Allergies have frequent recurrences...In spite of being on treatment. But it is important u continue on allergy stabilising drugs in long term as they decrease the severity, intensity n frequency of these recurrences. For the flare ups, soft steroids can be given to make eye comfortable Le in addition to good lubricants. Cold compresses also help. It is best to continue treatment under one consultant...easier to titrate n alter treatments.

could be because of many reasons but commonly it is due to allergy or infection. You need to visit eye specialist to differentiate between the two as the treatment is different. Also get your eyes checked for any glass power

I have been suffering from problem of myopia. What are reason behind it and remedy for it.

Fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology, DOMS
Ophthalmologist, Sangrur
I have been suffering from problem of myopia. What are reason behind it and remedy for it.
Hello. Myopia is due to amny causes like increase in axial length of eyeball, change in curvature of cornea etc there is no medication or food for improving eye sight or to get rid of glasses. Get your vision tested and wear glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens as your age is now 31 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

LASIK and other types of laser eye surgery, such as PRK and LASEK, have excellent safety profiles and very high success rates. They are designed to treat myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism, and can allow you to live without glasses or contacts.

I have little pain in my right eye nd over 2 days ago. specially watching tv nd using mobile. I doesnt have any other eye problems nd doesnt wear specks too. What should I do?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I have little pain in my right eye nd over 2 days ago. specially watching tv nd using mobile. I doesnt have any other...
Mobile screen is made up of hundreds of tiny pixels that are constantly moving. Our eyes in turn are not naturally able to set focus on these constantly moving pixels, and hence we try to focus on an area behind the actual screen. Therefore, in order to work on a mobile, our eyes need to keep on fluctuating focus between their natural point of focus and the pixels on the screen. And this tires the eyes and causes a lot of wear and tear.As a result, we suffer from irritation, which may range from a number of things like headaches, dry eyes, blurred vision, problems in focusing and faulty color perception, to something as severe as glaucoma. The electromagnetic waves that are emitted by a mobile phone can be extremely damaging to the eyes. It has been studied and well documented that these cell phone waves can have a damaging effect on the various parts of the eye, including the retina and the cornea. Moreover, they can cause cataract too. Moreover it is more distressing for our eyes to view contents on a tiny screen which requires even more concentration and extenive usage of eyes without blinking thus causing Eye dryness making them vulnerable to frequent Eye problemss. . The solution for this problem I its reduced usage and while uing mobiles use them inproper light. There is nothing more effective than controlling usage to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the mobile’s screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of mobile usage or take frequent breaks.

Unfortunately there are no natural medications to remove spectacles permanently. You can either try contact lenses or plan for refractive lasik laser surgery.

I have a cataract in my eye how should I remove it without operation can any one help me please.
Dear Lybrate user cataract is any opacity in lens or its capsule. This results from denaturation of lens protein. This damage to lens is permanent. If lens opacity is small and away from visual axis then glass may be helpful. After few months lens opacity involve the whole of lens. And this stage need surgical treatment.

I am using mobile phone and laptop too much and my eyes turns red what can I do to protect my eyes?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

I am using mobile phone and laptop too much and my eyes turns red what can I do to protect my eyes?
While using mobile for long intervals continuously, eyes get exhausted. While using Mobile/Laptop make sure that the lightening in room is proper to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the Mobile/Laptop screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of Mobile /Laptop usage or take frequent breaks. Dont use mobile /Laptop continuously for more than 15 minutes and most important dont use mobile/Laptop with low battery. The bright light of the mobile/Laptop screen gets more focused on our eyes and this causes dryness of the eyes and thus causing weakness of vision and eye and head pain. Homoeopathic medicine CINELUBE EYE DROPS ( HAPDCO) Pour 2 drops 3 times daily.
