She has TB so what fruit she has to eat and how to recover from this and which milk (fat or fat free) she has to drink.

MBBS, MD
Pulmonologist, Delhi
A tb patient can take all types of fruits and vegetables if she does not have diabetes. A healthy diet with rice, dal, chapatti, vegetables with curd, milk and some fruits should be taken. If she eats non veg food you can give her eggs and some times chicken if you can afford.

Tb can occur anytime and can occur again even after taking complete treatment. There are high chances of drug resistant tb second time. You should take care of your health, eat healthy food, do not smoke, do deep breathing exercises and avoid contact with people having tb.

Points to Note While Taking TB Treatment

MBBS, MD
Pulmonologist, Delhi

If you have been diagnosed with TB your doctor would have prescribed treatment to you. You must:

Take all TB medicines together.

Take them first thing in the morning on empty stomach.

Do not eat/drink anything for half an hour after taking TB medicines. This helps in better absorption of TB medicines .

Do not miss out a single dose.

Follow your doctor`s advce sincerely.

If you develop any side effects after taking TB medicines consult your doctor immediately

Hi Doctors I am facing one problem, I am 28 years old , do regular exercise 4 days a week, I have shorten of breath problem , Now my stomach/ belly is becoming big like balloon as it has some gas stuck . Whenever I have shorten of breath it becoming big . If I will have medi 2-3 days then it will be normal. What exactly it is and how I should deal in it ,

MBBS, MD
Pulmonologist, Delhi
Probably you are suffering from dyspepsia in which you have feeling of bloating feeling in the stomach. This is due to excessive gas production associated with ingestion of certain food. This may cause breathlessness. I hope you do not have any allergy/asthma. Consult your local physician who will prescribe some medicines for dyspepsia.

Do not think of extreme conditions. Every time you fall sick it does not mean that you have cancer. You could still be having some residual infection in the chest or some times cough takes little longer to settle down. Consult your doctor again and if required a chest x ray and a blood test can be done and a corse of antibiotics should be given.
