Dear Lybrate user, you can extract your gingival receded teeth. Or you can wait for natural shedding. * gingival recision can not cause any harm or bad effect on implant. You can take implant after shedding your teeth.

Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer.

Removing the food particles from the braces is necessary since they can convert into plaque if they still remain in between the braces. Brushing twice a day and flossing daily is necessary during the orthodontic treatment.

I have swelling in my right cheek. A dentist I consulted is advicing removal of wisdom tooth. Is that the only way or can it treated any way without removal?

You can delay but cannot avoid third molar extraction. You can try warm saline gargles for a few days.

Hi, reason fr not able to chew can be becuse ofdecay on that side or gum inflammtion, you need to go to a dentist ti knw th reasn and than only treatmnt can be suggested fr nw an antibiotic andpainkiller fr 3days is advisble.

There is a some challa(ulcer) in my tongue from few days. Is this happen due to less folic acid? what should I do?

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. You may need c. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals & hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer until then. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Hi, 58 years, old since two month when taste cilly food, my tongue gets burn senssion, any relief.

Check for any sharp edges on your teeth which are irritating your tongue. Any interdental cavity where your tongue goes often. Exhausted tongue is often sensitive. If it is not the case then see a dentist to rule out the physical cause.
