practices simultaneously. Start walking 30 minutes constantly daily. Have negative caloric intake. Use warm water to drink as a routine. Enhance fibers in diet. Do Pranayam and Meditation daily - may be few minutes only. You may also control masturbation happily by this.

Diets that are deficient in vitamin c can cause severe dental problems, including loose teeth and bleeding gums. Try a salad with citrus fruits, such as orange or grapefruit sections, to boost your body's ability to fight those destructive symptoms, as well as plaque. Be sure to buffer citrus fruits by including them as part of a meal, because their acid content could potentially erode tooth enamel.

MS - General Surgery

Do one thing, examine your breast by yourself by palpating breast with flat of your fingers and pressing against chest wall all around, if you find any lump then consult a general surgeon and an ultrasound mammography and FNAC to be done.

In genetic testing for pregnancy is it possible to identify for mental illness specially schizophrenia. Me and my wife are healthy couple but my mother-in-law is having schizophrenia. So what medicine or testing is available to reduce the risk for same in pregnancy to the kid.

MBBS, MD (AIIMS, Gold Medalist), Diploma in CBT (Glasgow)
Psychiatrist, Delhi
No it is not possible to reliably detect as of now. Dont focus too much on it. Since the baby's grandmother is the only person having schizophrenia in the family, his/ her chances of having schizophrenia is anyway very low.

How much sex should you really have?

India Best Sexologist Clinic, MD - Medicine - HMB, Member of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health (UK) (MRSH)
Sexologist, Delhi
How much sex should you really have?

Sex is an extremely personal and subjective matter. Different individuals relate to and indulge in sex differently. The idea of sex also varies from person to person and may not always fit the stereotypical penile-vaginal penetrative intercourse.

There is no way of determining exactly how much sex is good and how much of it is too much. Some people like to be sexually active with thorough regularity while others find comfort in abstinence. Age also plays an important role here with people between the ages of 18-29 indulging in higher levels of sexual activity than those who are middle-aged or elderly.

The different levels and frequencies of sexual activity have varying degrees of impacts on the overall mental, physical and sexual health of a person. There are numerous health benefits attached to having an active sex life, which manifests themselves in both the body and the mind.

The health benefits of having sex are -
As per studies conducted, it has been shown that having sex, at least, two times a week can boost overall physical and mental health. The many health benefits of being sexually active are as follows:

  •   It improves immunity and makes the body more resilient to diseases
  •   It improves bladder control in women and prevents urinary incontinence
  •   It prevents erectile dysfunction in men
  •   It improves blood circulation and lowers blood pressure
  •   It acts as a stress reliever
  •   It improves functioning of the heart and lowers the risk of heart disease
  •   It reduces sensitivity to pain

There are several other benefits of sex, which include the effective healing and nurturing of the body in a holistic manner.

Is there a limit to having sex?
A large number of people all around the world are concerned about their carnal compulsions and frequently approach sex therapists about what frequency of sex constitutes as a 'healthy' dose.

There really is no such thing as too much sex. But if overindulgence in sexual activities causes a disturbance in everyday activities such as work, classes, household responsibilities and other obligations, it becomes a problem. If such a situation arises, it might be signs of a sex addiction in which case it is important to consult a sexologist or sex therapist. Ideally, having sex two times a day is good for your body, mind and soul.

White sticky vaginal discharge and burning sensation. What can I do? Too shy to go and get it checked by a doctor! Should I try the home remedies? Would garlic and yogurt (curd) work?

Dear user. I can understand. LEUCORRHOEA translates in modern medicine as a whitish or yellowish discharge of mucus from the vagina. Some of the most common causes of white vaginal discharge include: 1)Infections from bacteria, fungi or other parasites. 2). Injuries or trauma to the vagina, the womb or the cervix, which is very common during pregnancy. 3). Lack of cleanliness or poor hygienic measures. Discharge related with leucorrhoea (or other STDs like yeast infection, chlamydia and trichomoniasis) are generally foamy, greenish-white, foul-smelling and infectious. A proper diagnosis using vaginal swab is very important to diagnose the exact infection, before treatment can ensue. Please consult a gynecologist for clarification and then treatment. Take care.

Hello lybrate user- irregular menses might occur due to two causes, first if you have developed anaemia (low hb count) or you have experienced sudden gain in your weight occur in pcod (poly cystic ovarian disease). It will affect your ovulation and hence your fertility after marriage. Try this ayurvedic treatment- a) tab kuberaksha vati 1 tab twice daily. B) tab hyponid 1 tab thrice daily. C) do basti treatment by nearby ayurvedic doctor (it is a very effective treatment in ayurveda for pcod). D) maintain proper eating routine, avoid fast foods and spicy diet.
