How to whiten teeth naturally? I brush regularly N my teeth are not very yellow But mildly yellow I want them white n bright Help.

Dentist, Gurgaon
natural teeth are never bright white, their colour varies from pale white to yellowish white. if you want them to get whiter, you can go for bleaching treatment. visit a dentist for the same.

Brown? brown stains could be due to excessive tea n coffee, tobacco chewing, flurosis or other enamel defects. Get a scalling n polishing done by a dentist. Ask dentist if you hv enamel defects which can b treated with veneers/ crowns.

I am 67 all my teeth are intact. The front teeth upper and lower are a little bit projecting. At this age is it possible to set it right. How to remove stains on the teeth? While chewing /masticating the food the side teeth touches the flesh of the mouth and gets pain. One dentist said slight chipping of the teeth so that it will not harm the sides of the mouth. Pl advise.

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Regarding projecting teeth problem at this age the orthodontic treatment is not advisable. About your 2nd complain trimming can be done if possible and required. Try to eat at slowly and do some exercises like holding water and air in your mouth so that cheeks get stretched a little. Take care.

I have pain in my upper teeth before three day what I do please give me proper solution?

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Surat
Usually, dental pain is because of infected pulp. And taking painkillers will not help much. If you need a permanent relief, you have to consult a dentist. Get your xray done and let him advice the necessary treatment. For the time being, you can take any drug having paracetamol 500 mg 2/3 times a day to manage pain. Remember, with medications pain will subside but it is not a permanent solution.

Dear Dr. There is blood bleed from my teeth, whenever I spit, I can see blood in it.

BDS, CDE Endo-Prostho, CDE - Cast Partial & Complete Dentures
Dentist, Pune
Hello, bleeding gums could be because of deposits on the teeth or food lodged in between your teeth. Visit a dentist and get your scaling and polishing done. Brush your teeth twice daily, night brushing is very important. Floss regularly. Rinse after every meal. Visit dentist every 6 months.

One side of masseter muscle is larger I think so. Due to which my one jaw appear larger than other. please help my symmetry. Suggest some facial exercise.

BDS, MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Delhi
Hi lybrate-user, It seems you have a hypertrophied muscle, this is basically due to over activity of muscle. Probably you might b a night grinder (involuntary grinding of teeth at sleep). U must visit a dentist and get a night guard made. It will definitely help you out.

Hello sir, I have dental cavity, how can I solve this problem without visiting doctor. Please guide me.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning and artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Hi I am 24 year old guy, I have very small size of front teeth, it looks weird so want change it and implant medical teeth. Need know what is consequences and does it pain or feels differ. Or should I handle with small size natural teeth.

M.Sc - Medical Bio-chemistry, BDS
Dentist, Jaipur
Now days dentistry is about saving natural teeth. If front teeth are small those can be corrected by cosmatic smile designing by conservative method. There is no neend for removing them and getting implants.

BDS, Master of Hospital Administration

There is no medicine to remove paint from your body you have to remove them with brush or clothes by rubbing and washing. Similarly to remove stains from teeth you need to use instruments which are very costly around 25000 to 50000 so better visit a dentist who keep such instruments and skills to clean your teeth stains by a professional procedure known as scaling.

Discoloration of the teeth can be prevented by munching on foods like pears, apples, carrots or celery afterbrushing, as they trigger tooth-bathing saliva which helps in teeth whitening.

I am 27 I am suffering for bad breadth from childhood onwards visited dentist so many times but no use they clean ask me t do brush twice a day even I do also same problem. Suggest how to get rid of this?

BDS

Bad breath due to gum infection or food accumulation. Get professional cleaning done by dentist. Brush twice, floss your teeth, get your cavities filled if you have any one. Clean your tounge also daily. Do not have food which has more odour like garlic and raw onions.

Hello sir, My dentist did full zirconium metal capping on 10 upper teeth 7days back air was passing I got it're done yesterday but I still feel air passing between gums. Is it normal what care should I take? Or I am disturbed psychologically.

MDS - Periodontics, BDS
Dentist, Ranchi
Do not get disturbed by this. Their are certain situations where crowns are made in such fashion that it do not contact gums to make cleaning better but I do not think that it is done intentionally. Speak to your doctor. He will surely do things for your comfort. Take care.
