Please suggest home treatment for my autism child. He is a boy of 4 years. Everything physical appears normal but he ...
Hello sir, I hope you understand Autism well, if not I humbly request you to read about it. It is really important to understand the condition if you wish to work on home program. 1) please try and improve eye contact of your child through food items of his choice. Take it to your eye then to his and then again back to your eye and then to his mouth to feed him. 2) Reinforce him if he response to his name but try to cut on iPad, mobile and t.v. They gadgets are not good for him considering his condition. 3) try to involve him in home task and role plays. 4) Everytime reinforce good behaviour and teach him waiting if he needs anything, ask him to wait for 30 second before giving. Increase waiting time slowly. 5) you haven't mentioned if he can speak few words or nothing at all. So I can't guide you regarding speech and language. 6) maintain a strict sleeping, eating, playing schedule for him. Take him to park at least for half an hour daily. 7) please mention what all sensory issues he has so that I can guide you further. 8) Consult a professional time to time so that a customised home program can be formulated for your son. I hope it will be helpful.

1 Year= 365 Opportunities
  • As this new year begins (first month is half over) let's not just make fake resolutions to break them every sunday blinging on foreign desserts like cheesecakes or waffle instead dear friends let's blinge on till (sesame) and gud (jaggery) ladoos, nariyal (coconut) ki burfi. These are far more healthy and connects us to our roots. Our genes respond them better as we are grew up consuming them. These indian Super foods are rich source of nutrients and they even help us cut down our super cravings.
  • Don't starve yourself, eat wisely and enjoy life.
  • Have a gadget free day day once a week. Owners of multi million dollars tech firms have confessed that they gave their children gadget free upbringing. Why aren't we learning our lesson? let's wake up before it is too late.

Know About Tea
  • We indians have a unique love for tea, every person has its own version of tea. Someone wants it strong, some sweet some more milk etc. It is not bad to have tea, tea contain anti oxidants which are very good to take care of fre radicald hence help in delay aging. But remember never take tea first thing in the morning. Try to eat a banana first thing in morning. Banana is a whole food it itself. It provides our body metabolism boost and neccesary nutrients required.
  • Green tea should only be consumed post breakfast or lunch. Apple causes gastritis hence an shud never be consumed empty stomach.

My 10 years old daughter is not yet able to pronounce ch, shhh mantra in Hindi her English is his but Hindi language is not much clear .What should b done .As she has improved a lot in 2 years as she realize that her pronunciation is not correct lot of improvement but still does speech therapy will help her. Nearby hospital r they his enough in this. Really bit worried as sometimes v don't understand why is she saying n she says specially if she says quickly. If she speaks slowly thn words r clear.

If she can speak English language without any problem of pronunciation and only problem is with few hindi syllable then she probably do not require speech therapy, she requires attention and correct repetition of those words and monosyllables. Motivate child to speak slowly and reinforce her when she speaks clearly. As a parent you try to speak with her as slowly as possible. Please ask her teacher also to do the same in class.
