I have get a crack in my tooth and I got lots of pain, please give me a suitable suggestion.
If the tooth crack is more and it is present in between the teeth if 3/4 th area is lost than it should be removed if it is less than 3/4th area then it can be treated with root canal treatment and crown is placed on it for protection.

On Jan 15th I had met with accident and I lost my upper first two teeth and also from left third one is damaged but its I had root canal Now my question is Dental bridge for for teeth is better or implant? If I go for dental bridge can I bite hard items while eating? Which is the best quality dental bridge for front 4 teeth? Thanks in advance. :-)

Dentist, Trichy
Weather u can do implants or bridges can be determined dep on ur age, bone density n various other factors. Consult your dentist for evaluation of the same. And coming to biting hard food, its not advisable be it metal ceramic or full ceramic bridge or implants. Long term biting with dental bridge or implant may cause cracks ,ultimately leading to breakages. Food cut into pieces n eating s advisable. Full ceramic bridges are recommended as far as aesthetics is prime concern.

Smell from the mouth may be due to conditions present in the mouth and from stomach. Conditions in the mouth are poor oral hygiene i. E presence of plaque and tartar, poor salivary flow, or may be due to some gum infections. Problems from stomach may be due gastritis. Dehydration is also a common cause. Drinking adequate water may also relieve this. Kindly consult your dentist for further clarifications and wish a confident smile.

• Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. • Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. • Reduce your alcohol consumption. • Stop smoking. • Cut down on coffee. • Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. • Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. • Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. • Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. • Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. • Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. • Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. • Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. • If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. • Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. • You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person.

I am suffering from tooth pain there is deep hole that pain too much, soo can you help, for what medicine I take.
Dear Lybrate user, dental decay is a progressive disease that does not stop until treated. The main treatment options are filling, root canal treatment or extraction (removal) of the tooth depending upon the extent of decay. No medication in the world can repair or arrest dental decay. It would be better for you to immediately visit your local dentist for a checkup and start with the treatment. Dentistry is a field that does not depend on medications. It works on treatment performance by the dentist and compliance by the patient. If you delay the treatment, the tooth might fall out or completely decay in which case it will have to be extracted.

An impacted tooth is a tooth that is positioned against another tooth, bone, or soft tissue so that it is unlikely to fully erupt through the gums to reach its normal position in the mouth.
