Dear , migraine is a type of chronic secondary headache. The causation is not known. However there are several triggers like stress, less sleep, coffee etc which varies from patient to patient. But first step in diagnosing a chronic headache is to understand whether it is migraine or something else.

My age is 23. My height is 6 ft. My weight is 78 kg. I also had habit of masturbation since 17-18 .i used to do it daily one time by rubbing penis against bed but. From last three years I was doing 4-5 times daily by rubbing penis against bed for hours. I never felt any type of weakness nor I look thin. I have a strong personality. The only thing I noticed that 70% of my hair are greyed now. 6 month ago I had problem of head pain. Half head pain and on back side of pain .It was migraine. I left masturbation and saturated focussing on yoga. I used yo do yoga daily for 2 hours. Two month after one day I had frequent urination. The same problem goes on for three day so I had check. It was urine infection along with prostate enlarge 22. 6 cc.and my weight was reduced then. 4-5 kg. Buf uric acid was normal. But from that day I used to have more symptom such as penis head pain. A very sharp pain inflammation of legs and whole body. Numbness and tingling in whole body. Pain in whole body even mouth. Stomach pain. noticed.my blood sugar even after eating reaches to less than 70 .from these five month excessive hair growth in my body. Too.much hair all over body. eyebrows are becoming thicker .head hair chest hair. Except I dnt have beard. I have high bp 150/100. All my these symptoms correlate to adrenal gland disease. I have dark coloured urine. I also have very smelly urine these days n.so bad smell. And my chest and abdomen enlargement along with hair growth on body is on increasing frequency these days. Or pituitary tumour as my head pains a lot but stomach too. My belly fat is coming too .i am gaining weight even I have reduced diet. Hi lybrate-user, masturbation does not cause adrenal gland disease. Hair fall/loss can be due to variety of causes. However, many of them can be controlled and dealt with. Most common cause is nutrient deficiency which can be rectified my oral medications and supplements. There are medicines available for local application which are also known to give significant results. Treatments like mesotherapy, microneedilling and prp show significant long term effects. There are two pillars for weight loss. Diet and exercise. Thought right diet can control further weight gain and assure overall health, exercise is must for weight reduction. 30 mins walk (to start with), with well-balanced diet (depending on your health condition) can lead to gradual and healthy weight loss. I would be happy to help you. Please consult me privately so that I can understand your problem in detail and help you. You can book a private in-person/text/audio/video appointment for further discussion and personalized advice.

I have paralysis, and what can I do now I have many troubles and can't do anything.

Master of Speech Language Pathology
Speech Therapist, Bangalore
Dear lybrate-user, paralysis causes difficulty in moving either leg or hand of one side of the body. In such case you need to attend physical therapy to improve your mobility and strength and occupational therapy to improve your hand functions. In case of any speech language and swallowing problems, you need to consult a speech language pathologist. You need to keep in mind that more you use the muscles better they become. Try to be active as much as possible and try not to be dependent on your family members for daily activities.

Treatment depends upon what kind of symptoms you have, their severity, duration and any impairment due to them, whether at work or home or personal relations. Yes, perceived somatic complaints like pain could be due to untreated anxiety. In such a case the physical evaluation even with lab investigations may turn out to be normal.

Tips for Parents to Deal with Autistic Children

The moment when you learn about your child being autistic can be a life changing moment for you. You might feel all the dreams and aspirations which you built around your child come crashing down on a pile of zilch. However, recent developments in this field show that you can certainly take steps to make your child more comfortable and bond well with them.

Autism related disorder usually begin before the age of 3, when the child starts encountering problems in communication and social interaction. This article tries to help you find a way to deal with an autistic child:

  1. Learn more about autism: Learn about autism as much as you can; a broad understanding of the causes and symptoms of the disorder can help you understand your child better. This will also enable you to respond to your child’s needs better, both physical and psychological.
  2. Build a strong support system: It is difficult to parent a child who is suffering from autism. Communicating and interacting with your child might be extremely difficult and problematic. In order to overcome this stress, you should have a strong support network, a support network from which you can draw your strength and logic once you have to take major life decisions for your child.
  3. Review your treatment options: It is advisable to start treatment immediately after the diagnosis is done. Early treatment can help better your child’s cognitive skills that can help him/her cope better with the surroundings and circumstances. The treatment options include behavioral training whereby self-help or social skills training is used to work on the child’s communication skills and behavior. Specialized therapy is another option whereby the therapies are directed at a particular aspect of the child, primarily speech or physical functioning.
  4. Focus on your child’s diet: Diet plays an important role in the regularization of any disease. Even in case of autism, deficiency of certain vitamins or minerals makes it very important to analyze the diet and then assess it. Consult with the doctor before making any modification to the child’s diet.
  5. Behavioral training: Behavioral training is an aspect of autism treatment that allows the child to adapt to various conditions. Before a child undergoes behavioral training, it is advised to assess his/her behavior, functional abilities and the environment your child belongs to. The objective of this therapy or training is to induce desired behavior and get rid of the undesirable ones. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a psychiatrist and ask a free question.

Migraine is a type of relapsing headache. The acute attacks have to fursttreated and then treatments for preventing future relapses and precipitating factors has to be also started. Problems like allergies, sinusitis, sleep irregularities, anxiety, stress, depression etc have to be dealt with as this helps to prevent frequent relapses. Consult a headache specialist and psychiatrist accordingly for treatment. For any assistance thereof you may contact me online.

Suffering from migraine.what can i do?

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist,
Migrane can be managed with lifestyle changes and medications, try muscle relaxation exercises. Relaxation may help ease the pain of a migraine headache. Get enough sleep, but don't oversleep. Get an adequate amount of sleep each night. It's best to go to bed and wake up at regular times, as well. Rest and relax. If possible, rest in a dark, quiet room when you feel a headache coming on. Place an ice pack wrapped in a cloth on the back of your neck and apply gentle pressure to painful areas on your scalp. It is very important keep a headache diary. Continue keeping your headache diary even after you see doctor. It will help you learn more about what triggers your migraines and what treatment is most effective. A dose of riboflavin in appropriate dose as prescribed by me, also may prevent migraines or reduce the frequency of headaches. Coenzyme q10 supplements may decrease the frequency of migraines, magnesium supplements may also be used to treat migraines do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

Is Sleep Paralysis a Symptom of a Serious Problem? Yesterday left side full not sense (top to bottom like head, hand and leg) this is 1st time happening to me.

MBBS, Master In Health Science
Neurologist, Mumbai
Usually sleep paralysis affects the entire body and is part of narcolepsy which includes cataplexy (neck quickly losing power e.f. While Laughing) and excessive daytime sleepiness. Since your episode was so asymmetric you should be very intensively evaluated to rule out a transient loss of blood supply to one part of your brain (a transient ischaemic attack or TIA)
