Hello Lybrate user- Irregular menses might occur due to two causes, first if you have developed anaemia (low hb count) or you have experienced hormonal disturbances occur in PCOD (Poly cystic ovarian disease/Thyroid. Try this ayurvedic treatment- A) Tab Kuberaksha vati 1 tab twice daily. B) Tab Hyponid 1 tab thrice daily. C) Do Basti treatment by nearby ayurvedic doctor (it is a very effective treatment in ayurveda for irregular menses and PCOD). D) Maintain proper eating routine, avoid fast foods and spicy diet.

Hi After sex my sperm falls out from vagina why? What should I do? Because I want a baby.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- Ejaculate (the stuff that comes out when a man ejaculates) is made up of a lot of different things. One of it's components is sperm. In a normal male ejaculate, there are anywhere between 20 and 400 million sperm. All you need to get pregnant is one. What normally happens after intercourse, is that a lot of the ejaculate does leak out. Some of it, however, remains in the back of the vagina (in the posterior fornix) and an even smaller amount makes it's way up through the cervix, into the uterus and down the fallopian tubes. It is here, in the fallopian tubes, that the sperm and egg meet. So, you don't need to lie in bed with your legs up after intercourse to get pregnant and the fact that semen is leaking out afterwards, doesn't decrease your chances of conceiving.

Want a gynecologist to respond 2 d and c one miscarriage at 6 weeks which ended after fetal heart beat was seen and a blighted ovum within 3 months what are the chances for normal delivery Just had laparoscopy to remove a cyst but doctor deflated it because he did not want to interfere the cyst in the fallopian tube. Could that be a cause for miscarriage. What are my odds and options.

From your description, it seems that you had a pregnancy that stopped growing after sometime and needed to be removed by d&c. You also had a cyst that was deflated under laparoscopy. But as per your description it was in the fallopian tube - this is something rare, the cysts usually are in the ovary, are not very harmful and can be deflated. I think it is a wrong idea that you have a cyst in the tube. As far as your cycles are regular, the chances of pregnancy will remainhigh.

Infertility: Causes and Treatment

MBBS,MD(medicine), PGDS(sexology), Fellowship in sexual medicines

Infertility: Causes and Treatment

The inability to conceive for a prolonged duration after trying to do so is usually termed as infertility. This is usually diagnosed when a couple is unable to conceive even after trying regularly, without any kind of contraceptives. There may be many causes and factors for this and it may occur in either or both partners. So, you all need to know the causes and treatment of infertility.

  1. Age: Age is a major factor that can lead to infertility for either partner. Usually, the trend now is to delay having a baby until a woman is in her thirties or even forties, in some cases. This has an adverse effect, particularly on the age of the maternal egg which may or may not be effective as far as fertilisation goes. With the advancement of age, one loses the guarantee of genetic normalcy of the egg as well.
  2. Disorders in ovulation in females: Ovulation is an essential function that helps in releasing the egg that needs to be fertilised when it comes together with the sperm at the time of ovulation. This usually occurs at a certain time every month. But disorders like PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome can lead to an inability on the part of the ovaries to release these eggs. The treatment for this includes medication that will help in maintaining more regular cycles for the release of eggs.
  3. Male factor causing Infertility: In many cases, it has been seen that anomalies in the semen analysis reveal problems of infertility with males as of low sperm count, low motility of sperm, low quantity of alive and active sperm when it comes to natural conception. In such cases, a sexologist can prescribe you medicines that will increase the semen production for better quantity and quality of the sperm. The doctor can also ask the patient to go through a number of lifestyle changes too includes abstinence from smoking and excessive drinking, as well as the cultivation of a less stressful environment. Hormonal treatment or even surgery may also required to help in some severe cases.
  4. Endometrial Polyps: In such cases, the female partner may develop finger like growths that can protrude in the form of tissue and come out of the uterine layer or the uterus. The removal of these polyps with the help of surgical procedures usually helps in such cases.

In many cases where mediation fails, the patients may have to go through IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) or other such procedures to conceive a child with artificial methods. One must explore all options and find out the best one in terms of the infertility causes that the couple may be facing. You will also need to ensure that you have a well trained and experienced sexologist doctor who can help you with the process and guide you completely about the cause of problem and prescribe you best treatment to manage infertility at the right point of time.

Hi, Get a pregnancy test done after a week of missed menstrual date to rule out pregnancy as there is release of a hormone called - Human Chorionic Gonadatropin once female gets pregnant. (The test is done with early morning's first urine’ mid-stream). The best way to prevent results from misleading is to follow the instructions included in the package. Of course, you should mind its expiration date. You know the kit will not function properly after that day. Rest assured that you follow the instructions below carefully with no skipping. -Urinate (a few drops suffice) into the circular area of the device. -ŸHang in there for a few minutes and results will only take a short while. The result is positive if two pink lines appear on the device. The result is negative if only one pink line appears on the device. ŸIt might be the case that you will see two lines appear with different colors, possibly one dark pink and one light pink. This generally means the test needs to be retaken. Make sure you wait 2 or 3 days before taking it again, preferably right after you wake up. Bear in mind, however, that negative results are not that reliable. If you feel nausea or still have symptoms of pregnancy, you might want to indulge in a more thorough check-up. We would also like to warn you of a list of medications that can affect test results, such as promethazine, sleeping tablets, tranquillizers, diuretics and medicine used to treat epilepsy and/or Parkinson’s, etc. You can also check the information leaflet coming with the Pregnancy kit, as it will inform you about whether some medications will alter the results of the test.

This is normal. It could be due to the after effect of unwanted 72. Do a pregnancy test 10 days after the missed period and consult with report for advice and treatment.

Hello Meri marriage ko 8 month ho gye h but last month se me family planning kar raha hu meri wife 16 March ko fresh ...
Sex can be practiced in any position. To get pregnant what mattes most is only deposition of semen inside the vagina. As you r married since only 8 months you should try for another 4 months before you can seek medical help. There is calender method you can practice to get pregnant fast. If a women’s menstrual cycle varies from 26days to 31days cycle, The shortest cycle (26days) minus18days=8th day. The longest cycle (31days) minus 10days=21st day Thus, 8th to 21st day of each cycle counting from first day of menstrual period is considered as fertile period.
