1. Keep yourself hydrated. 2. Get extra rest for some days till you feel more energetic. 3. Avoid watching television for long hours. Indulge in relaxing activities. 4. Avoid stress and too much physical exertion. 5. Take a nutritious diet with more protein items in homemade food like soya, sprouts, dals, paneer, milk, seasonal fruits. 6. Do light physical activity, meditation and yoga. 7. Take one good multivitamin tablet after food for 7 days.

I am 17 years old male and I am not able to do even one push up. As I try my arms start trembling and I fall down. What diet and steps should I follow to strengthen my arms for push ups?

* Plank Exercises such as the plank improve core endurance, which are critical for stability during a pushup. The ability to hold that classic pushup position is directly correlated to how long you can hold a plank and is an indicator of overall core strength. Work planks into your routine 1-2 days per week for 3-4 sets of maximum holds. * Squats Yes, believe it or not, quads impact your pushups. If you have weak quads, it's hard to hold your knees in the fully extended position that a pushup requires. An inability to do this will cause the knees to fully lock out, which is great for the end of a squat. Be sure to work squats into your routine 1-2 days per week for 3-5 sets of 8-10 repetitions. * Practice Luckily, this one’s an easy fix. Start out by getting down on your hands and knees, and make sure your hands are directly under your shoulders. Shoot your legs back, get into a pushup position and hold it—your hands should still be under your shoulders. A good way to prep for this is by wrapping a rubber band around your fingers then pushing them as far away from each other as possible, holding for a second, then returning to the start.

Dear, you can get a healthy muscular body by following methods: - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. 6. You can try protein powders like milk powder, soya protein for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Hi Mohammed, it would be impractical or unhealthy to lose 30 kg in 1 or 2 months. You should aim at losing about 5 kg in first month and then about 3 kg per month and go back to your original weight in a year. 92 kg weight is suggesting of underlying hormonal disturbance in your body. Unless that is diagnosed and corrected by proper diet and exercise plan, it would be difficult to reduce weight and waist. Make comprehensive change in diet, exercise, sleep and stress in your routine. This is called lifestyle medicine. If you can not do it on your own, find some expert who can help you in this over extended period of time. Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this- 1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor Neurologist and to confirm exact pathological cause please do few investigations like Carotid ultrasonography, ECHO, MRI, and Arteriography 2) Do take treatment as per test reports as well as clinical findings only Do follow few lifestyle modifications like this - 1) Don't smoke. Limit cholesterol and fat. Cutting back on cholesterol and fat, especially saturated fat and trans fat, in your diet may reduce the buildup of plaques in your arteries. 2) Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. 3) Limit sodium in diets 4) Do exercise regularly and maintain a healthy weight. Being overweight contributes to other risk factors, such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. My mom is suffering from Dementia I think as per last diagnosis. My both parents are stays alone at home as I stay away from them for job. Its extremely difficult for dad to manage her alone as she gets angry, forget thing, can not understand time day etc, don't remember anything. Dear lybrate-user, It is really sad to see your mom dementing. It is difficult for your dad or you to care for her. If you call for dementia care NGOs, like Nightingale trust, they will help you of a nursing aid, either day or night or 24 hours. There are about 5 day care and one 24 hours care home in Bangalore exclusively for people living with dementia. There are self help groups like Alzheimer disease society who meet at regular intervals, as support group for care givers like your dad and you. Please get all the information about contacting them from the internet.
