There is nothing absolute I am afraid. If you have had miscarriages in the past it depends on whether any obvious cause was found. You should eat a healthy diet rich in proteins like dal, fish, chicken, vegetables and fruits like apple/ oranges /bananas. Also ensure you have at least 3 l of water daily. Continue with folic acid till about 4 months. Avoid unnecessary exertion and take adequate rest. I hope these help.

Me and my wife are expecting and she is currently in her 37th week. The doctor is out of town for 3 days in her 38th week. She gave us two options, one to have a backup doctor recommended by her. Another is an induced labor in the beginning of 38th week. Baby's weight is approx 2.5kg +/- 0.3kg. Adequate liquor is available. And baby is not in breech position. Head is tilted. We are worried if induced labor fails, she will be forced to go through a c section. What are the chances induced labor will fail? should we wait till she gets labor pains?

Whether induction of labour will work or not depemds on whats called bishop's score. Your gynaecologist can make this assessment after examining your wife. If the bishops score is greater than 7 or 8 on assessment then there is a higher chance that induction of labour will work. However not guaranteed. Chances of a vaginal delivery is always better if a pregnant woman goesinto labour herself.

6 Ways to Keep Yourself Energised All Day Long

All of us have our'good hours' and'bad hours' each day. While there are the night owls, who are more productive and ideating in the late night hours, there are others who like to be the early bird that literally catches the worm. For both these categories, there are again hours where the energy wanes. Did you know there are some simple techniques that can help to maintain consistent levels of energy throughout the day?
As much as possible, try and maintain a regular routine in terms of waking up, eating at the same hours as closely as possible, and retiring for the day. The biological clock or circadian rhythm needs to be maintained as much as possible if high productivity is desired. Here are some things that can be completely and easily controlled to keep your energy levels steady through the day.
Sleep patterns: be it going to bed or waking up, try and maintain a pattern that does not vary too much, at least not drastically. After waking up, a good dose of light in the morning is very helpful. If your work requires you to sleep during the day, ensure you get up into a room that is well and brightly lit.
Exercise: whether is it saturday or cloudy, a 30 minute workout does magic like nothing else. Get outdoors and be it a walk or a run, cycling or swimming, you will see nothing else boosts your energy as well as this.
Nutrition: reduced carbohydrates, a good dose of protein, ample hydration, adequate fiber intake, and good quantity of dry fruits are somethings to definitely follow. Start with a good breakfast that can boost your energy requirements for the day and eat less as the day goes by.
Caffeine: one of the most pleasant experience is to wake up to have a refreshing cup of coffee. While it sounds exotic, the body benefits more if this caffeine is provided sometime later in the day when the energy levels are low.
Alcohol: for many, alcohol could be a way of stress busting, but if scientifically looked at, alcohol reduces the quality of sleep and leaves you feeling unrested. It also leaves one tired and irritated. If possible, the alcohol intake should be at least 2 hours before bedtime.
Power naps: highly proven technique, where possible, a power nap of 15 minutes is believed to boost up energy levels significantly.
These are some methods to boost your energy levels. Most of it something completely controllable and changeable by you, all it requires is a conscious effort from you.

Typhoid is notoriously famous for causing abortion especially if left untreated. The infection can reach the baby to potentially put you at a risk of miscarriage, pre-mature birth or a low birth weight baby. Septic & early second trimester abortions are often seen in typhoid affected pregnant women. Because most typhoid patients are restricted to liquid diet, there is a good chance that you & your baby miss out on healthy nutrition. If the typhoid affected pregnant woman receives proper treatment the child born is usually healthy & safe. If you notice high grade fever immediately report it to your obstetrician for further diagnosis & proactive treatment.

It depends at that time on how your pregnancy condition is your gynecologist will do a general examination and then decide accordingly whether medicine is required to be taken or not it is advisable to keep a gap of atleast three years between the two pregnancy then it is more safer.

U can have sex as many times as you want or possible. But if you do not want children at present then start using OC pills asap. Oral pill is the best contraceptive for newly married couple. Condoms are still the most popular form of contraception, but can easily be forgotten in the “heat” of the moment, especially in a newly married couple. It also reduces sexual pleasure. Oral pills (combined pill) when taken correctly, the pill is over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. As for that bleeding, it is normal as some blood reamins collected in the vagina or uterus which comes out after sex.
