My left side lower premolar teeth was capped about a year back as its cavity was almost touching the nerve bed. The dentist instead to doing root canal suggested to just cap the teeth. Till now it was okay, but now I can feel some sensation in my gum when I bite anything hard with that teeth. It's not pain, but it does wordy me. What do you suggest? can they take off the cap, do a root canal and refix the cap?

Hello, Use Homeodent toothpaste twice daily, morning and night before sleep. Take care. Home remedy:- Cleaning your teeth with fresh orange peel on a regular basis will reduce the yellow tinge accumulated on your teeth. Rub orange peel over your teeth every night before going to sleep. The vitamin C and calcium in the orange peel will combat the microorganisms throughout the night. Do this for a few weeks and you will notice effective results. If fresh orange peel is not available, you can use dried orange peel powder. Take care.

Got a late night sugar craving that just won't quit? to satisfy your sweet tooth without pushing yourself over the calories edge even in the late night hours, think fruits first. So resist that chocolate, cake siren and instead enjoy a sliced apple with a tablespoon of but butter or fresh fig halves spread without with ricotta.

Dear Lybrate user, 1. Gums can bleed during scaling, especially if they a swollen (Your dentist has done the the right thing) 2. In your case gum recession has most likely occured due to chemicals from tobacco and related material and also due to unhygiene 3. Stop using tobacco (Most important!) or the damage in your mouth will continue. It may even lead to Oral Cancer. If you can't stop tobacco habit consider taking help from an oral medcine specialist nearby you. Keep a follow-up. Consider visiting rehab centre for deaddiction if needed. 4. Visit a periodontist and get treatment for gum recession, swollen gums and sensitive teeth.

Im having tooth pain in my top left extreme tooth. Its a wisdom tooth emerging. Also there is infection i think. How to reduce pain until it comes out?

BDS
Dentist, Bharuch
Clinical examination of wisdom tooth and xray some times help to evaluate the position of the wisdom tooth. Most of the time wisdom tooth is removed as it will not in proper position and some times if there is chances that that tooth may come in position and can function then some other treatment plan rather than removal is preferable

Hello lybrate-user I would suggest you to get Orahelp liquid drops for your mother. Ask her to apply it on her tongue 5 minutes before having her food. That will give her some relief. Also, Please attach a picture of the ulcer if you can it will help other doctors on this site to attain a conclusive diagnosis.
