It is very safe to remove a wisdom tooth, following all the guidelines. A wisdom tooth is like any other tooth as far as extraction is concerned.

Sensitive Teeth

Sensitive Teeth

Is the taste of ice cream or a sip of hot coffee sometimes a painful experience for you? Does brushing or flossing make you wince occasionally? If so, you may have sensitive teeth.

Possible causes include:

  • Tooth decay (cavities)

  • Fractured teeth

  • Worn fillings

  • Gum disease

  • Worn tooth enamel

  • Exposed tooth root

In healthy teeth, a layer of enamel protects the crowns of your teeth—the part above the gum line. Under the gum line a layer called cementum protects the tooth root. Underneath both the enamel and the cementum is dentin.

Dentin is less dense than enamel and cementum and contains microscopic tubules (small hollow tubes or canals). When dentin loses its protective covering of enamel or cementum these tubules allow heat and cold or acidic or sticky foods to reach the nerves and cells inside the tooth. Dentin may also be exposed when gums recede. The result can be hypersensitivity.

Sensitive teeth can be treated. The type of treatment will depend on what is causing the sensitivity. Your dentist may suggest one of a variety of treatments:

  • Desensitizing toothpaste. This contains compounds that help block transmission of sensation from the tooth surface to the nerve, and usually requires several applications before the sensitivity is reduced.

  • Fluoride gel. An in-office technique which strengthens tooth enamel and reduces the transmission of sensations.

  • A crown, inlay or bonding. These may be used to correct a flaw or decay that results in sensitivity.

  • Surgical gum graft. If gum tissue has been lost from the root, this will protect the root and reduce sensitivity.

  • Root canal. If sensitivity is severe and persistent and cannot be treated by other means, your dentist may recommend this treatment to eliminate the problem.

Proper oral hygiene is the key to preventing sensitive-tooth pain. Ask your dentist if you have any questions about your daily oral hygiene routine or concerns about tooth sensitivity.

Adenoids if causing trouble then are suppose to be removed before 10 yrs of age. Which u will be advised by ENT surgeon. And once u get operated u shud visit an orthodontist for correcting mouth breathing with simple removable appliances and then braces if required after 12 yrs of age.

Hello as per your query a continuous and throbbing toothache radiating to ear and side of the head can be due to tooth infection caused by caries in the oral cavity. In case the toothache is only surrounding the tooth then it will be due to food lodgement in the gums through a cavity between 2 adjacent teeth. Do pay a visit to a dentist.

Ask him to use himalaya's hi-ora mouthwash twice a day smell can be due to collection of plaque and tartar on the surface of the teeth. Also ask him to get all tartar removed from his mouth by a dentist.

Our teeth perform the most important function - of chewing food. If they are used for other purposes such as cracking nuts, removing bottle tops or ripping open packaging, it can lead to chipped or broken teeth.

Tooth ache can be due to cavity or gum issues. If itis a cavity then you need to get a root canal treatment done followed by a crown. Smaller not deep cavity can be cure with fillings. To prevent cavity use fluoride rich tooth paste.

4 Foods That Strengthen Your Child’s Teeth

4 Foods That Strengthen Your Child’s Teeth
4 Foods That Strengthen Your Child’s Teeth

Kids have a mind of their own when it comes to food. The unhealthier it is, the more they tend to like it. Most taste driven or sweet foods are harmful for your child’s oral hygiene. However not all foods that your children like to eat are as bad for their oral health, some even help strengthen their teeth.

Here are 4 foods that your children can have for healthy teeth and gums.

1) Sugarless Gum - It helps loosen plaque and increase the number of natural antibodies in the mouth. It also keeps the gums hydrated. While too much of anything is not good, these gums are good once in a while.

2) Crispy Vegetables - These might not be popular with children but can be made yummy with interesting dips to go with them. Raw carrots, celery, cauliflower, and green beans are chewing foods which clean the child's teeth and gums.

3) Natural Sugar - Sugar from milk, yoghurt and cheese are rich in vitamin D, phosphate and calcium. When consumed, they raise the pH level of the mouth which lowers the level of acids, hence reducing risk of tooth decay.

4) Vitamin C Rich Foods - Fruits like oranges, kiwis, strawberries, papayas and limes help kill bacteria that can cause gingivitis. They also aid a good supply of collagen in the child's gums. However, parents need to remember that one can eat citrus foods only after thirty minutes from brushing their teeth. This is because the citric acid in these foods can weaken the tooth enamel temporarily.

Namaskaar Manav! Agar aapke daanto ka peelapan tambaku ke kisi bhi tarah ke prayog karne se hai to aapko uska prayog band karna hoga tabhi upchaar kaamyab ho sakega. Iska upchaar hai ek yogya dant chikitsak dwara daanto aur masudho ki paradhwanik yantrik safai. Taduparant bhi peelapan barkarar rahe to rasayano dwara dant chamkai ki prakriya puri ki ja sakti hai. Apke mukh se badbu aane ka bhi ilaaz yahi hai. Saath hi aap koi mukh kulla drav bhi prayog kar sakte hai jaise chlorhexidine or listerine itayadi. Ek padha likha gyani dant chikitsak aapko gharelu nuskhe se daanto ka peelapan door karne ke salah nahi dega jaise ki neebu ka ras, khane ka soda ityadi. Ye sab galat tarike se prayog karne pe daanto ko kshanik laabh milta hai aur baad me jyada nuksaan hota hai. Isliye hey mitra aap gharelu nuskhe pe dhyan na de aur ek bhingya dant chikitsak se sampark karen. Dhanyawaad.

My teeth are not in regular place, how much does it cost to fix that with transparent clips?
Costs vary from 25 to 80000 depending on the doctor and area. These treatments are done once in lifetime, hence always go to a good doctor, rather than thinking about money.
