Hello
Docs
My baby girl 2.5 month old if I give bottle milk
So how much ML is sufficient for her? At one tym.
You should never feed your baby in bottle as bottle feed leads to many serious side effects and health issues. Feed with only a cup and spoon, in addition to breastmilk

I am breastfeeding since two months. What vitamin supplements should I take and for how long.

Diploma in Child Health (DCH), MBBS
Pediatrician, Delhi
Hi lybrate-user since you are breastfeeding you must take 25 percent extra food than your pre pregnant food. As such no supplementation is required unless untill you are suffering from some deficiancy. You must take a balanced diet which include roti / rice, green vegetable, dal, salad, fruits, milk, egg etc. Avoid junk food.

It's protuberant abdomen which is normal in this age. If it is progressive you must rule out fluid collection by showing to a good doctor.

My son age is 4 years old he does not take meal and not interested in any food someone given me advice to use ayurvedic medicine charak" mallon" is this better for his health.

DNB(Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician, Chennai
Hi Mr. Lybrate-user it is normal for the children of this age (<5yrs) to be fussy. If his weight and height is normal for his age and is healthy then it should not be a concern. Also don't force him and don't give frequent feed as he will not be hungry. Let him play and make him as for food and slowly make it a habit by food at appropriate time.

If your child's age is between 9-12 years and his/her front teeth or jaws are looking forwardly placed then consult orthodontist as soon as possible as this is the proper age to treat your child by modifying jaw growth if there is any imbalance between upper n lower jaw.

How can I change the habit of breast feeding of my child of 3 yrs? She is not taking any other foods. please help.

Pediatrician, Mumbai
How can I change the habit of breast feeding of my child of 3 yrs? She is not taking any other foods. please help.
As long as she gets what she wants she is not even going to make an effort to try anything else. Besides, she has got addicted to breastfeeding. The only way out of this is to be firm and stop it altogether, no matter how much she pushes you. Offer solids at 4 hours intervals. Don't try feeding in between.

Drinking a cup of tea everyday helps in keeping the gums and teeth healthy as it contains high amounts of flouride and flavonoids which prevent harmful bacteria from sticking to the teeth.
