My grand mother all sudden lost the clarity in her speech. She is not able to talk clearly life before, we got it checked from physician he said everything is okay, neurologist gave medicine and we get MRI done, report find some clot. Any one who is familiar with such cases please suggest the duration of treatment.

MD PHYSICIAN
General Physician, Delhi
The modality of treatment depends upon the location and size of clot. Anti coagulant medications are given and repeated MRI are done to see if the size of clot decreased or increased. And if size of clot is big and obstructing the blood flow. Surgery is performed in which a catheter is inserted to break down and remove the clot. Consult your treating doctor for the possible outcomes.

I am suffering from puberphonia from last 12 years. I can't control my voice for longer time. And I have to give lot of pressure while speaking. How can I cure it?

MD PHYSICIAN
General Physician, Delhi
Puberphonia is a rare disorder in which adolescent males undergo voice changes to a much lower pitch due to a sudden increase in the length and thickness of the vocal folds. The muscles directly alongside the larynx become too tight, which causes the patient to constantly speak in high sound. Causes Emotional stress, Delayed development of secondary sexual characteristics Psychogenic etc. The treatment include voice therapy by speech language pathologist including :Cough, Speech range masking, Glottal attack before a vowel, Relaxation techniques to relax the laryngeal musculature, Lowering of larynx to appropriate position. Larynx manipulation: Surgery,Type III phonosurgery can be done, which includes surgical shortening and relaxation of the vocal cords. You can consult a ENT specialist for the same.

I'm having puberphonia since 12 years. My voice is hours and sounds like female sometimes. I want crisp and clear manly voice.

MD PHYSICIAN
General Physician, Delhi
During puberty in males the mass and length of the vocal fold increase and the pitch decrease. Few of the people although having appropriate vocal fold mass and length after the puberty, but are not able to switch to the new low pitch voice (male like. Mostly due to long time habits from childhood, speaking into a high pitch voice. In this case only thin edges of vocal cords vibrates and also the whole length of the vocal cord does not vibrate which leads female like voice. It can be very easily treated by voice therapy (vocal exercises) in most of the cases for about 1-2 week in some cases surgery is also advisable which causes shortening and relaxation of the vocal cords. Consult a ENT specialist and speech therapist for the same.

The Voice of my father is coming very low, he doesn't have cold or cough. He was so speaking fine a few weeks ago. It's just in last one week that his voice was muffled and today it's almost suppressed.

MD PHYSICIAN
General Physician, Delhi
Laryngitis is the most common cause of hoarseness and voice loss that starts suddenly. Most cases of laryngitis are caused by a viral infection that leads to swelling of the vocal cords. Other includes voice overuse, smoking, infection, GERD etc. Where inflammation of vocal cord occur which leads to difficult vibration of vocal cord leading to loss of voice pitch. The best treatment for this condition is to stay well hydrated and to rest or reduce voice use. Consult a ENT specialist to get evaluated and find out the underlying pathology.

Some times due to overuse of vocal cords can lead to vocal abuse. To treat so just give rest to your vocal cords, use warm saline water to gargle twice a day, you can sip warm drink as it soothes your throat, you can try steam inhalation too. But if it persist for long or associated with other symptoms like severe pain, sore throat etc consult an ENT specialist for the same.

Hi sir. I suffer from severe chest pains and pains at the back of my head, memory loss, speech difficulty, internal b...
Bad effects of masturbation are: a. The nervous system is affected the most. b. Besides the heart, the digestive system, the urinary system as well as the other systems are adversely affected and consequently the whole body becomes the museum of diseases with profound weakness. c.Continuous headache and backache. d. Dizziness and loss of memory. e. Palpitation of heart on lightest exertion. f. Nervousness. g. Unable to perform any heavy physical or mental work. h. The person dislikes any company and activities and rather likes to sit in seclusion and suffers from weakness. i. All the senses are impaired. j. Impotency. Therefore, young men are advised to consult a qualified and honest homoeopathic practitioner for his expert advice and effective treatment . Further, those young men who are or have been engaged in the regular habits of masturbation should not ignore the necessity to consult the qualified homoeopaths to avoid sexual embarrassment at the time of marriage. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

Hi I have been thru your concerns. One thing which you have not mentioned is this behaviour of Agression in his school also I would like to know his behaviour within his peer group the importance of this is that is this behaviour of Agression visible at all places or with his parents only .If the behaviour of Agression is visible everywhere like complaints from the school teachers of hitting other children and disobedience not remaining seated at one place, not able to play harmoniously with his friends, poor attention span than I would suggest to get him evaluated at a Child guidance clinic but if it is with parents only than the reasons of said behaviour should be found. In general I would tell you that behaviours are always learnt which means that it is possible that your child has learnt to get things doen his way by shouting ,misbehaving or hitting you among others. So the simple principle of modifying this behaviour is that by not giving him what he is trying to get by doing that particular behaviour so it means if you could give him a signal that if we don't have to give something to you howmuch ever you misbehave we not be giving u.when you start practicing it initially this behaviour may increase more but if you remain firm and you don't give him into his demands the child will get signal that I cannot get everything thing through misbehave if they don't have to give me they will not give me at any cost .But this practice will also test you r patience if you remain firm you improve the behaviour of you r child .I hope I answer u.also U can contact privately.

Stammering has very many reasons behind. It falls under neuro-linguistic problems. Many a times its behavioural, due to anxiety or fear. Try breathing techniques, meet a psychiartirst who might treat you with medicines or will advise to meet a speech therapist. The basic cause need to be find out as for you its from very young age. You need a detailed evaluation. Take care.
