Get an X-ray done and see a dentist so that he can save the tooth with a root canal treatment and crown if possible.

Hello doctor, I am 30 years old male and have problem when I brush my teeth, My gums bleed, can you please suggest me...
There are so many causes of bleeding gums - - brushing too hard - poor oral hygiene. - vitamin deficiency - taking blood thinners or other medications - bleeding or clotting disorders - mouth sores - other medical problems, including diabetes, heart disease, leukemia or scurvy few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth.

HI Lybrate USER, unless we know your age and position were you are having pain or sour gums its hardly possible to know the reason of the condition why it happened, it might be due to trauma while eating, ulcer, improper brushing technique, poor oral hygiene, so kindly provide detail but without examining practically hard to say, I can suggest some oral habit maintenance: 1. Brush twice, Make sure you clean your tongue while brushing2. Use regular mouth wash every night before sleep 3. Pls do use floss. 4. Consume water frequently for every 2 hours, rinse your mouth after having food and check the outcome in a month. And do visit your dentist for regular check up.

Hi. I am feeling severe tooth pain when I drink cold water. What is the solution for getting rid of it ?

Hi. I am feeling severe tooth pain when I drink cold water. What is the solution for getting rid of it ?
A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Use tongue cleaner and if that white colour persists consult a dentist in person. For dryness of mouth drink more water as much as you can and there are artificial inducers like sugarless candies and chewing gums to increase your salivary rate.

Hi. Rinse your mouth after eating anything because every time you eat an invisible transparent layer called plaque get deposited over the tooth surface and that needs to be removed every time. Brush twice daily and night time brushing before going to the bed is Compulsory. Visit a dentist every 6-12 months for Scaling/ Cleaning of teeth. Do warm saline water rinses. Use a mouthwash occasionally as it reaches every corner of the mouth and removes the plaque.
