cycling is not going to relieve your backache. You can consult to ortho doctor or physiotherapy for lower backache stregthening exercises.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

I have been diagonised with slip disc at l5 s1 and been advised root block therapy, can anyone advise if ts effective?

Hello Lybrate user,  Back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced Stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid Cruntches or Sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to Slip Disc. Always maintain a healthy Lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: Try to avoid pain killers (Analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with Side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay Healthy. Stay Happy God bless you.

As long as pain killers considered don't take for long duration do consult neuro physio and take ust for 12 days for pain best wishes.

Please take fruits such as apple/guava/banana daily. Take potatoes unpeeled in cooked form. Also take mag phos 6x - 4 tablets twice daily for next 7 days for pain in knee/leg and back.

I am 29yrs old I have neck pain while driving bike, it get free and unable to move head right and left only straight. If am not driving its easy to move neck but only on bike it get lock. Pls advice its from last 4 years. I took cervical X ray but no result.

Gentle massage over knees with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oils daily for about 15-20 minutes and hot fomentation afterwards will greatly help in subsiding the pain. These procedures would give strength to your knee and reduce the pain and stiffness. Regular oiling the joint will improve the lubrication also. This will greatly help. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking.

Hello, there can be many reasons behind it like mental worries, nutritional deficiency, hereditary and anaemia. *Make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water daily. *Eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. *Eggs as it is loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amount. *Add more vitamin rich food to your diet. *Avoid stress and anger. *Cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. Take homoeopathic medicines 1.Lycopodium 30 (4 drops in little water) twice a day for 7 days 2.Alfalfa tonic (SBL) (1tbs) twice a day for 7 days and revert. Apply jobarandi hair oil.

Research scholar.... good. We need more research scholars. you must be having lot of sitting work. You need to strengthen your back muscles by exercises. Take calcium rich diet and sunlight exposure for vitamin D. Check Vitamin D levels. If its low, then need to take medicines.

Kindly do meditation and yoga. In early morning regularly. Due to lack of oxygen supply you feel headache and tiredness frequently. Dip your hands and legs inside lukeworm water for 15 min regularly for a week and do some free exercises inside lukeworm water. This will be helpful.

Hi I am 40 yrs old I had l4, l5 problem means like a butterfly shape is there, but last year summer ending I face a problem of knee to foot and elbow to fingers burning sensation is there, at that time I met one Dr. He given a simple medication means daily one tab of nuerobeian and daily morning and evening 30 mins walking with belt after that I relive that pain now means after one year I facing same problem and one more thing when I wear the belt after that my total body is shivering and motion sensation is there means some times coming some times may not total body is dehydrogenation feeling is there please kindly give me a best suggestion thanking you.

Slip disc is one of the causes of pain in spine. Stiffness & pain in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Numbness is mainly a symptom of neuropathy. It could be due to vitamin B Complex deficiency. If it not diabetes. Other causes can be ascertained only after proper history taking. Then only It can be Treated.

Visit orthopaedic surgeon. You will need to take injection for tetanus. Dressing of wound. Evaluation of knee and treatment accordingly.

I have joint pain from last 2 year. I consult doctors but no one give me proper treatment for cure. I have arthritis problem and have pain on my all joints. Also my weight had lost from 65 kg to 50 kg. In cold climate my pain grows and give me double pain. I am feeling pain in every moment. Some times fever comes to me. Kindly suggest me. I checked my all internal organs but report comes that all are working fine. Every doctor has given me a lot of tablet and medicine. But when I eat deflazacort tablet it gives me slightly relief from pain. May be for 1 to 2 days. Than again pain starts. Kindly suggest me doctor.

I am diabetic and suffering from hypertension. Both are in control. From last few days I have a pain in right foot x-ray reveals nothing. I also feel much weakness.
