My father have itching in entire body since so many years. Age 50. Like on head, legs, private place, hands, on back ...
If possible send exact location of itch or pics. If you have fungal infection/itching, then home remedies or self treatment wont work to cure it, for fungal itch I will prescribe a schedule of anti fungal medication for your specific problem which have to be strictly followed or the fungii may develop resistance and come back later once cured. Hence never self treat fungal itches with any self prescribed medicines or it may lead to resistance and lifelong problem. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

We can treat this problems but we need extra information about the patient. I will send a case taking form which you have to fill up that and I will tell the medicine's name" erythromelalgia, formerly known as mitchell's disease, acromelalgia, red neuralgia, orerythermalgia, is a rare neurovascular peripheral pain disorder in which blood vessels, usually in the lower extremities or hands, are episodically blocked (frequently on and off daily), then become hyperemic and inflamed. There is severe burning pain (in the small fiber sensory nerves) and skin redness. The attacks are periodic and are commonly triggered by heat, pressure, mild activity, exertion, insomnia or stress. Erythromelalgia may occur either as a primary or secondary disorder (i. E. A disorder in and of itself or a symptom of another condition). Secondary erythromelalgia can result from small fiber peripheral neuropathy of any cause, polycythemia vera, essential thrombocytosis, hypercholesterolemia, mushroom or mercury poisoning, and some autoimmune disorders. Primary erythromelalgia is caused by mutation of the voltage-gated sodium channel?-subunit gene scn9a. In 2004 erythromelalgia became the first human disorder in which it has been possible to associate an ion channel mutation with chronic neuropathic pain; when its pathophysiology was initially published in the journal of medical genetics. Conversely, in december 2006 a university of cambridge team reported an scn9a mutation that resulted in a complete lack of pain sensation in a pakistani street performer and some of his family members. He felt no pain, walked on hot coals and stabbed himself to entertain crowds"

Dear sir, is hanging testicle indicate any abnormal sign? Is that any effects on sex life? Please suggest me.
Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Testicle size, color and shape differs in every individual. If you observe your ears, eyes, hands, legs etc they will be differing in some aspect in your body. The same is applicable to your testicles too. They differ in color, size and texture. This difference will not affect your sexual performance or future reproductive ability. But you should look for abnormal swelling of testicles with or without pain, itching, burning etc. Don’t panic. Take care.

Hello doctors, I am 25 year old male. I am wearing glasses since 9 years . I have miopia -4.5 spherical both eyes. I am planning for laser operation please suggest according my powee , will it be fine to go for laser treatment. And also what is the risk ?

Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Chennai
Before going for laser your power should be stable for one year or your power should be the same in two consecutive visits when checked 6months apart. So that power will not change after laser. You can avoid glasses upto your 40th year .After 40th year because of age and cataract changes you may have to use glasses. After laser you will have normal vision with both eyes opened(binocular)as healing process may be different for both the eyes. After laser there may be dryness changes for which you will be prescribed with lubricant eye drops for a certain depending on the severity of your symptoms.Very rarely some people may have halos and night glare. And in some people infections ,thinning and bulging of cornea very rarely.Your retina should be checked for any breaks and holes and treated appropriately before going laser.

Benign Prostrate Hyperplasia And Its Symptoms!

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, MCh - Urology
Urologist, Agra
Benign Prostrate Hyperplasia And Its Symptoms!

Benign Prostrate Hyperplasia (BPH) is a condition which results in the enlargement of the prostate gland. The prostrate grand is situated near the Urethra (a tube which helps flush out the urine from the bladder). Generally, the chance of developing BPH increases after one crosses the age of 50. But it is yet unknown as to why some men experience more severe symptoms than others.

Causes of BPH
This condition generally occurs because of old age and affects almost all men above the age of 75. It occurs because of the various hormonal changes and changes in cell growth that the body goes through, as one becomes old. Sometimes BPH can set in due to genetics. If BPH sets in due to genetically reasons, it usually is quite severe and affects men before they reach 60.

Symptoms of BPH
Quite a few men who develop BPH, experience no symptoms at all. But when symptoms of BPH, known as lower urinary tract symptoms (LUT) start, they can be either mild or very severe. The severity of the symptoms is not related to the extent of the enlargement. Many a times men with only a mild enlargement complain about severe symptoms, while men with a highly enlarged prostate gland have not complained about any discomfort faced.

Symptoms of BPH tend to worsen due to cold weather and also because of physical and emotional overexertion. There are certain medicines, which should be avoided if you suffer from BPH, as they have a tendency to worsen your symptoms, for example diphenhydramine, pseudoephedrine, oxymetazoline spray and other antidepressants.

The symptoms of BPH are related to bladder emptying and issues with bladder storage.

Symptoms related to the urine drainage from the bladder are:

  1. Strain while urinating
  2. Weak urine flow
  3. Some dribbling after urination
  4. Sudden urge to urinate
  5. Pain while urinating

Symptoms related to storage of urine in the bladder are:

  1. Waking during the night to urinate
  2. Urinating frequently during the day and at night
  3. Sudden urge to urinate, which may be hard to control

It however, has to be kept in mind that these symptoms may not primarily occur due to prostate enlargement, but are the result of other conditions like urinary tract infections, prostatitis, prostate cancer, neurological disorders and even diabetes. Thus, it is essential that you visit a doctor and get the cause for these symptoms diagnosed properly.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

The initial choice of treatment is a steroid ointment that is locally applied. (This can be suggested by a doctor after you are examined in person) The ointment softens the foreskin and is applied for up to 6 weeks. When full retraction is possible the ointment is stopped. If this treatment is unsuccessful, a circumcision (surgical removal of foreskin) may be advised.

If we have a tuberculosis diseases and we do not take care of disease what happened.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Tuberculosis, commonly known as TB, is a bacterial infection that can spread through the lymph nodes and bloodstream to any organ in your body. It is most often found in the lungs. Most people who are exposed to TB never develop symptoms because the bacteria can live in an inactive form in the body. TB is spread from person to person through the air. When people with lung TB cough, sneeze or spit, they propel the TB germs into the air. A person needs to inhale only a few of these germs to become infected. **Proper medical treatment under the specialists is necessary to get cured.
