Hello, first and formost important thing is to have excellent blood glucose control with fasting around 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% <6.8. If pain is persisting or related reduced blood supply, then certain investigations may have to be done, like colour doppler or ngiography. Then suitable treatment can be under taken.

It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform. You are possibly suffering from oa of knee. Kindly show x rays before any decision can be taken.

I am suffering from leg pain from last 15 days and in legs swelling also and lot of pain in my legs.
Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise. Hamstring stretching towel hamstring stretch lie on the back, supporting the thigh with the hand or with a towel wrapped around it. Slowly straighten the knee until a stretch is felt in the back of the thigh, trying to get the bottom of the foot to face the ceiling, one leg at a time. Hold the position initially for 10 seconds, and gradually work up to 20 to 30 seconds. Seated hamstring stretch while sitting at the edge of a chair, straighten one leg in front of the body with the heel on the floor. Then, sit up straight and try pushing the navel towards the thigh without leaning the trunk of the body forwards. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds repeat 3 times for each leg.

Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x twice daily. Bhujang Asana x twice daily. Back Stretching.

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls. Spine sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od do neck, back & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Don't walk too much. Don't stand for long. Do not change your posture too quickly. Do not sit in the floor. Walk slowly. And by homoeopathic treatment this can b relieve.

Dear lybrate-user good that you are doing exercise. Please go ahead gradually so that you do not injure your back. You can learn yoga and pranayam and practice on daily basis. If you get pain apply ice. For 20 min and avoid pain killers.

I am 45 years male. Having joints pain (knee, arm, wrist, above wrist) since 1 years take pain releaf tab and consult doctor also. He also prescribe me. And give tab but some hours, I am ok. After evening pain will be start heavy pain. Cant sit, cant stand more time. Night time heavy pain, cant sleep properly, cant turn also. I am suffering lot. Please advice me and cure my joint pain.

Hello, A traditional form of yoga or simple aerobic exercises will be a better choice. Zumba is a high intensity workout, which if not taken care can lead to casualties. Walking is also the best ever safe exercise recommended.

I am from Bhubaneswar study at trident academy of technology b. Tech 1st year branch civil sir I don't know why but I am not feeling well I have always a sweet pain in stomach and digestive system is also not good. Too many times I have loose motion and its happening any time any day. I have also pain in leg at knee after while sitting. Dear, Osteoarthritis is age-related wear and tear of your joints and is expected with aging in almost everyone. Most of older gentlemen have weakness of the muscles around the knee -the quadriceps, hamstrings and calf muscles. That adds up to the strain on the knees and increases the pain. The treatment is multidirectional. Avoid climbing up and downstairs, low dose pain killers (as advised by your family practitioner) will reduce your acute pain. Do not squat for your toilet. Use the higher (western) commode. Start on a few sessions of physiotherapy to strengthen your muscles. Make a practice of regular walking. If pain is excessive make use of a walking stick support. Tingling, numbness ,pain and swelling in affected region. You should avoid body positions which increase pain. You can take pain killers ,anti-inflammatory medicines as per prescription after consulting a doctor.

It could be due to cervical spondylosis this is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do neck & back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Use of cervical collar will give you relief.
