Drinking wine a small quantity is good for your heart and overall health. 1.Drinking wine cuts down the risk of coronary heart disease which can lead to a lower risk of heart attacks. It reduces Bad cholesterol (LDL) and increases Good cholesterol (which fights bad cholesterol). 2.Wine is rich in antioxidants, which reduces elements which causing cellular damage to our body. 3. Red wine can reduce the risk of formation of kidney stones. 4.Alcohols tend to overall reduce tension for a while, wines may work well in reducing hypertension in some cases. People often report a good night sleep after drinking wine. I have a desk job. My weight was less but when I started to eat fast food my weight increased. Please help me.
Your weight is controlled by 4 major factors (1) refined sugar consumption (2) exercise and hydration (3) posture and sitting (4) how many times do you indulge yourself - alcohol, binge eating at parties, overeating etc. Step 01: refined sugar 1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. Step 02: get exercise and proper hydration 1. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water. Step 03: improve posture and sitting habits if you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. Step 04: stop indulging and eat more of raw natural stuff 1. No more than 60 ml of hard liqour or 2 glasses of beer per day. 2. Try to eliminate the urge to overeat but if you do overeat try to limit the incidents to two times per week. 3. Eat 4 servings of fruits per day. 4. Each of your meal should contain 50% of raw vegetables. Once you incorporate the above points in your routine you will see a dramatic difference in your weight, physical shape and energy levels. You will find that there are a lot of companies out there that are trying to sell expensive products to naive consumers in the name of weight loss. These products may not necessarily be good for you. Losing and maintaining weight is something which is totally in your hands, it is easy and it is free of cost if you follow the above mentioned points.

Resting at night plays an important role in regulating your daily health and your level of energy throughout a day. Also, not only the quantity but the quality of sleep is also important for a healthy lifestyle. Bedtime habits do play a vital role in shaping up your lifestyle and personality as a whole. Here are many lifestyle habits that can help you to get sound sleep. 1. Make regular and a fixed sleep pattern: Going to sleep and waking up the same time every day helps to maintain an equilibrium in the sleep-wake cycle called diurnal rhythm. If this balance is maintained, then your body will be accustomed to this pattern and as a result, you will feel less tired and fresh throughout the day 2. Maintain a definite dietary regulation: You should also maintain a proper diet plan and observe the consequences/effects of the foods that you are eating and the fluids that you are drinking on your sleep pattern. Taking a good and properly nutritious diet on a daily basis will help you to stay healthy and help your natural sleep-wake cycle. 3. Ensure that your room has mild or dim lighting or darkness if you prefer: The level of light also matters at the time of your sleep. You should definitely make sure that there is a very minimal level of light or darkness around you when you try to sleep. This should be done because the lesser is the light, the more comfortable you are while sleeping. Additionally, the sleep that you will get in a dark room will also be sound and undistorted as it helps keep all the sensory organs calm. 4). Do some relaxing activities before bedtime: Depending on your choice, you should follow simple techniques of relaxation in order to calm down the brain before sleep. Like mediation, Yoga or- deep breathing exercise, muscle relaxing activity, visualizing a peaceful setting/ scenario like a calm garden or beach or mountain area. These activities are just guidelines and you can do anything that helps you to get a relaxing mood and sleep. 5). Avoid daytime naps if you can , But Having short naps of less than one hour is absolutely okay if you are excessively tired during the day or you did not have a sound sleep the previous night. But, if you are consistently having long naps during the day then you are bound to have sleep issues during the night. So it is advisable to sleep early and wake up early for a healthy schedule. 6) Regular exercise: Exercising regularly helps to improve the overall quality of sleep by making you tired at night and sending you to bed more efficiently. Light to mild exercises also helps cure sleep disorders like insomnia.

While most people associate bullying with schools and playgrounds, it does not end there. It can manifest itself in the workplace as well. Bullying can take many forms such as physical, verbal, psychological or emotional.

Bullying can include name-calling, yelling, spreading rumours, hurtful gossip or innuendos. It can create a hostile work environment for others even if they are not the one being bullied. It brings about a negative attitude towards work and therefore low productivity.

There are several ways to deal with bullying in the workplace. They are:

  • SET BOUNDARIES:

Set boundaries between yourself, your coworkers and bosses. Let them know when it’s okay to be friendly and when to be professional.

  • TALK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR:

Talk to your supervisor and come up with a solution to the problem. It is now mandatory for all companies to have a HR department which deals with such complaints. File a complaint with the department and push them to take further action.

  • FOSTER A GOOD TEAM ATMOSPHERE:

Ensure a good working environment for all employees. Teach employees about how to work well with others as well as how to maintain a positive work atmosphere.

  • BUILD A SUPPORT SYSTEM:

When there is an incident of bullying, it always helps to not have to face it alone. Build a relationship with your co-workers. This way when another employee is bullying you, you will have the support needed to stop them from doing so.

  • KNOW WHAT YOU CAN AND CANNOT CONTROL:

When someone is bullying you, know what you can and cannot control in the situation. For example, you cannot control what the other person does or says, but you can control what you say and how you react. Your reaction will either stop the bully from repeating the act or fuel his/her reason to bully.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Take light dinner. 6.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. 7. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner.Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 8. Dear lybrateuser, -It is not very clear as to how your heart is functioning erratically, while taking bp your pulse starts at a point & then gradually tapers off at a point which are systolic & diastolic bp readings respectively, it is the normal phenomenon while taking bp -it is good at your age that your bp & sugar are normal -if you have doubts about your hearts function then get checked up by a doctor who may do investigations if there is any problem.

Hi. As height can be gained till 21yrs. of age in males and 18yrs. in females. Medication: Start taking homoeopathic medicines which are safe to take without any side-effects - Bakson's Hite-Aid and Five Phos. - both thrice daily and Thuja 1M/ one dose once a week - take them for 4 months. Management: Consume a balanced diet. A person will look a lot shorter when having a plump body. Not only that, being fit by eating right will make you taller and feel better! Eat plenty of lean protein. Lean protein, such as white poultry meat, fish, soy, and dairy, helps promote muscle growth and healthy bones. Simple carbohydrates such as pizza, cakes, sweets, and soda, are the stuff to stay away from. Eat plenty of calcium. Calcium, found in leafy green vegetables such as spinach and kale, and in dairy (yogurt and milk), helps promote healthy bones. Get enough zinc. Studies, although they have been inconclusive so far, point to a possible link between zinc deficiencies and stunted growth in boys. Do get indulge in stretch exercises, and sports like basketball, volleyball. -Sleeping is the time when your body grows, Get between 9 and 11 hours of sleep per night if you're a preteen or still younger than 20. -Avoid any bad habit like smoking which affects the height, also avoid anabolic steroids which inhibit bone growth in young children and teens. -Always stand straight instead of hunching your back. (You can probably increase your height by a few inches with diet and lifestyle changes, especially if you are still in your teens or even your early 20s (for boys).) HI, There may be some harmone imbalance in your body due to which the periods may be delayed. Wait for another one week and if you don't get your periods inspite of it, then do an U/S scan of the pelvis to know the uterine status.
