Gum diseases can be treated and reversed in their initial stages very easily. By getting the accumulated tartar and plaque removed by a dentist, there is a chance that they can get better without much ado.

I have gap between teeth. What should I do to remove it. I don't want to go for braces. That looks ugly.
Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (Model study, Full mouth & profile x-ray) & clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need fixed / removable braces. Requirements may depends on the age, complaint, duration of the treatment & affordability. Cost of cosmetic dentistry (braces) varies with dentist. You may consult me in person. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

White deposit in mouth is usually fungal infection. Apply or just pour 2 to 3 drops of candid mouth paint over the tounge 4 to 5 times in a day. After response, it may be continued 3 times in a day for 1 to 2 monts. Do not scrap or scratch white deposit. If no response in 3 to 4 days, consult pediateician. In case, if she is refusing feed which I suppose she is not able to suckle instead of refusing, give expressed breast milk with spoon for proper nutrition. If baby is not able to swallow, consult immiditely. Exclussive breast milk is strongly advisible up to 6 monts of age.

Bleeding Gums !

Few advice to stop bleeding gums--
- visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year
- use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth.
- floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque.
- control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress.
- rinse with salt water to keep the area clean.
- avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth.
- stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums.

Hello. Tooth sensitivity — also known as dentin hypersensitivity — affects the tooth or exposed root surfaces. This occurs when the enamel that protects our teeth gets thinner, or when gum recession occurs, exposing the underlying surface, the dentin, thus, reducing the protection the enamel and gums provide to the tooth and root. If hot, cold, sweet or very acidic foods and drinks, or breathing in cold air, makes your teeth or a tooth sensitive or painful then you may have sensitive teeth. Tooth sensitivity can come and go over time. Causes: There are many causes of tooth sensitivity, including: Worn tooth enamel from using a hard toothbrush or brushing too aggressively Tooth erosion due to highly acidic foods and beverages Tooth erosion due to bulimia or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) Gum recession that leaves your root surface exposed There are several conditions which can cause pain, but which are not tooth sensitivity: Dental caries A cracked or chipped tooth Grinding or clenching the teeth Leakage around restorations External tooth bleaching Management: Proper oral hygiene is the key to preventing gums from receding and causing sensitive-tooth pain. If you brush your teeth incorrectly, or over-brush, your gums may become sensitive. Brushing properly twice daily for 2 minutes with toothpaste that does not have high levels of abrasives, and flossing once a day, can help reduce the chance of tooth sensitivity. A diet low in acidic foods (tomatoes, pickles, tea, citrus fruits) and drinks also helps prevent tooth sensitivity. As the blood supply to the injured tooth gets affected which causes change in colour and thickness of the tooth. Treatment: Apply Plantago Q/ few drops on cotton swab, place it on the affected teeth and press it tightly, do it thrice a day. Orally, take Mag. Phos. 6x and Arnica 200 - both 3 times a day for a month. Do visit a dentist for proper diagnosis, share the reports with me. In case possible, will help you in treating your problem.

Homoeopathic medicine---------------- echenesia 30 (dr reckeweg) drink 2 drops in 1 spoon fresh water 3 times daily------------------- b. C.-18 (dr reckeweg) chew 4 tabs every 4 hrly ------------------------- hekla lavatooth powder (wheezal) scrub teeth daily night-------------------------- tooth paste in morning with any tooth paste of your choice---------------------------- report after 1 months--------------------- take following precautions for your teeth------------------ 1. Drinks: coffee and red wine cause major damage to teeth. But other drinks with high acidity, such as soda, juices and even sports drinks can cause damage staining on the teeth because of its tannins and acidic nature wear away at the tooth enamel. These acidic drinks lowers the ph of teeth below 6 thus causing corrosive wear and tear of teeths. 2. Certain foods: all sweets, candies, popscicles, damage teeth due to its high sugar content. So avoid them as much as you can and if you eat do not forget to rinse your mouth with water immediately after finishing it--------------------------------------- 3. Every time you take meals or eat something make sure to rinse your mouth with water and with homoeopathic rinseout gargles (sbl) after every meals---------------------------------- 4. Use any brand paste for brushing teeth in morning but never forget to scrub teeth with hekla lavatooth powder (wheezal) at night just before sleep.------------------------------------- 5. If possible start a habit of chewing neem stick (datuun) in the morning as it not anly scrubs our teeth but its juice acts as a good antiseptic and antibiotic to destroy the harmful bacterias stuck in out teeth cavities and inbetween teeth.

