Hello,<br/><br/>Is video ke zariye, sports injuries hmare knee joint ke around, uske bare me info...

Hello,

Is video ke zariye, sports injuries hmare knee joint ke around, uske bare me information dena chahunga. Knee joint sports injury bhut hi common hain. Kayi bar bike or road traffic accidents me bhi milti hain. Is s pehle me apko knee joint ke structure ki information dunga so that aap is problem ko easily samjh payein. Knee joint ke alwa knee me bhut sari chizen or bhi hoti hain jisko diagnose krne ke lia hume MRI krna pdta hai. Inme ligaments, ACL, shock absorber (meniscus), upar ki layer jo hai use cartilage bola jata hai. Agar hum ligament ki bat kren to ACL, sabse common injury hai. Isme patient ka knee twist hone lgta hai. Iske karan patient sports me participate nhi kar pate hain.

Ligament injury ke lia arthroscopy surgery iske lia recommend ki jati hai jisme latest technology ke through inko reconstruct kia jata hai. ACL surgery sabse common surgery hai. Post-operation, rehabitation ki jrurat pdti hai. Baki ligaments ka bhi surgical treatments kia jata hai. Meniscus ka role bhut important hai. Agar meniscus ki problem hai to hum ise replace krne ki advice dete hain. Is se weight bearing thik rehta hai. Or patient ke lia ye joint iske baad normal function krta hai. Kayi bar meniscu repair ke layak nhi hota, aise case me torn portion ko nikal dia jata hai jisko hum mastectomy operation kehte hain. Ye arthroscopy se kia ja skta hai. Ab last hum baat krenge cartilage ke bare me.

Ye ek soft layer hoti hai or iska regeneration bhut kam hota hai. Isme sports me bhut problem hoti hai or agar ye unattended rhe to joint khrab bhi ho jata hai. Is case ke lia surgical technique available hai jisko hum autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI) or micro-fracture technique bolte hain. Iske through cartilage ki layer ko regenerate kia jata hai. Sports injury ko prevent kia ja skta hai agar aap apne aap ko warm up kren, apne muscles ki care kren, proper training len before going for any sport. Agar prevention ke baad bhi apko injury hoti hai to surgery ke through apko vapas sports me le jane ki koshish kar skte hain. Or ye successful kafi cases me rehta hai.

Thank You.

Hello,

Aaj hum joint pain ke bare me baat krenge. Knee joint jisko ghutna bhi bolte hain. Ye bhut hi common problem hai. Hmare pas bhut sare patients aate hain or iska karran puchte hain. Young patients bhi puchte hain ki isko hum kaise prevent kar skte hain taki hume old age me problem na ho. Hmare body ka load sabse jyada knee joints pe hi pdta hai. Agar aap overweight hain to apko knee pain hone ke chances badh jate hain. Sabse common problem hai degenerative arthritis. Ye age-related hota hai or isme joint ka surface ghis jata hai. Joint ke andar cartilage hoti hai. Ye joint ko painless rkhne ke lia bhut jruri hota hai and agar ye ghis jaye to ye pain krna shuru kar deta hai.

Jab ye advance ho jata hai to iska regeneration nhi hota hai. To hum maximum patients ko surgical treatment ke lia advice krte hain. Is condition ke symptoms kya hain. Patients ko pain hota hai. Day to day activity me dikkat hoti hai. Kayi bar legs tede ho jate hain. Ek dusra arthritis hai jisko hum bolte hain gathiya or rheumatoid arthritis. Ye ek bimari hai. Isme joint puri trha se destroy ho jata hai. Early stage me ye dawaiyon se control ho jata hai.

Or jab ye advance stage me hota hai to hum knee replacement hi advice krte hain. Ye surgery bhut successful hai. Is surgery me jo layer khrab ho jati hai use replace kr dia jata hai. Ise knee surfacing bhi kha jata hai quki isme sirf surface ko hi change kia jata hai. Ek new name hai jisko hum fast track ya enhanced recovery pathway total knee replacement. Isme hum new technology ka use krte hain through gadgets jo pain relief krne ke lia hota hai or ye post-operative dia jata hai.

