Hello lybrate-user, In your case you can try for lean proteins to build-up your growing body parts. As you are in a stage of life in which nutrition diet & physical activity should go hand in hand parallel. If you are a non-veg you can easily take lean chicken, fish and eggs, if you are a vegetarian, than you can go for not only milk and milk products but also soy products (like soy beans, soy milk, soy chaap). Pulses, fruits and water intake is a must in your age. Many a times in school life, with our school-tutions-home schedule, we skip our fruit meals. I suggest you not to skip it, skipping an evening snack for fruit meal is more worthwhile. May be today it appears unnecessary but for the long run in life it is a must, because the way you will build-up your body today will show you the results tomorrow and in future. For exercises go for yogas (best for height increase are ushtra-asana, chakra-asana, dhanur-asana, paschimatta-asana and very familiar 'surya-namaskar'). Stretching and gymnastics, cycling, swimming all are helpful. At this age taking supplements is not a must, try natural things, seasonal fruits and vegetables. All the best for your future. Hi as my wife was suffering from fever from last a week and we went to a govt hospital as the they give diclofenac injection for two days and one DNS they gave after that she find relief and they gave tablet also called diclofenac tablet for two times she took after that she got swelling in the legs like feet and knee now she is suffering from swelling and pain pls help.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Some patients may develop swelling in lower limbs due to retention of water and sodium following intake of certain NSAIDs like diclofenac. It could be due to not tolerating that drug. So it is better she avoids it. First thing is stop the drug and if needed some antihistaminic may be used. Swelling will go away after stopping the drug. Henceforth, she should avoid using that compound again. Thanks.

The lower back consits of the end spinal segments, the sacrum coccyx, the muscular and neuro-vascular structures mainly. All these are important so as carry out the basic function of the back that is bending forward, carrying your body weight around, etc. If any of these are affected you may pain, tingling numbess, weakness,etc. As you have mentioned that the MRI was essentially normal, you can focus on the following line of treatment. 1) strengthening of the lower back mucles 2) strengthening of the hamstrings and the quadriceps 3) both above things will require a good physiotherapist 4) reduction of wieght if you are overwieght 5) avoidance of the repetitive strain like bike rides, faulty postures etc 6) for current pain management try hot fomentation, change of mattress, and any of the good over the counter muscle relaxant advised by your physician. Nobody can predict a happy married life. Nothing wrong in marrying a divorced man, but the real reason why his first marriage broke should ne ascertained. Also you can get a personality test/ evaluation for both of them to reasonalby predict if there is a maladaptive personality trait underlying as the mature man might project his good only and hide his underlying negative behavior, whcih we see very commonly. Also the age difference is huge, after 5 to 10 years there might problems with physical relationship compatibility. Still, if everything is fine, you can proceed, but be careful, we see more failures with these type of guys and double check everything. All the best.

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your daily food intake should ideally consist of nuts, dry fruits, seeds, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. 5. Supplementation. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. 6. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

We all are aware of the fact that our height increases up to a particular age and then it comes to a halt. Height increases up to the age of 18years in women and up to the age of 20 years in men. Increase in height is attributed to the production of growth hormone, called the HGH( Human Growth Hormone), which is secreted by the pituitary gland called the master gland of our body. It is rather difficult to increase height after reaching adulthood as the production of these hormones slowly stops. In most cases, the epiphyses of the long bones are fused as the last bits of cartilaginous tissue in the bones turn into solid hard bones. This prevents any further growth in longer bones. Hi lybrate-user A) apply mixture of honey and fresh juice of BASIL LEAVES on face, two times in a day. B) take 200 ml of fresh buttermilk and 1 tsf of jaggery during meals… C) take 30 ml juice of BASIL LEAVES and LEMON along with 10 ml of HONEY and 30 ml of water, early in the morning, on empty stomach. Do all these things for 15 days. It gives you good result. THANKS.
