If pre semen ejaculated & goes to vagina if there is any possibility for a women for pregnancy? Please advice
Hello- Yes. Pre-ejaculation fluid may contain sperm, which means pregnancy can occur even when full ejaculation doesn't occur within the vagina.

All About Platelet Rich Plasma

All About Platelet Rich Plasma

Blood plasma enriched with platelets is known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). Being a rich source of similar platelets, PRP can perform healing of tissues and bone by using various cytokines and growth factors. Plasma therapy using platelets is a renowned procedure and is extensively used in other methods such as orthopaedics, dentistry and dermatology. Indications in dermatology that require PRP are wound healing, androgenetic alopecia, face rejuvenation etc. Various protocols are used for the preparation of PRP and although no fixed procedure exists, the principle methods include gathering of platelets in groups, which are 3 to 5 times greater than the physiological quality. This is followed by infusing this concentrated plasma in the tissue where recuperation is needed.

Constituents:
PRP is used in tissue repair due to the growth factors present and their efficiency to heal various injuries. Calcium chloride and thrombin are used to activate the platelets that are gathered in the PRP. PRP contains cytokines and growth factors that include:

  1. Keratinocyte growth factor
  2. Fibroblast growth factor
  3. Insulin-like growth factor 1
  4. Insulin-like growth factor 2
  5. Platelet-derived growth factor
  6. Epidermal growth factor
  7. Transforming growth factor

Conditions:

The effectiveness of PRP is being evaluated through research. The effectiveness is influenced by factors such as

  1. Area of the body that is treated
  2. Whether the illness is chronic or acute
  3. Health of the patient

Preparation:
There are two standard methods of preparation of PRP. In both the processes, the patient's blood (anticoagulated using citrate dextrose) is collected and passed through two centrifugation processes, which are designed to separate the concentrated PRP from the red blood cells and plasma deficient platelets. Production of PRPs vary according to different techniques and equipment.

Clinical Applications:
In humans, PRP has been used to treat different kinds of ailments such as androgenic alopecia, osteoarthritis, nerve injury, plantar fasciitis and chronic tendinitis. It is also used in plastic and oral surgery as well as for bone repair. Following 6 weeks of therapy, the patients are advised to rest. 6-12 weeks later, they are re-checked for improvement. In some cases, there might be a requirement of more than one injection. Most of the patients report that they are able to return to normal activities within 3 months.

The white discharge after taking the ipill. Is it the sperm which is exiting out. Or is it something else? Is it sign of pregnancy? Please advice and how long will it continue to flow. please advice and do the needful.

DNB, DGO, MD
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Hi lybrate-user I pill has very high doses of hormones. The discharge is because of that. It may continue till your next proper period. You may also have some irregular bleeding because of ipill. Also ipill should be used only as an emergency and not a routine form of contraception.

I took mifepristone and misoprostol for my abortion and I had prolonged small clots in different intervals for 1 to 2 month's. Now during scan there was multiple follicles arranged in peripheral pattern with thickened stroma the ovaries measures about 31*15*32 mm in size, volume -8.13 cm3 and 34*21*24 mm in size, volume -8.67 cm3 ,others are normal. Gynecologist suggest me for yamini tablet. I am not interested in taking this tablet because of it's side effects. Will this multi follicular ovaries cure by itself without tablet is there any natural way to cure it. Please do the needful.

Pcos is a problem in which there is hormone imbalance in the body. It can cause irregular cycles .hair growth wt gain which is most commonly observed. Sometimes couples find a bit difficulty in conceiving. Wat we usually advise is regular exercise, loose weight or try not to put on weight. These lifestyle modifications can help in reducing the intensity of problem. Usually if your periods get delayed you need to see your r not pregnant ,if negative take tablets for periods to come. Taking yasmin might regularise your cycles but still pco can come back because it also has genetic predisposition. Sometimes we do advise other tablets called insulin sensitisers if sugars are not in balance.

Natural Cycle IVF

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MBBS
IVF Specialist, Delhi
Natural Cycle IVF

What is Natural Cycle IVF?

Natural cycle IVF involves collecting and fertilising the one egg that you release during your normal monthly cycle. No fertility drugs are used in this treatment.

Is Natural Cycle IVF For Me?

It may be worth discussing this treatment option with your clinician if your periods are fairly regular and you are ovulating normally, but:

you are unable to take fertility drugs (for example, cancer patients or those whose clinician has suggested that they are at risk of OHSS “ ovarian hyper-stimulation “ a dangerous over-reaction to fertility drugs) because for personal or religious beliefs you do not wish to have surplus eggs or embryos destroyed or stored.

How Does Natural Cycle IVF For Me?

The treatment is the same as conventional IVF, but without the fertility drugs that are used to stop natural egg production and hormones that boost the supply of eggs.

As your ovaries are’nt being artificially stimulated, you don’t need to rest as you would after conventional IVF.

If your treatment is unsuccessful, you can try again sooner if you wish.

I missed my period I never faced this problem and I was late for 11 days. I had period cramping and 5 days back I had spotting. Today I went for home pregnancy test and it came negative. What to do?

There are various reasons except pregancy to miss or delayed periods. Even simple stress can alter the schedule. If it is a one time occurence then you should not panic. Only if it is recurrent and become irregular then it is advisable to take consultation. And for the record. Home urine pregnancy test are not always reliable. They may come false positive or negative. To be safe try repeating it after few days. With new strip of a good company.
