Very high values of Triglycerides may be due to drinking a lot of alcohol, poorly controlled diabetes, obesity, kidney problems, under-active thyroid, regularly eating more calories than you burn, drinking a lot of alcohol as major reasons. Try to identify the reasons or consult me in private for me to help you. A lot can be done with proper diet & lifestyle or a medication can be added. Stay blessed & Live Life More!

Valvular Heart Disease - 5 Reasons Behind it

DHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Valvular Heart Disease - 5 Reasons Behind it

There are valves in the each of the four chambers of the heart. These valves make sure that blood flows in one direction only. The blood flows from the atria into the ventricles through the mitral and the tricuspid valves. The pulmonic and the aortic valves allow the blood to flow out of the ventricles. Valve problems occur when the normal functioning of the valve is impaired.

Impaired valve function leads to blood flow obstruction, which in turn can lead to stenosis of the valve. This puts lot of strain on the heart muscles, forcing it to work harder. It may also lead to the blood flowing backwards through the valve and back into the heart.

The various causes of valvular heart disease are:

  1. Valvular heart disease: If you are suffering from rheumatic fever, it may lead to valvular heart disease
  2. Congenital heart disease: Congenital heart disease refers to various defects in the heart which are present since birth. In some cases, these defects may include being born with abnormal valves.
  3. Heart attack: If you have suffered a heart attack, your heart muscles may be damaged or impaired.
  4. Cardiomyopathy: This is a genetic disorder that is characterized by an inability of the heart to pump blood efficiently.
  5. Age: Ageing may cause certain changes in the body that lead to valvular heart disease.

Valvular heart disease is treated by various homeopathic remedies that do not have any side effect. It takes a holistic approach to healing the body as it gets to the root of the disease. The various homeopathic remedies for valvular heart disease are:

  1. Cactus grandiflorus: This remedy is used in a number of heart complications such as stenosis of the valve. It helps in getting rid of the inflammation in the heart muscles, so that the heart can pump blood efficiently.
  2. Digitalis: Digitalis is another remedy that helps in healing the muscles of the heart by regulating the pulse.
  3. Kalmia latifolia: Kalmia latifolia is a homeopathic remedy that is used in treating various complications of the heart. It also helps in symptoms of rheumatic fever that may lead to valvular heart disease.

Dear Pregnancy causes changes in the hormones and the resulting changes in the internal belly. Cramps can be due to gas formation or acidity that is again common in early pregnancy. Encourage her to eat fresh natural foods, fruits and walk daily for about 30 to 45 mins slowly and comfortably. Make sure she stays away from any kind of food that causes discomfort, acidity, gas or is too heavy to digest. Regards.

Eat fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables, freshly cooked meals and make sure you drink 2 to 3 liters of normal to warm water daily. Stay away from salty and preserved or packaged items. Irrespective of how much they advertise to be safe for all. Regards.

Hi Diagnosed Vasculitis & sjogren syndrome: Like to know d difference of above disease: Is any fear of danger or curable?

M.B.B.S. , PG Diploma In Clinical Cardiology
Cardiologist, Delhi
Sjogren's (SHOW-grins) syndrome is a disorder of your immune system identified by its two most common symptoms — dry eyes and a dry mouth. Sjogren's syndrome often accompanies other immune system disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. In Sjogren's syndrome, the mucous membranes and moisture-secreting glands of your eyes and mouth are usually affected first — resulting in decreased production of tears and saliva. Vasculitis is an inflammation of your blood vessels. It causes changes in the walls of blood vessels, including thickening, weakening, narrowing and scarring. These changes restrict blood flow, resulting in organ and tissue damage. There are many types of vasculitis, and most of them are rare. Vasculitis might affect just one organ, such as your skin, or it may involve several. The condition can be short term (acute) or long lasting (chronic). Vasculitis can affect anyone, though some types are more common among certain groups. Depending on the type you have, you may improve without treatment. Or you will need medications to control the inflammation and prevent flare-ups. Vasculitis is also known as angiitis and arteritis. They are non curable symptoms can be controlled by medicines.

Dear Masturbation will surely fluctuate the BP. And there is no clinical study to support the statement that it will help lowering BP. Do not rely on this technique to stabilize BP. It does not help in this way. Regards.

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help for your mother. Well, her hypertension needs to be controlled as otherwise it can damage the kidneys. I would advise that you consult a nephrologist who can monitor not only her kidney health but also recommend treatment as appropriate to control high BP. Long term usage of analgesics are best avoided. She can apply 'Rumalaya Gel' topically 2 to 3 times daily, followed by heat treatment for 15 - 20 minutes, preferably with a hot water bag or heating pad as appropriate. She needs to streamline her diet & lifestyle, avoid high calorie foods including fast foods etc all and stay well hydrated unless her doc advises otherwise. Sugar and salt needs to be restricted on a day to day basis. Additionally, she should de-stress/ walk regularly and stay relaxed. Hope this helps. Take care and all the very best. Sincerely

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. I advise you to consult a diabetologist who can advise medications appropriately to control your triglyceride levels. Simultaneously, you will require to streamline your diet and restrict salt, sweets, oily, greasy, high calorie and fried stuff including fast foods. Try restrict carbohydrate intake to whole grain cereals, whole wheat/ brown bread etc all. Take fresh & fibrous fruits (especially apples) & vegetables and stay hydrated, drinking at least 8 - 10 glasses of water daily. Additionally, omega-3s, vegetable oils with PUFA, garlic, amla, cayenne, green tea, vitamin D, fenugreek (methi), isabgol, flaxseed etc all can be of help here. It is also important that you streamline your lifestyle, exercise daily for at least 45 minutes, and try reducing your stress levels at work and also at home. Certain yogasanas (especially Vajrasana) & pranayams also help control cholesterol & obesity both. Daily relaxation is equally important for your heath as diet & lifestyle is. At the same time it is also advisable for one to restrict alcohol & stop smoking completely. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best. Sincerely,

I am 24 years female. I felt shivering coming from my spine to other parts. My heart is beating fast. Feeling nausea....
When your body temperature decreases, in an attempt to restore the former optimum temperature, the Brain and spinal cord tells your muscles to tighten and relax one after the other. This causes the sudden electrical shiver down your spine. This is an evolutionary quirk. Cimicifuga. [homeopathic medicine] This remedy is especially adapted to the reflex form of spinal irritation arising from uterine complaints, and where the lumbar region is most affected. There is sensitiveness to pressure on the upper and lower cervical vertebrae; the patient cannot lean back in a chair; pains change about from one part to another. The pressure also sometimes causes nausea, and there is weakness of the lower extremities and aching in the lumbar region.
