I had a chest pain at 2.30 am in night before yesterday. I had consulted a physician and make ECG and Lipid Profile test. Ecg is good but in lipid profile test the level of cholesterol & triglycerides levels are 200 & 230. Is it serious or not? Should I consult with heart specialist?

YOu have to reduce cholesterol and triglycerides by taking statin drug. It i better to do a TMT test to make sure the apinis not from heart

Dear Doctor, My mother type 2 diabetic that is sugar level 190 after food but she is not taking any medicine for the same but doing regular walking for half n hour and taking only ragi ball, chapati as food also taking methi powder every day in empty stomach in the morning, Pleaee advice need her take any medicine for the same of s please advice name of the medicine and where will can get. Thanks

For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - have small frequent meals. Do not fast for long hours. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Avoid junk foods. Exercise and stay active. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well. It's all a matter of discipline.

My hairs have suddenly started to fall over the entire scalp after a bit of time gap. The hair fall started as I started college in a different environment altogether in Jaipur, I came back to Shillong and it has started again. What's causing it? Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation. I cannot comment unless I know what is the cause of leg pain in you case, but if there is any deficiency, then we will supplement adequately. Dear, anger and aggression are emotions. Anger comes when you become irritated. Irritation happens when you don't like something, or when something is repeated. As anger is an emotion, it should be vent out. You should be able to throw anger out instead of controlling it. But more perfect will be, know the frustrating situations and stop being emotional. If practiced properly, you will not get irritated at those circumstances at all. Those techniques are much easier to understand. Take care.

Hello I am 23 years old female. I look healthy but inside I am so weak. After whole day work my legs soo paining. If I do lots of work and do not rest then I feel restless. Some time my knee pain a lot. If I do not eat in the morning at 11'o clock then my stomach pain a lot. I have also a gas problem. I feel so tired in the night and sleeping time is not proper please advise me what to do.

Dear, if you tired very fast and feeling weakness. Then you will definitely recover from weakness by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. Very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. You can also do pranayams like anulom vilom for better results. * you can take ashvagandha churn of baidyanath 1 teaspoon with milk daily for 2 months atleast to get your strength back. * check out your haemoglobin level in 3 months, if it is low you get tired early. So get treatment of low haemoglobin (anemia). If you have any disease like asthma /diabetes / hypertension, then get complete treatment of them. * avoid all fast foods and habit of smoking or drinking. You surely get great strength and recover from weakness by following these important things. To get rid from gas problem: take pudina (mint) and coriander leaves grind it and eat one teaspoon of it daily 2 times in a day. You can make chutney of it. Mint and corriander has enzymes that improve your digestion. * do pavanmuktasan daily for 5 minutes under the supervision of yoga expert.

Low sperm count is not related with junk food you can take diet that may help in raising sperm count like almonds/ milk/ yoghurt/cashews/ water melon seeds/pumpkin seeds consult physcian.
