Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. Quit habits if any. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. Advance procedures (for pink gums) can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. You can’t brush every time you eat. But you sure can drink water or at least rinse your mouth with water every time you do so. Water neutralises the effects of acidic and sugary foods. Rinsing removes food particles left behind on/ between the teeth.

I have got severe pain in my teeth from last 2 days and I have a cavity too in my premolars what should I do?
Kindly get an x-ray done of the tooth having pain. May be you will have to get root canal treatment done followed by a crown or cap. Till then you can take a pain killer like tab dentaforce dt 2 tablets dissolved in water. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene. Kindly get the cavity filled before it becomes deep and painful.

I am getting recurring mouth ulcers from months. Help me to get rid of this. Thank You:)

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
I am getting recurring mouth ulcers from months.
Help me to get rid of this.
Thank You:)
Hi lybrate-user, a mouth ulcer is a painful sore inside the mouth, on the tongue, soft palate (the back portion of the roof of your mouth), or inside the cheeks. Sores in your mouth are round, white, or grey in color, with a red edge or border. The condition is usually becomes okay within 7 days. But if it persists beyond that, or if multiple ulcers keep re-appearing, medical advice must be taken. In severe mouth ulcer attacks, you may also experience fever and physical sluggishness. Taking vitamin b12 supplements along with a suitable gel for pain is the best remedy.

At what age tonsillectomy is required and what are the precautions to be taken after it?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
At what age tonsillectomy is required and what are the precautions to be taken after it?
A tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils. Tonsils are two small glands located in the back of your throat. Tonsils house white blood cells to help you fight infection, but sometimes the tonsils themselves become infected. Precautions: don't take aspirin or other medications containing aspirin for at least two weeks prior to surgery. Don't eat anything after midnight before the scheduled surgery. Your surgeon should provide you with instructions about eating food and drinking liquids prior to reporting to the hospital. Make arrangements for a ride home. Plan for 10 days to two weeks or more of recovery time. Adults may need more time than children do.

Hi lybrate-user, yeah there could be few options for you like braces treatment followed by replacement of missing lateral incisors or only cosmetic treatment of front teeth with veneers or bridges. Cost would vary depending on type of treatment, there is a wide range starting from 20000 to 80000.

Taste and health at the same time - eating a piece of cheese after meals helps in pulling away some of the plaque from the mouth and also tiny leftover food particles. And since it contains calcium, it adds to bone health and teeth health too.