Iske through patient 2-4 hours me hi kuch steps lene lag jate hain. Bed ke around vo aram se chal skte hain. Is s complications kam ho jate hain or patient ki recovery fast ho jati hai. Aaj kal gyroscopic navigation, blood loss reduction strategies, reducing pain modalities use krte hain or ise fir hum fast track knee replacement ka name dete hain.

Vitamin D Deficiency - Symptoms & Ways to Reverse it!

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics, DNB - Orthopedics

Vitamin D Deficiency - Symptoms & Ways to Reverse it!

Before explaining how you can reverse the deficiency, it is important to know how vitamin D plays a pivotal role in your body. Well, this very vitamin is responsible for balancing the hormonal levels and ensuring the perfect functioning of your bones and brain. Also, vitamin D is indispensable for the proper functioning of your central nervous system. This is why people who are deficient display signs of anxiety, depression and, in severe cases, even suffer from bipolar disorder.

Apart from the neurological symptoms that the deficiency of vitamin D indicates, there are some physical symptoms as well that should not be overlooked either:

So, What Are The Causes Of Vitamin D Deficiency?

There are various reasons that lead to vitamin D deficiency. The most common ones are as follows:

  1. It happens when you are a vegan and do not consume any animal-based products, as it is common in foods like fish, egg yolks, beef liver, and fortified milk.
  2. You have limited exposure to sunlight, in such a case your body fails to make required vitamin D.
  3. If you spend a lot of time indoors or live in the northern latitudes, or wear robes, you may become vitamin D deficient.
  4. In case you have dark skin, it reduces your skin’s ability to make vitamin D based on your exposure to sunlight. Aged adults having a dark skin tone are more likely to suffer from vitamin D deficiency.

How To Overcome Vitamin D Deficiency?

  1. Get More Sun: 20-30 minutes of sunlight is all it takes for our bodies to produce enough Vitamin D to last us for a week, not everybody is able to enjoy the sun.
  2. Eat More Food Rich In Vitamin D: Just increase your intake of foods that are naturally rich in vitamin D, such as salmon, raw cheese, yogurt and egg yolk. And if you are vegetarian, go for mushrooms as they are also an excellent source of vitamin D.
  3. Vitamin D Supplements: This is the fastest way to boost the vitamin D levels in your bloodstream, but it is advisable to consult a doctor before you begin your daily dose.

Use Of PRP Therapy In Orthopaedics!

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics, DNB - Orthopedics
Orthopedist, Delhi
Use Of PRP Therapy In Orthopaedics!

It is considered as the medical speciality, which caters to injuries and various diseases in the musculoskeletal system of the human body. This constitutes the joints, bones, tendons, nerves and muscles that enables a human being to move, be active and work. Orthopaedic surgeons perform special problems like diagnosis of the injury or disorder, treatment with right medication, rehabilitation that is by prescribing exercises and physical therapy in order to restore back movement, function and strength and finally prevention by providing information and plans of treatment to prevent the injury or reduce the progression of the disease.

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)
PRP is the next generation injection method which is used commonly for conditions like knee, hip, shoulder and spine osteoarthritis, cuff tears, ACL injuries, pelvic instability, tennis elbow, back and neck injuries, ankle sprains, ligament sprains and tendinitis. It includes higher blood rate platelet concentrations and the patient experiences fewer chances of inflammatory side effects due to its pure PRP mixture.

How does it heal the body?