You need to get scaling (cleaning) done so as to remove all the plaque and calculus, the gum bleeding, pus (if any) and bad breath would regress over a period of 10-15 days. Also do clean your tongue properly and use a good mouthwash as well. Best thing for over all long term gum health is well controlled diabetes. Visit a dentist every 6 months to detect problems at a early stage.

Sensitivity is directly related to tooth wear away( cervical abrassion, erosion or attrision).. This is most likely caused my faulty tooth brushing technique or severe gastric regurgitation or by teething.. These problems can be treated either by fillings or night guard or etc.., depending on the diagnosis.. If left untreated, then severe pain is expected which may need RCT if u want to save the teeth.. So plz do visit ur dentist soon for the required treatment...

Regular Care for Dentures

Teeth need to be maintained well be it natural or artificial. While the natural teeth have their own built-in safety mechanisms, the artificial ones do not and the onus is completely on the owner to care for them.
Dentures can be fixed or removable (partial or complete). For best appearance and proper functioning, these need to be cared for as listed below.

Removable dentures, whether partial or complete, do the following with your removable dentures.

1. Remove and rinse dentures after eating: Take out your dentures and wash it under running water to remove food debris.

2. Handle with care: Especially if your denture has clasps, be sure to not bend them as it may alter the fit. While removing and wearing it, be careful to not drop it, the denture can break.

3. Mouth rinse: Rinse your mouth each time after you remove the denture and before each time you put them back in.

4. Brushing: Use a soft-bristled brush for regular cleaning of teeth and tongue. If no teeth are present, use a soft gauze pad and plain finger massage to clean the gum line and bone on which the denture sits.

5. Soak dentures: When not in the mouth, always place your dentures in a bowl of water. Solution for soaking dentures are available, to be used for overnight denture soaking. When left in open air, the material used to make the denture is affected and may not fit properly over a period of time. Rinse them thoroughly before putting it back in the mouth.

6. Clean your dentures: Rinse the dentures at least twice daily. This will help remove food and plaque.

7. Denture adhesive: When using a denture adhesive, extra cleaning around the area that fits into the gum and bone should be done.

8. Regular dental visits: Visit your dentist regularly to ensure that dentures are fitting properly, functioning as expected and the other parts of the mouth are constantly checked for general health. Ill-fitting dentures can lead to irritation, sores and infection and so should be immediately attended to.

Some things to avoid if you are a denture user are as follows:

1. Soaking the denture in hot water: The denture material can get warped when it is soaked in hot water and have spots on it, which impacts the looks of it.

2. Hard toothbrushes: Always use a soft toothbrush

3. Toothpastes with whitening agents: In most cases, the denture cleanser and normal water and sufficient to clean dentures with a soft brush.

4. Fixed dentures: These are easier to manage than the removable ones. However, periodic visits to the dentist for regular check up is a must. A visit every 6 months is ideal to maintain proper oral hygiene. In addition, regular brushing, flossing, and rinsing are to be continued.

Although excessive saliva is not too common, there are a number of conditions that can cause it - some harmless, others more serious. It is possible that your saliva problems are just a result of the way you speak. Some people speak faster or slower than others, just as some people blink more often, breathe faster, or have a more rapid heartbeat. This may just be what's normal for you. Since it is negatively affecting your life, I suggest your problem can be ignored. However there are medical conditions that causes excessive salivation injection glycopyrrolate reduces secretions in the mouth, throat, airway, and stomach.

Bleeding in my tooth so which toothpaste can I used?
Bleeding may be due to gum disease known as gingivitis with plaque deposition. Scaling will help you in this regard. Rinse your mouth with chlorhexidine mouthwash three times a day after each meal. Use crest toothpaste.
