Hearing songs by earphones in a medium for a long time is harmful to health? Bluetooth headset is harmful? Please tell.
Yes, it is not harmful but chronic exposure to loud sound causes permanent hearing loss, stress, anxiety and many more health related issues like headache, increases pulse rate etc. Avoid use of headphones.

Hi. I have tinnitus problem in both ears recently. It increased in the right ear. Audiogram suggests mild conductive hearing loss n I was told that tinnitus is not due to hearing issues. Then wht else causes these sounds and sometimes it gets very annoying. Thanks.
Hello, you recently got tinnitus problem in both ear, and your audiogram suggests mild cond. Hg. Loss, ok. Tinnitus may be seen in normal individuals and patients with hearing loss and its actual cause is unknown. Chronic noise exposure plays a vital role in tinnitus problem. It can only be prevented by relaxation therapy, living stress free whole day, you can also listen to slow music to reduce your perception of tinnitus sound etc.

Hi All, 15 days before I had otosclerosis, and now am able hear only 50 percentage of hearing from what I had before surgery, ill ma hearing get improvement? Am hearing soo many noise inside ma ear which is issue before surgery too. Below kindly note my discharge summary _______ Diagnosis: Bilateral otosclerosis Procedure: right stapecdectomy/ Teflon piston inserted. Under local anaesthesia right stapecdectomy done, artificial Teflon piston inserted. Canal pack kept. _______________.
Hello, you had undergone right side stepedectomy 15 days back, and after that your hearing power reduced, ok. Wait 2-3 months for complete healing of surgery area and get your ear checked and compare results with previous audiometry results and see the difference. And also you r suffering from noise in the ear due to otosclerosis in both ear. Ringing sound can be reduced after both ear surgery or by avoiding noise exposure, relaxation therapy, stress management etc. And you can also go for hearing aid if hearing power is not improved that much after surgery.

When I speak to people. They cannot hear my voice properly. They said me that you have bad sound. But in the past I was able to speak clearly but now what has happened with me. I have cough also. What should I do now?
Go for voice evaluation by an audiologist, because there is something wrong with your vocal system i. E. Infection in larynx due to which you r suffering from dry cough and voice problem, which is unpleasant for listeners. So try to talk less, drink luke-warm water, avoid throat clearing, avoid tea, coffee, too much shouting etc. For voice conservation.

I have mennieres syndrome. I have fluctuating hear. I have severe mixed hearing loss in both the ears, esp left ear. Is there any treatment for this. Should I use hearing aids.
Hi, now you r in meniere's disease, the symptoms are aural fullness, vertigo, fluctuating hearing loss and tinnitus. And you r diagnosed with bilateral severe mixed hg. Loss, ok. It is better for you to go for a digital hg. Aid in left ear, if possible use in both ear. Medications and surgery has limited benefit on meniere's disease.

I am having trouble in hearing. I am only 45 can I have hearing problem in this age. I am not that old. Can this be because I have to communicate on headphones due to my work.
Hello, there is no age limit for hearing loss, it can affect anybody irrespective of age, gender, race, religion etc. As you mentioned you r talking to people through headphones, which can one of the main reason for hearing loss, because continuous use of headphones leads to temporary hearing loss and eardrum rupture, so try to avoid or maintain a gap between use of headphone for air ventilation and protection of hearing mechanism.

If you r not able to hear from birth, it is due to infection or any other reason during maternal conception of your mother. And it can be prevented by the use of high power digital hearing aid or cochlear implant surgery, if there is total absence of hair cells in the organ of corti or inner ear. It may costs around @10 lakh in both ear. So get your ear checked first and then go for either hearing aid or surgery according to your report or audiologists recommendation.
