If you are it profession you have to change some postural changes example sitting with straight back support, arms should be rested, avoid prolong standing, forward bending, weight lifting etc. Consult physio they will give treatment to reduce pain after reducing pain you have to strengthen your back muscles. Apply ice or hot pack for 5 to 10 minutes daily 4 to 5 times.

Prevent Osteoporosis Through Your Diet

World osteoporosis day 20 October 2016
Osteoporosis is a medical condition in which the bones become brittle and start thinning due to the loss of tissues. Doctors advise food rich in calcium, vitamin d and vitamin c to help maintain healthy bones as well as to reduce the risk of this condition. Regular muscle-strengthening exercises are also helpful in preventing osteoporosis. According to recent studies, the following foods help prevent osteoporosis and relieve painful symptoms.

Milk:
It is no big surprise that the superstar of foods for osteoporosis is milk. Milk brims with bone strengthening calcium which is a crucial nutrient for healthy bones. Milk is packed with vitamin d, which is important for the absorption of calcium in the body, improves bone health and also boosts the immune system. If you are worried about the weight gain factor, go for low-fat or skimmed milk.

Fish:
A perfect osteoporosis diet should always include fish as it is an impeccable source of calcium. Fish, especially salmon is packed with vitamin d, an important nutrient which helps the body absorb and process calcium. Sardines are also a rich source of calcium. The calcium in fish helps maintain bone mass and also maintain bone structure.

Almond:
Almonds are a great source of vitamin e, manganese, calcium and riboflavin, and are an inseparable part of the osteoporosis diet plan. It supports bone health in many ways. Almonds are a chock-full of essential nutrients that help build strong and healthy bones. For people suffering from osteoporosis, it is must to incorporate a handful of almonds in their daily diet plan.

Eggs:
An ideal diet for osteoporosis is never complete without eggs. Eggs are packed with vitamin d, vitamin k, vitamin e, vitamin a, phosphorous, folate and selenium. They are one of the best natural sources of protein which protects our bones and promotes healthy hair and nails. The phosphorous in the eggs is an important component for healthy bones and aid in strong bone formation.

Yogurt:

It also contains several other nutrients like calcium, potassium, vitamin b2, vitamin 12, vitamin d and magnesium. In women, during their menopause, there is a notable deceases in the estrogen levels which in turn can cause thinning of bones, yogurt restores the estrogen levels and ensures bone health.

Bananas:
Bananas are very nutritious fruits and one of the most effective foods to prevent osteoporosis. One of the main reasons to incorporate bananas into the osteoporosis diet plan is its high potassium content. Regular intake of banana helps the body to absorb calcium and other essential bone healthy nutrients that ensure bone health and lowers the risk of osteoporosis.

Cabbage:
Cabbage is one of the best foods for osteoporosis and ensures strong, healthy bones. It is a great source of fiber, vitamin b6, vitamin d, folate, iron, magnesium, calcium and potassium. Folate plays a pivotal role in carrying out many bodily functions like bone repair and bone maintenance. Cabbage also helps in the process of bone metabolism.

Madam lybrate-user you have sever deficiency of these minrals and vitakins with L4- 5 bulge in my openion you should immediately consult local Orthopedic surgeon and got your treatment according to his advice. At this age this short of deficiency can lead to further complication.

Hello lybrate user, gout is a condition which results from sudden changes in uric acid levels in the body or persistent raised uric acid levels. One way to suppress the attacks is to treat the symptoms only through anti-inflamatory agents but joint damage can continue from this. Other way is to prevent an attack of gout by treating the cause itself. I would suggest you to see a rheumatologist and enquire about drugs which can decrease the formation of uric acid in the body or drugs which can increase its clearance from the body through urine. There are some other precautions to be taken with both the drugs like maintaining adequate hydration, etc and the rheumatologist should be able to explain it to you. There are also some lifestyle modifications like regular exercise but avoiding heavy exhaustion, avoiding certain foods, etc. Kindly consult a rheumatologist to know about the same. Hope this helps.

I'm a 26 year female. I have been experiencing back pain for few months. Before it used to be a throbbing pain from top of left buttock till bottom of left buttock. But few months ago I noticed more pain in lower back. Few weeks ago, pain in thoracic region of back started which over took lower back pain. I took MRI scan but only radiologist said there's no issue. Yet to show doctor.

Hello Sir/Mam, Despite of sleeping at least 6-7 hrs in the night why I still yawn throughout the day and feel uneasiness and tired. I do physical exercise daily in the morning. Sometimes I suffer from lower back pain. I have desk job and have to sit for at least 10 hrs daily. Thank You.

May be you are not taking proper diet as you need high protein & low carbs diet with good exercises. Do back strengthening exercises at least thrice a week. Do some movements & stretches of your back & neck in between long sitting duty hours.

Take sanjeevani ras vati twice a day with warm water. Take pranacharya jwar nigraha capsule and punarnavadi mandoor 1-1 twice a day with warm water. Avoid salt as more as possible. Drink luke warm water. Wipe your body with clean towel.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. : keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.
