I am looking for a good dentist. My son who is 3.5 years old, has carries in front teeth. Is that curable?

I am looking for a good dentist. My son who is 3.5 years old, has carries in front teeth. Is that curable?
Certainly curable. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning and artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food or milk after dinner to avoid tooth decay. Brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean the tongue with a tongue cleaner.

Hi Good morning My daughter is 5 years old she has lots of Lice in her hair We r still using medical shampoo n Neem hair oil but not getting relief Pls advice what should I do?

MD - Skin,VD & Lepxsy
Dermatologist, Hyderabad
Hello Ms. lybrate-user, I understand head lice can be a very irritating experience. Though unhygienic and unclean hair can lead to head lice, but even if you keep your hair clean and wash hair daily, you can get head lice by touching your head to an infected person’s head. Head lice can easily be transferred by brushes, combs, barrettes, headbands or sharing the towels, clothes or even furniture of the infected person. You can treat head lice by adopting both at home treatments that are safe or with the help of chemicals that are easily available both over-the-counter or on prescription by the dermatologist. To get rid of head lice at home, use a fine-toothed lice comb to remove lice. Comb your hair daily with this comb till all lice are out of hair. An important point to remember here is that you might again get head lice this way as head lice can crawl into your sheets, towels, clothes. So dry clean your bed sheet and other clothes in hot water. Clean all your furniture and floor with a good disinfectant. Chemical treatment of head lice gives quicker and more permanent solution to do away with lices. You can buy a good shampoo or leave on chemicals after consulting a dermatologist. Since, such solutions contain pesticides, a dermatologist should always be consulted before use.

Healthy diet including all fruits, vegetables, pulses etc is best rather than any medicine. Your pubertal growth takes its own pattern so don't worry about that.

You can continue breastfeeding, it is very, very rare for a mom to need to stop breastfeeding for any illness. There are only a few very serious illnesses that might require a mom stop breastfeeding for a period of time or permanently.

My child does not sleep in night. Please do help.

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
Babies don't know day and night so early in their life. We can't control their behavior. If she is taking breast feeds and is active, playful, gaining weight, there is nothing to worry about. Stay cool, play and enjoy with her.

WHAT IS THE PROPER TREATMENT FOR TUBERCULOSIS IN STOMACH ? WHETHER IT IS FULLY CURABLE ? HOW MUCH TIME IT TAKES TO CURE ? IS THERE IN MEDICINE IN AYURVEDA / HOMEOPATH FOR THE SAME ?

MD
Pediatrician, Secunderabad
It is 100% curable. With allopathic medicines (in most caes) time is 9 month in a new uncomplicated case there would be medicines in ayurveda and homeo also. But i personally dont advice to go for those medicine. Its a serious illness. Get treatment for it seriouslyy otherwise you will face serious problms. Try ayurveda and homeo for common cold or seasonal itching or constipation but for serious illness absolute no.

Glad to see wonderful doctors here
As we will be purchasing all baby products like ...
God bless her long, happy and healthy life. There is no need for any special purchase. No need of shampoo, cream etc. sponging specially of folded areas as arm pit etc is sufficient up to 1 month of age. Do not go for any specific brand. Select yourself with your own skill. Exclussive Breast feed up to 6 months of age is best food.

A syndrome essentially means involvement of differetn systems of one's body due to a common pathology. The range of involvement of different systems vary from patient to patient. All babies of down syndrome donot have bad outcome. The outcome varies from very good to worse. Your baby needs detailed clinical examination to see her neurological status, certain imaging and blood investigations to rule out other defects commonly associated with down syndrome and most important of all close follow up.
