For loosing weight lifestyle changes along with balanced diet and sound sleep are very important. Few tips for the same- start eating small frequent meals and don't skip any meals specially breakfast Include whole grains and use atta with bran take high fibre diet which include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables Drink atleast 10-12 glasses of water avoid drinking calories in form of juices and carbonated drinks avoid eating junk food, fried food and maida products try to eat home made food as much as possible move yourself use stairs, walk to near by places instead of using any vehicle include at least 30-45 minutes workout in your routine take sound sleep of at least 7-8 hours, quit smoking and drinking if any manage stress consult me privately for customized diet plan.

Hi Thanks for your query and welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from Fortis hospital, New Delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - To maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - If pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - Physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - Adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - Ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - Analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - Avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Dear Lybrate user, You cannot make the scars disappear overnight, but with a few remedies and skin care tips, you can experience a noticeable difference over time. Take lemon juice one tea spoon add honey half tea spoon, mix it and apply on your face daily twice after wash the face. After 10 days call back with the results.

Hi sir, Recently I was feeling pain in my lower leg and went to local doc for medicine and he prescribed test. I did x ray and ct scan of spine and it is found that disc space between L4 and L3 is reduced with lumber spondylitis tracing as per report. He prescribed me only physiotherapy. Please guide me severity of disease and possibility of chronic. Also suggest me hospital for further treatment Regards.

Take IFT for 25 days @ 15 min per sitting then take ultrasonic therapy @ 12 min after that avoid water there 4 hrs use choamote do not sit on floor use LS spine good brace lie on hard area surface do not do sex now.

Hi Dryness in the nose specially in winter where breathing gets heavy if not cleaned properly. Applying coconut oil or ghee inside nose helps keeping nostrils moist but is it a proper solution? It even bleeds if not soft /moist inside. Please suggest.

Causes of lack of sleep are: • stress • Anxiety • Depression • Pain • irregular schedule of sleep such as sleeping during day time & working during nights. • Caffeine, alcohol • Due to drugs • Due to high blood pressure. • Aging Due to lack of sleep there are many complications arise such as lack of concentration, irritability, fatigue & digestion problem. So these are some instructions & methods for good sleep: • Frequent oil massage of head with oil relax your mind and enhances sleep.