  1. The human body at first responds to the soft tissues injury which is to have the platelet cells.
  2. They are packed with healing factors that initiate repair and also attract critical assistance of the stem cells.
  3. The process intensifies the human body’s efforts which directly delivers a higher platelet concentration into the area of need.
  4. To create the PRP, a small section of the patient’s blood is drawn and it is placed into centrifuge which spins blood at a higher speed and separates the platelets from the components.
  5. It is injected into and at around the mark of injury and it significantly strengthens the process of healing.
  6. Just because the patient’s own blood is used in the process there is no risk of transmissible infection and also has less chance of allergic reaction.
  7. The procedure takes a couple of hours inclusive of the recovery and preparation time. It offers instant recovery as well avoids a long stay in the hospitals and application of anesthesia.

Outcome of PRP?

As the goal of PRP therapy is just to resolve pain by healing, it can prove to have long-lasting results. Initially, improvements are seen within few weeks eventually increases with the healing progress. The research studies have shown that PRP therapy is safe and effective and enables the patient to get back to their normal daily routine.

The PRP is very rich in platelets and it is a very old therapy that is adopted. It is a simple process and has multiple injections lasting 60-90 minutes and above all, it has natural end results, for example, PRP therapy is applied in hair restoration that provides natural appearing end results. It is a reliable process and therapy.

Knee Joint - 7 Most Common Problems!

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics, DNB - Orthopedics
Orthopedist, Delhi
Knee Joint - 7 Most Common Problems!

The knee is one of the biggest and most complex joints in the body. The knee is joined by the thigh bone (femur) to the shinbone (tibia). The little bones that keep running nearby the tibia (fibula) and the kneecap (patella) are alternate bones that make the knee joint. Ligaments associated with the knee-related leg muscles move the knee joint. Tendons join the knee bones and provide help to the knee:

  • The foremost tendon keeps the femur from sliding in reverse on the tibia (or the tibia sliding forward on the femur).
  • The back tendon keeps the femur from sliding forward on the tibia (or the tibia from sliding in reverse on the femur).
  • The average and horizontal tendons keep the femur from sliding side to side.

Some of the most common knee joint conditions are as follows:

  1. Chondromalacia patella: Irritation of the ligament underneath the kneecap (patella), bringing about knee pain. This is a typical reason for knee pain in youngsters.
  2. Knee osteoarthritisOsteoarthritis is the most widely recognized type of joint inflammation and regularly influences the knees. It is caused by maturing and wear and tear of the ligament. Its indications may include knee pain, swelling and stiffness.
  3. Meniscal tear: Damage to a meniscus, the ligament that supports the knee, regularly happens when the knee is twisted.
  4. ACL strain or tear: The ACL is in charge of a substantial part of the knee's flexibility. An ACL tear regularly leads to the knee popping out and may require surgical repair.
  5. PCL strain or tear: PCL tears can bring about pain, swelling, and knee unsteadiness. These wounds are less normal than ACL tears, and exercise based recovery is generally the best alternative.
  6. Patellar subluxation: The kneecap slides or separates along the thigh bone during movement, causing pain around the knee cap.
  7. Patellar tendonitisInflammation of the ligament related the kneecap (patella) to the shinbone. This happens mostly in competitors from rehashed bouncing.

Some of the most common and effective knee treatments are as follows:

  1. RICE treatment: Rest, ice, compression and elevation stand for RICE. The RICE treatment is a great solution for some knee conditions.
  2. Pain medications: Over-the-counter medicines or pain relievers, for example, acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen (Motrin), and naproxen (Aleve) can treat most knee joint pains.
  3. Non-intrusive treatment: An exercise routine can strengthen the muscles surrounding the knee, expanding the knee's strength.
  4. Cortisone infusion: Injecting steroid into the knee that can diminish pain and swelling.
  5. Hyaluronan infusion: Injection of a “gooey” material into the knee that may diminish pain from the joint and delay the requirement for a knee surgery.
  6. Knee surgery: Surgery might be done to amend a number of knee conditions. Surgery can supplant or repair a torn tendon, expel a harmed meniscus, or replace a seriously harmed knee.
  7. Arthroscopic surgery: An endoscope is embedded into the knee joint. Arthroscopic surgery has a shorter recovery and restoration period than open surgery.
