I brush twice daily. But still my teeth is not getting white color. I am using sensodyne tooth paste. What should I do to get rid of the yellow stains.

If you want to get rid of yellow stains then you need to get your teeth cleaned first and then go for bleaching of teeth to brighten it. Sensodyne or any other toothpaste is of no use

You don't go a day without cleaning your teeth, right? Then why leave the tongue dirty? A dirty tongue equals a dirty breath and development of tongue plaque. Clean your tongue daily with the help of a proper tongue scraper and remove that plaque and freshen your breath.

Hi lybrate-user, the causes of itchy gums in children are: 1. Mild inflammation of gums 2. Accumulation of debris on teeth 3. Teeth pushing through gums the best home-remedy is to massage on your child's gums with a mix of mustard oil and salt twice daily for 1 or 2 days. It will sooth the gums. Hope that helps.

Do not wear your denture for few weeks until healing. Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with t. Rebagen 10, morning one tab & one at night for 5 days, c. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals. Hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Doctor, My tongue has cut during having my dinner. There is no bleeding but blood has stuck inside. Now there is a black spot. Is this a serious issue? What should I do now?

BDS
Dentist, Una
Dnt worry it will subside by its own. Just dnt bite on the wound again. If you have pain then you can apply some pain relieving gel. Visit a dental surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment. As names of medicines vary place to place.

Hi, for the past 3-4 months I've had a white/yellowish coating on my tongue that doesn't go away even after brushing twice a day and scraping it with a tongue scraper multiple times a day. I even used Betadine gargles for 3 days and took Fluconazole for a week, but it didn't help. It keeps resurfacing and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I've been traveling for a shoot for the past few months in villages and haven't been eating properly, so have lost weight and my immunity has probably been affected by that as well as I had a cough that lasted almost 20 days. Would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Black hairy or furry tongue or yellow furry tongue: This is caused by dead skin and food buildup, and occurs commonly when the papillae become enlarged, swollen, or rough. When this buildup is paired with bacteria or yeast, it can cause the tongue to look yellow or black and hairy.White tongue is the result of an overgrowth and swelling of the fingerlike projections (papillae) on the surface of your tongue. The appearance of a white coating is caused by debris, bacteria and dead cells getting lodged between the enlarged and sometimes inflamed papillae.
